Are most of the habitat improvements on your property close to “My Stand”? What if that’s what is hurting your chances at a mature buck?!? I see this quite often on family legacy deer hunting properties. On one hand, I love designing these parcels because hunters are so invested in improving the place. On the other hand, it is often very difficult for hunters to see dramatic improvement because they just can’t let go of “My Stand Disease”. This is a condition where they try to surround “My Stand” with habitat improvements and hunt it no matter the conditions or time of year.
