I just bought a 2011, 1 month ago, I have had it on the road 2 times now. with the cruise set at 70 MPH I got 28 mile to the gallon...this is a fantastic van!
The previous gen was the best one. Especially the ones after 2007. I had an 08 That was fully loaded with the two DVD screens and the 5 glass roofs. It was awesome
This van looks fantastic!!! Well I wouldn't say the Odyssey and Sienna age very well. Both vehicles have significant issues. I just think Nissan should change the rear a little bit, but overall it's a great van!
hey--its the "sporty" minivan out there. the suspension and height off the ground of an SUV, comfortability of a minivan, the sporty look and speed of a sports car all in one pack of a minivan
I love the styling of this van, especially in the higher end trims, the front end looks very bad ass when equipped with the HID projector headlights! The perfect example of the Nissan quest would be the one they tested in the video...I wished they offered AWD, it wouldn't be that hard since it already uses the same engine and transmission from the Murano....
I had my doubts about the Nissan Quest when my family first got the van (2016); however, I have to say that after a few days, those doubts were put to rest. The "quirky" design grew on me and now I see a strikingly elegant van where I once saw a cartoonish one. Really, this thing looks wayyyyy better in person than in pictures/video. Sure, it's not as good looking as the Honda Odyssey, but it has a lower price point and the features that come with it are just right. I for one am happy also that my parents opted for a Japanese built van. It also sounds great when you start it up!
Sad this thing is no longer a thing anymore. Haters can hate but lovers will love, the quest has always been my favorite van, sad this model year didn't carry over the automatic transmission and VQ (if I'm correct), but it looks much better than the Sienna or the Odyssey for the same model year.
@logume1881 It DOES. What I have is the original Nissan Elgrand. In VIP trim. It has 305hp though~ And It's also much quicker and handles better than the american one.
Honestly, What Is It With Honda & Nissan & Their High Beltliness From The Driverss Door To The Slidingg Doors! That Piecee Of Longg Metal Sheet Isn't All That Lovebable!
@vmaxx55 First of all a van isn't supposed to be fast. And as you see the 1/4 is quite wrongs actually . Cause mormally if you do the 1/4 in 16sec and finishes at 91mph they didn't count something right. This van is a high 15sec
It did poorly in the partial offset category. It was designed before they pulled that test out of their arses. Most vehicles designed b4 that test failed in that area. IIHS is for the insurance companies to save money and money alone.
True, but in MotorWeek's defense, they didn't have this information handy when this review came out. IIHS's new-ish small offset crash tests made quite a splash in the news when they got published, and they obliterated the reputation of some of the car models that did poorly with it. The Nissan Quest's reputation seems to be the model that suffered the most from that series of new tests (even though it wasn't the only car that failed them), probably because it's primarily viewed as a kid hauler by consumers, and therefore safety should be paramount for that demographic.
The 04-10 was way safer. They really screwed this generation up safety wise, pretty much failed in the crash tests..where the last generation aced them....
This van is slow and ugly and the engine sounds like trash, and the crash test rating is HORRIBLE. Only the interior is the good thing about this piece of shit van
I saw one going nice with 389k miles. No joke. These things ride amazing

how its running now?
🤣@@americantrucking6843
Not sure if you'll ever see this but if you do and are willing to answer, how was/is your ownership experience?
We currently have 183,000 miles on our 2011 and it is still going strong!
The previous gen was the best one. Especially the ones after 2007. I had an 08 That was fully loaded with the two DVD screens and the 5 glass roofs. It was awesome
I love the Quest! It's unique, it's bold, it's different, it's perfect for me.
This van looks fantastic!!! Well I wouldn't say the Odyssey and Sienna age very well. Both vehicles have significant issues. I just think Nissan should change the rear a little bit, but overall it's a great van!

People who hate the quest. Shame on you! Quest is #1
Christopher Hernandez they dead now
NISSAN QUEST GANG
I was considering this gen quest in 2021 but seeing these CVT transmission failures scares me
I’m here to debunk the bullshit, it’s better in the V6
The quest is one of the Nissans that is exempt from the cvt issues, especially if you get a pre 2013 model
We like our ‘11 Quest so much that we bought another one, this one a ‘17 model. The ‘11 has 231k on it now!

this car is the boxiest minivan ive seen in 15 years
The JDM equivalent looks better the style should've been carried over. Other than that it's the best van out there. IMO

91 MPH on a 16.5? That thing must pull like a mother on the top end past 45 or so.
Nick Bublitz yea the cvt is slow from 0-40 but quick from 40-100
I had no idea it had two fully operated sunroofs
If I had to buy a mini-van, it would be this one.
GREAT CAR.
I hate both front and rear ends; the Nissan Elgrand (which is the same van but for Japan) looks a lot better!
How could they leave the market?
i think the back recalls the toyota land cruiser
No its the toyota sienna
I don't like the elgrand but I'm from America so I'm jot used to seeing it. This quest is still great.
Nice video
its like the ford flex but minivan style
andrewerdna100 not even

Other test has this van below 8 seconds 0-60. I doubt the engine is more powerful. Its probably how they rate the hp in different countries.
Now at 220,000 miles.
I would put some rims on it LOL
Honestly, What Is It With Honda & Nissan & Their High Beltliness From The Driverss Door To The Slidingg Doors! That Piecee Of Longg Metal Sheet Isn't All That Lovebable!
This van in black would me my Quest, if I were in the market.
how to repair small pice of lower fender on right door.
Not bad, the side skirting could be better.

Seth.N the take off is slow but it usually does 7.9-8.1 0-60 but traps 90 atleast. once it gets going it pulls harder than most minivans from 40-90
For those of you saying this is #1 well you're wrong its bad safety ratings and rated as poor and safety comes first
I don't like the seats in this minivan. They're overbolstered. Otherwise, it's very compliant.
unfairlady zinc
the chassis is zinc | correct
chinchilla in the road 2023 fable try that
My 2012 is amazing and the HP blows cars out of my way
ELGRAND
They neglected to mention the absolutely abysmal crash test ratings.

Very beautiful and nice this Nissan quest
IIHS had to cut out the crash test dummy with a chainsaw when they tested this car
The chances of that kind of damage that the partial offset crash test does it extremely rare. Don’t hit a telephone pole drunk.
the back looks hideous
The 04-10 was way safer. They really screwed this generation up safety wise, pretty much failed in the crash tests..where the last generation aced them....
You’d think they would make it safer. I even prefer the looks of the 04-10.
It is designed on the D-platform. Very safe except for the rare partial offset run it into a pole crash.
this car is look Alike Toyota Sienna.
Pure garbage, garbage cvt transmission
On some Nissans yes, this one no. They are stronger built CVT’s. I own two of them.
Lol
This van is slow and ugly and the engine sounds like trash, and the crash test rating is HORRIBLE. Only the interior is the good thing about this piece of shit van
You’re acting like the Chrysler isn’t garbage 😂😂
@ Oh honey it isn’t. That’s why nobody bought this Nissan because it’s so worthless and slow and unsafe. And 4 years later I still think that, TUH!
This minivan is trash
Based on?
im not liking this whole sporty minivan idea. makes no sense really.
O man this is just ugly.....
could this car be any uglier?
