@@clemsmith8799 the fallacy of the argument that the bill of rights can be repealed is that the individual rights or the states rights cannot be repealed because these are enumerated rights. The govt didn't grant these rights, we already had them. The bill of rights was simply a acknowledgement of natural rights we possessed and they wrote these rights up as it was particularly important to the people that had just spent 8 yrs to be free from a govt that violated all of these 10 rights during & before that war began. The moment someone in authority begins to act to repeal any of the bill of rights, this issue has moved beyond the soap box, & the ballot box, into the cartridge box realm. Sometimes, it's time to hoist the flag and begin slitting throats. If someone is alright with giving up their rights, fine, but that doesn't obligate me to do the same. That is why govt exists, their basic task is to secure my rights despite a larger group trying to deprive me of those rights. If govt fails to defend me against the mob, them it falls to me to defend myself & to throw off that govt in favor of one that does its function of securing my rights. Semper Fi

I taught my son at 4 years old what a gun is and even took him to the range so he could see how serious they really are. A couple loud bangs from a rifle and it really sank in to his young mind how dangerous a gun can be. I showed him several guns at home along with his toy guns and explained the differences and had him tell me which ones were real guns. He also knows that even “toy” guns can look like a real gun. I taught him that if he ever sees a gun on the ground DO NOT TOUCH IT and go get an adult immediately. I’ve kept drilling this into his mind for the last couple of years and take him shooting with me regularly and teaching him basic firearm safety.
He’s now 6 years old, a few weeks ago he was playing outside with a few of his friends aged 4-6. This group of kids found a rifle on the ground outside next to a bush. My son told the other kids not to touch it and he came and got me and said “Dad we found a rifle outside”. I ran over there immediately and found one of the kids picking up the gun. I grabbed his arms and took the gun out of his hands carefully. Thankfully it was an airsoft rifle but it was a good scare for the other kids’ parents. I’m very proud of my son for doing what he did and I’m so grateful things didn’t turn ugly. It’s amazing how quickly things can go south.
Teach your kids early folks, you may save their life or another child’s life one day.

Yes, you should, the only distinction is whether or not you can afford one. That should be the only delineating basis by which ownership is curtailed or not. Period. We as a collective REALLY need to stop calling it "gun rights" and start referring to it as what is ACTUALLY is- The right to DEFENSE. The 2A doesn't say the right to bear *GUNS.* It says the right to bear *ARMS.* That includes far more than JUST guns, and it's been a sticking point that hangs us up on accomplishing our goal of ending gun control. If you call it the right to DEFENSE, it's a lot harder to argue anything facilitating that. And truly, that *IS* what the 2A is about. It's not about hunting. It's not about recreation. It's not even about the military. It's about defending against TYRANNY.
"A well regulated Militia, *being necessary to the security of a free State,* the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
We all know the "militia" isn't talking about a standing army of the government. It's referring to the people. "Being necessary to the security of a free State" is the part everyone always glosses over. They argue about the meaning of militia, what "shall not be infringed" means, what constitutes "arms", etc etc etc. But what sensible person is going to argue the importance of defending yourself?
"Oh no you should always let someone punch you in the face."
"It's totally reasonable to stand still and let someone shoot you dead."
See how ridiculous it sounds? Right now, the anti gunners control the narrative, even so far as to us (the opposition) referring to these things on *THEIR* terms. Not *OURS.* Look, pun totally intended here, but let's aim for center mass. The real heart of the issue is that *WE* collectively understand WHY guns are so important- They allow us to defend ourselves, our families, and our nation. What's more, *WE SUPPORT THE IDEA OF DEFENSE.* The anti-gun community ALSO understands this... but *THEY DON'T SUPPORT THE IDEA OF DEFENSE...* at least, not OUR defense. THEY are fine. They have other people to do it for them (someone PLEASE invent a sarcasm emoji). And the rest of the folks that don't really pay attention as much? Let's see their ears perk up when it starts trickling down the pipeline that politicians want to take away their right to defend themselves.
The easiest analogy I can use to explain this to folks is "Would you look at a gazelle defending itself against a lion and say 'oh that's wrong. We should take away the gazelle's horns.'?" Every time I ask that question, it becomes a lot easier to relate the 2A to everything that matters... crime, tyranny, war.
"If someone goes after your kids in the middle of the night, would you let it just happen, or try to stop it? How?"
"If a country invaded us like what's happening in Ukraine, would you not want to to be able to defend your family at the very least? How?"
"What if that invasion came from within the country?" followed up with the question "You ever stop to consider the other side might feel EXACTLY the same way you do?" (This one works extremely well against the left... Because it humanizes US while making them see themselves as the bad guys, and vice versa all at once... they either shut up, try to change the topic, or, if they're not too far gone? They made even change their minds about it.)
So much of *OUR* time collectively is spent defending *OUR* position, which is completely logical and reasonable. We want to be able to defend ourselves and those we care about. If we reframe the narrative and make *THEM* defend *THEIR* positions, The pressure is on *THEM* to prove *THEIR* case. Basically, instead of fighting on the constant retreat, we take the offensive and DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
Look, I can argue this for days, but I'm sure I've made my case abundantly clear. If not, ask me and I'll clarify further. But I'll leave y'all with this little gem that I think sums it up pretty well- "Sometimes the best defense is a good offense."

@@Steven-oc4ds feel free to screen shot it. Whatever you gotta do. Let's get the word out, start a movement. If Colion notices this comment, maybe he'll agree. We have 25 states currently upholding constitutional carry. WE ARE NOT ALONE. We are many, and we are growing. We can win this fight, take back our nation, but we *NEED TO CHANGE STRATEGY.* We can't keep going for small victories while the anti gunners take huge wins like destroying the entire 80% industry. What good is constitutional carry if you have nothing to carry? Are we supposed to simply rely on the mercy of the government to not decide to go for to door taking every registered firearm they can find? The ATF redefining what constitutes a receiver is *INFINITELY* more important than constitutional carry. In less than 100 days, an industry and pastime that has existed longer than this country has will cease to exist. This isn't about "ghost guns", or any of the bullshit the left throws out there. At its deepest, most fundamental core of the issue, getting rid of the 80% industry is going to kill a major component of self reliance. By taking away the people's ability to manufacture the means to create the tools necessary to defend ourselves, they have made us almost entirely dependent on commercial means for the tools we need. Since commercial gun manufacturers are regulated by the government, we have in turn become dependent on the government for our protection, even if it might not seem like it. They can pull the plug at any time, change the rules, whatever they can come up with, and We the People are completely heroes to prevent it, no matter how many guns we might have. Gun control without actual gun control. It's class warfare in a nutshell. Make procuring arms something only certain income brackets can do legally, and you have effectively cut off the undesirable elements from providing for themselves the same basic inalienable rights we ALL should be able to exercise. Freedom isn't just for the rich, too those that think like it's... it's for everyone, and the anti gunners have just taken a huge win that nobody seems to care about. We're busy celebrating small wins and arguing the same tired ass arguments that AREN'T WORKING, simply on the basis that we are always playing defense.
So by all means, share away. Copy/paste, make a meme, whatever. I don't care about credit, I just want the word to spread.

I remember in high school we used to have gun racks in the trucks with rifles and shotguns in plain view. We had handguns in the vehicles. I never heard of an incident at my school with a firearm. I remember taking bible study class in high school. I gave my son a bible that I got when I was 10 years old. He loved it cause it was old and it was his dad's. He loves old vintage things. It was a reward I got for memorizing the ten commandments. It has a leather cover that zips up with my name printed on it. One day he took it to school and was reading it in class. He was called into the office and was warned to put it away, take it home, and never bring it back to school. They told my son another student saw him reading it. The other student said they felt threatened and didn't feel safe in the school because of him reading a bible. I don't understand what is going on with people these days.

I hate it so much I can't wait to move out of this arm pit, junk heap of a State. It's a shame, we use to be the garden state, the state with more horses per square mile than any other state. We use to be the farming state. Our beaches in the Southern part of the state are some of the nicest beaches. The sand on our beaches is amazing to walk on. It really use to be beautiful here. But now, after decades of Liberal control, not only is the state deteriorating but we have become one of the most expensive states to live in. Government control is out of control. Money disappears and no one cares. Remember all those casinos they were building in Atlantic City and all that money that was going to come pouring in and how it was going to totally revitalize AC and all that money that was promises to go to senior citizens in the state. Yeah, all of that went the same way as the promises to eliminate student debt. Democrat lies to bribe people to vote them into power. Gun control is a joke. In the State of New Jersey you can no longer go to the store and purchase a BB gun. That's right, In New Jersey, BB guns are treated just like any other firearm. Hell I had a BB gun before I was 10 years old, not now. I'm in my 50's and I had to go somewhere else where I could by a BB gun off the shelf and nobody asked me one question. I like how our Governor talks about making sure you know how to use the firearm you are going to purchase. Yeah ok, then try to find a place in NJ where you can go and shoot your firearm and keep up on your practice shooting. You can't find any anymore. They have close all the places we use to go and shoot. If you want to practice with your firearm you have to go and join a shooting range, and there aren't very many of those around depending on where you are in the State. New Jersey is the East Coast California my friends, and if you are in a state where Liberals are flocking, I feel sorry for you, because they are locusts. As a UK resident, there's a reason why firearm crime amongst the law abiding owners accounts for a pittance of the total stat and it's in education/supervision/assessment at a club before approval for a licence. I have no doubt we are far too strict on what we can legally own once we have acquired this knowledge, but there's no denying it's incredibly effective at emphasising the importance and responsibility of safe ownership and operation. I agree that it would be a huge boon to the U.S.A., but like the UK, the majority of your violent gun crime doesn't stem from the law abiding.

I'm trusted to protect the public each day yet am not permitted to carry on my own time. I actually have to carry a court order with me at all times stating this. The hoops I have to jump through just to be able to do my job are insane. You can't even purchase ammo without a firearms id card and all ammo sales are recorded. Don't even get me started on purchasing a firearm. You can't even buy an air rifle or co2 bb gun because NJ classifies them as firearms. It is illegal for me to shoot tin cans in my back yard with a pellet gun. This state is ridiculous with its gun laws. I cannot wait to leave this dump of a state.

I live in WV. 3 days ago, my buddy stopped by my house, and we went out on my back porch and fired 3 drum mags out of my Kansas City Typewriter (Thompson submachine gun). The neighbors all do the same thing, so no one bats an eye here when they hear gunfire. I can’t imagine how shitty it is for you and other gun owners (or people who would like to own guns, but can’t because of the restrictions) to live in a place that hates you so much. It’s a shame you have to leave your home just to exercise a constitutional right, but I hope you can get out of there so fast that they see flames shooting out of your ass, and never have to pay that state one more cent. Back when I took a financial planning class, the instructor advised us never to keep our health care proxy in a bank's safe deposit box. The reason being, nobody will have the authority to retrieve it, since you are now incapacitated. Storing your guns when not in use is an insane concept for the same reason. Firearms must always be within your reach in order to defend yourself. Having them locked up somewhere in your basement doesn't do any good when you're upstairs fighting with an intruder.
