When ever I do a kick flip it always does a million kcickflips.
Thats cuz you didnt leran ollies and pop shuvs first

Best way to learn the rotation is to pop an ollie and pull your hand hard to the left (if you are right handed) you'll see the rotation and you'll start to get it down, if your fingerboard spins like a tre flip it means you're scooping with your middle finger instead of just popping.

i did this and i landed a triple kickflip
NO, DO NOT LEARN KICKFLIPS BEFORE THE OLLIE. I've been fingerboarding for almost 5 years or more and trust me learning to ollie is essential for being able to do other tricks. I'm guessing you wanna do something else other than just flatground sketchy kickflips all the time, so that's why you need to learn these tricks in this order:
1. shuvit (it's the easiest trick of them all. I just teached my friend how to do it without them having any experience)
2. ollie (it's the most important trick of them all. You need it if you want to do anything that isn't flatground because you need it for learning to properly control, pop and flick your board)
3. ollie into manuals and grinds (If you only learned how to kickflip it will be impossible to do any tricks to manuals and grinds MEANING you will only do flatground. LEARN HOW TO OLLIE INTO GRINDS AND MANUALS FIRST!!)
4. Varial kickflips and POP shuvits (Varial kickflips - when you do a kickflip your board will start to turn backside while doing a kickflip, meaning all you have to do is let it spin 180 while doing a kickflip and catch it. POP shuvits - it's an advanced shuvit meaning it goes up in the air higher. If you know how to ollie and shuvit it's a piece of cake.)
5. kickflips (Once you know how to ollie into all grinds, pop shuv it, shuv it and possibly varial flip you can finally learn how to kickflip. That is because you now are comfortable on your board and have lots of control and if you know how to pop shuvit you also know how to catch the board which is ESSENTIAL)
6. AFTER nailing everything and knowing how to kickflip and catching it mid air and landing it every single time you can learn kickflips to grinds and slides.
If you don't learn like this everything will look sketchy. AND yes you may know how to "kickflip" from this video but i bet if you learn this before the ollie you look sketchy, stiffy, stale and unclean.

Yeah, that’s the order I learned.
I know how to ollie pretty high, and I can shuv it and kind of varial, but It wont spin at all. It just flies away when I try to do the hand motion. I cant pop and do the motion really, all I can do is try to move my finger the same time as I pop and it just does random things. Can I send you a video and you can help maybe????

Whenever i try to kickflip i just flick down my middle finger or it goes flying because i do the swipe to hard and i cant get it to flip it just goes flying straight and i cant do the swipe

The sliding really helped but I slide at the center of the board instead of the side and I do an Ollie finger positioning

IMPORTANT!
For those who have tried everything and its still not working, I figured out a small detail I haven't heard in any tutorial and it totally fixed things for me.
I've been trying to kickflip for 2 months and every time what would happen is the board goes vertical, spins too much, and does a half varial. Always wrong.
But I realized it was because I was trying to do the "finger slide" movement from the exact moment I popped the board, without waiting.
But what REALLY works is if you first pop the board neutrally, just like an ollie, then when you're at the top of the arc, slide your hand down and off the board diagonally to the left, like you've kind of apathetically given up on the ollie. It helps to angle your hand forward and down at this angle /, while the board is at this angle \, so your index finger is the only thing in contact with the board.
When you do it like this, waiting until the top of the pop before initiating the kickflip slide, it evens the board out and you have a perfect kickflip!
I'm so stoked haha so I hope this helps someone else who is having the same problem.

@@jess.m9 could be because you're scooping your back finger when you pop. Or also could be that you're sliding your front finger at the wrong angle. Sometimes I find that flicking my wrist sharply to the left helps with that instead of keeping my wrist straight

I’ve been using tech decks since high school I’m 30 now. Yesterday I bought a tech deck. But I’m disabled I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it but if I can I wanna get a good one like a teak tuning board

The best way to do it is taking your hands off the board in the middle of an ollie

The best way i learn how to kick flip on a fingerboard is do a pop shove it but put your middle finger in the left side of the tail, Then you do a peace sign .
Almost every time I do a kickflip it makes a varial kickflip but I want it to go straight because to me it looks cleaner

Imma be real, i been tryna learn to kickflip by just sliding my 2 fingers like that and 90% of the time it either launches to board forward or does a varial flip and whenever i did land a kickflip it felt like an accident. but just now i started using just my front finger to flip it and it has made them much much more consistent so i wouldnt write that off as the "wrong" way to do it and maybe some people just learn different ways
