Laurie Perez reports from Pasadena where thousands of fans came out to see the match between two of the world biggest soccer teams, Real Madrid and Juventus, play in the Rose Bowl.
I went to the game - an atmosphere like this is such a great thing to be around. The problem was that most of us were let down by the City and the officials responsible for making things organized. Despite knowing that 100k people were going to descend to the Bowl, Pasadena had little to no traffic coordinators at the major intersections near the Bowl. Thousand of cars were stuck at these intersections - and thus the freeways and arteries around them - because the packed intersections would have no space for any cars to move through…we were all stuck like roaches in a Roach Motel. Only into the second half did the Bowl finally fill up as many fans were literally stuck for over an hour just within a half mile from the Bowl. An absolute disgrace and another example of public officials who have important sounding jobs but actually do no work…
It was a great show how ever, parking was a mess, it took me a little more than 2 hours to get out of the parking lot, a total mess, they really need to improve this.
That is why you get someone to drop you off /pick you up or Uber. That's what I did and have never looked back, I know the pain of parking and trying to get out of the Rose Bowl from past experiences
The teams are based in those countries but the players (from both teams) are from different countries. For example there's Brazilians, Argentines, French, Belgian, Croatian etc. between both these teams.
80% are Central Americans 😂 Real Madrid or Barcelona are the only teams they root for . Since nobody knows or cares for their hometown teams if they exist . 😂
I mean In the US people of all walks of life make up the US and funny enough Real Football has people of many walks of life and that’s makes Football ⚽️ the greatest sport in the World and today proved it in US soil and I’m US citizen of Mexican roots
