Sorry but the Challenger pack has nothing to do with me. I believe it was made by IHH and then later on it was acquired by DTG, so you'd have to ask them about it.
If you don't have Dynamic Lighting (the old TSX) enabled, the white (or yellowish) class lights are barely noticeable, although red and green show up reasonably well.
No you don't need the livery pack. I've written an article for Engine Driver that explains exactly how to do it: www.engine-driver.com/article/show/9156/union-pacific-fef-3-by-smokebox-in-depth-look-at-features
calendo The important point is that putting an "X" as the second character (counting from the left) in the auto-number code removes the smoke deflectors.
calendo Oh, i thought it was a selection from the menu when selecting a loco. Thanks for the speedy reply but i won't bother with this, it's too complicated to follow. (Not exactly savvy when it comes to stuff like this.)
Yep. I had actually started to make the genuine water car when I found out about DTG making the GTEL and its tender. The GTEL's tender isn't exactly the same as the water cars but it's close enough, so I abandoned my model (I didn't think many people would want to buy it if they could just use the GTEL tender instead).
Took me up on it huh. I actually figured it out about an hour after I suggested you doing this.
Yep, I had the same request from several people, so I thought, oh ok.
pleas release the old 2-8-0 that came with the old challenger pack

hey i would love to be gifted the USATC S160 but one with no lettering on the tender
You'd have to ask Victory Works - they made the S160 for TS.

Thanks Mike, really helped!
I just attempted a 10'000 ton coal drag.
How did you get on with that? It'll be easier when the patch is out (I'm preparing it now) that will allow two FEF-3 to be double-headed.
Where can you find the manual?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Manuals\EN\UP FEF-3 Steam Locomotive.pdf
thanks
I still don't know how to take off the smoke deflectors. Do i need the Overland livery pack to make it happen?

Smokebox? Do I need dynamic lighting on to use the class. lights because they aren't coming up for me on the HD HUD version.
Can you do this using train simulator 2016?
Yes, it works the same in TS2016 and TS2017.
Thanks, that's all I needed to know
Did you know in TS2016, people use the gas turbine part after the b unit as an auxiliary tender for the 844

My favorite auxiliary tender is the one with the American flag
Do you press a key on the keyboard to enable/disable Dynamic Lighting?
Jomo Hendy No, it's an option you have to enable in the game's graphics settings menu.
how did you get the wing on the front off and the mars light off
The 2nd character from the left is for the smoke deflectors and the last on the right is for the Mars (X removes them)
