tip! whales have flat horizontal tails while sharks have pointed vertical tails :) that is actually the “whale shark”! a type of shark that’s significant for Qatar - and also the pearl and the ships are significant for qatar too - tribute to gulf arab sailors. the chant “alaho la dan” is actually a common line in a typical song that arab sailors would sing to each other to cheer and lift each others’ spirits :) absolutely love how global and inspirational the song is as u guys said! it’s a universal message and Jungkook our global superstar embodied it so well, complemented by fahad (he’s a famous qatari singer)
btw i love the michael jackson parallels u guys pointed out! exactly what i thought too. Jungkook is truly as iconic a figure of our times, like MJ was during his time. a living legend that we get to witness get even more legendary but always as humble as ever.

Whats more amazing is that Jungkook choose to debut on a solo stage where he knew that he will not be surrounded by ARMY nor kpop fans. He was so bold and sexy for this. I loved his confidence in himself that he will be still able to shine there and he did shine. People loved this song, he got lot of positive response and new fans who are soccer lovers. They're actually sharks, but other than that, you're correct. They're called whale sharks but they aren't mammals like whales and they have gills instead of breathing air like whales.
