Trust me- sometimes it's just better to let the ball come to you. If everyone's locked on the ball- who's playing defense? Consider that. 2. Try being goalie. There are 4 players max on each team. If all of your teammates are locked on going in for offensive plays, try playing defense for once! It can be fun defending the goal at times. 3. Pay attention to stamina. As you can see, there's a stamina bar beside your avatar. Stamina lets you run and perform dive headers, however, you can't play recklessly with Stamina, or else you'll be left out of breath, and you'll be vulnerable on defense. 4. Dive Headers. Swing both joycons forward to perform a dive header - a powerful move that sends the ball flying. Performing a dive header consumes a lot of stamina and leaves you on the ground for a bit, so be careful with it. 5. Curve your shot. By curving your wrist and swinging the joycon at the same time - you can put some curve on your kicks. This is very useful for getting around good goalies, and could be crucial when passing to teammates. I hope to have helped just a little bit.

I've found NOT chasing the ball is very useful, also it's important to avoid crowds. I was goalie one time and I was watching a crowd run after the ball, but one player ran away from the crowd. Guess what? The ball got passed to him because he avoided the crowds.
