Everyone needs a big brother, uncle, father figure, or senpai like Kafka. He doesn't steal the spotlight. He just does his best to help you excel. Only when you're out of your depth and in desperate need of rescue does he take over and end the problem.
I love how they teased his save first, then had him get to watch the whole division work together to achieve victory themselves. Only for the hidden dirty trick to show up, forcing him to play his trump card in front of 100% of the division.
Given the situation, if I was Kafka, I'd feel like crap because we know he was trying to keep his secret but imagine watching your friends nearly get killed knowing you had the "power" to easily prevent harm to any of them...I'd feel helpless because you know no one can find out the secret but pretending you can't do anything would make me feel bad
They have zero context outside of what they've been told what Kaiju no.8 is. They didn't eliminate him off the bat out of consideration for him. You have to think rationally and not emotionally because we've seen Kafka's POV.
@@Timmycoo Right i get it however even in the coming episodes the fact that he prevented the ENTIRE division from being wiped out is seemingly not considered by anyone. Everyone was ready to turn him into the next weapon, which is why saying he saved them as a way to infiltrate the force doesn't make sense. Rationally the most logical explanation is he's a human who can turn into a Kaiju and is on your side...which can also be backed up by multiple officers who are human! If anything the people in charge are the ones not being rational. They didn't even consider him as a possible asset outside of the general and i dont even know if he only considered it after Kikoro asked him.
I think that’s the point-they’re not being rational. A human turning into a Kaiju, (or for all they know, he’s a Kaiju disguised as a human) is completely unheard of, and they’re terrified. Most people aren’t logical when they’re afraid.
@@MaryBaker-ev6cu And remember previously, they were told that Kaiju No. 8 apparently "attacked" some of Hoshina's squad. (When he saved the members that No. 9 shot at) so they're getting a bunch of misinformation. I wouldn't say afraid, I would say "conflicted". You can tell Hoshina when he said he liked him too much. But then his face became upset. And even Mina, calling him by his name at first, only to change it right away.
@@Timmycoo which again shows that saving the division isn't really being treated as it should. The misinformation becomes less of a factor when im looking with my own eyes and seeing without a shadow of a doubt I was about to die along with everyone else.
literally tho reading the manga after watching season one felt like "oh god i did not think this would happen" "NO WHY IS THIS HAPPENING" "my babies dont deserve this" i had to erase everything i thought i knew about life 😢my brain chemistry altered and i experienced the red wedding all over again
KAFKA I WILL GO TO BAT FOR YOU

Ngl irl that kind of line of thinking is not ideal... But we're watching an anime so it's okie! Goo Kafka!
Let's do it 😤
RE:ZERO SEASON 3??
That bomb was way up but still manage to destroy the walls. If it weren't for Kafka, they're all toast.
Ya I love the pan out to show he protected them from the blast. Don't know how much their shields would have done.

ayo she finally saw THE episode🎉
ITS COMING,,,
I dropped my coffee 😔
It bugs me that people are so concerned with other things. The defense force would've lost an ENTIRE division if Kafka didn't act.
