I'm hear today to honor those who lost their lives while I watched Psa 182 fly right over my head for 8 seconds after the collision. Never forget (1978) Monday morning , 9:02 am, 46 years ago today. Bless you.

I flew on PSA as an uncombined minor with my sister when I was little. One of the flight attendants caught a cricket for me and gave it to me in a cup.
I remember the airport was totally over run with crickets. They were everywhere.

Im pretty sure this is the accident that when the aircrash investigaters interviewed other crews, they discovered that most crews were putting the seats lower, then recommended point for comfort and focusing on thier sections and that its was pretty standard practice. These points would make the c-sna completely out of sight

    I thinque hes confuséd.
Wasn't TCAS a resulté of thé Othér Cerritos incident
    (Aeroméxice Flight 498)
TCAS wasn't a thing till 1981 (FAA Mandated), the incident in this video (PSA 182) occurred in 1978 😮😮😮

There is no possible way to imagine what the people on that flight went through.

My grandmother was supposed to be on that flight with her new husband but things happened and she ended up not boarding. Her new husband however still needed to take that flight. RIP Farrell Kimball

The suggestive legacy of THE LIGHTS OF ZETAR, this original series Star Trek Episode from the 1960s? In a sort of way, that is, but not exactly!

But if you fly from Sacramento to San Diego, you pass LA.

The flight originated in Sacramento, made a stop in Los Angeles and then flew on to San Diego.

Actually, it was Sacramento > Ontario Airport > Sand D. I know this because my sister lived in LA, and we went to see Beach Boys or the Blues bros' I forgot which, at Universal amphitheater Saturday night. She tried getting me to stay Sunday and leave Monday morning because she had wanted to see 'Cher' at Hollywood bowl Sunday. I'm 18 y / o , what do I care about ' Cher ' in 1978 ? My sister tentatively booked me to leave Ontario at 8 am on Psa 182. It crashed at 9:02 ! Thanks Cher !
