Please don't advocate for bringing back th poison. Tbh having the same exact th weapon with poison explosion for the LAST 3 th levels was getting so stale. I do feel like the th defense is quite a bit weaker this time around, but just readding poison explosion mechanics is not the move imo. I think they need more spell towers and overall stronger defences. Th poison from th16 is legit the only thing that consistently fucks over whole attacks, it is crazy how influential the th poison is. If they want each th level to be its own thing, they must find a new ways to balance defence other than slapping super strong poison everywhere. Spell towers are probably the only skill expressive defence, especially with more new spells, and yet they abandoned those at th15. Townhall merging with eagle and having 12 tiles radius is laughable. Were they even playtesting their releases, or its the same story as root riders and druids?
There are few ways to make a giga bomb effective 1. Add poison effect after it blasts 2. It should only be triggered when 50-80 troops capacity is there in radar of that 3. Hide the giga bomb as similar to other traps Big Fan from India❤ 🎉🎉🎉
What if you could merge the giga bomb and tornado trap? We would save a little space and also be able to get value out of the bomb since the tornado trap would pull in troops and guarantee value? 🤔
I think clash of clans content creators like you, it's your duty to ask coc management about bringing back the eagle artillery or at least let them know that majority of players are not happy with this removal of eagle, TH blast removal, after poison effect removal and the stupid introduction of visible giga bomb. At least they should have left the after poison effect of townhall blast. My suggestion ( hear me out, I promise it's gonna sound cool): Tell supercell to come up with a Hero Hall update which will give the hero hall a defensive role of Eagle artillery. As eagle and Hero hall occupy the same surface area so it will be very easy to implement without changing anything.
I like that idea! Will definitely mention it in a video but I don’t know how much supercell is paying attention to anything. I don’t think most of them play the game more than a casual player and don’t actually care
Totally agree with the minion prince, he certainly isn’t a useless hero but really difficult to choose which hero to drop to make room for him they are so so good
Giga bomb and TH weapon do deserve some kind of buff to be more viable. I do like the idea of merging giga bomb with any "big" defense such as TH, firespitter, merged def. That would give an element of surprise and a new mechanic for the trap. As far as TH weapon, I think the mechanic is fine, it just might need more range and maybe an extra 1-2 targets. But once again, we need to wait and see how th17 feels when all the defenses have been upgraded to that level. I also think we'll be getting one more troop this year (like last year) so I guess we'll see what happens to the balance then.
I was thinking about what eric said with the giga bomb. It makes sense since you can try and trap anything. How would you let the attacker know is tbd, but at least this way its more effective when the building gets destroyed and not when a few troops pass by it. What would stop people from putting in on the th, maybe by reducing the effectiveness or by not letting people. In the end its an option
For some reason my TH buged I merged the eagle and TH but it's not firing 1 shell at the start of the attack + 1 shell for every 75 house space and the blast, poison , and beams are gone
I support the idea of having the new trap be more useful, the poison from the previous th used to hit air troops too, this new trap doesn’t hit air troops, though letting it be added to diff buildings is far fetched. Believe we should be given 2 mini freeze spells for defence instead of the poison bomb earlier
It should pull people in for a few seconds before going off. The happened naturally as troops converged on the TH last time, so it’s not too different, and will massively increase the impact of the bomb. Also makes it a pseudo second tornado trap, which would be wicked.
If there was a way to use the giga bomb to push troops in to the tornado trap, so they're stuck while still taking fire.. I'm not good enough at base building to know how viable that could be
all they have to do is buff the bomb more and then give it the same knockback that air sweepers have but it would affect all troops air or ground near.
nah giga bomb doesn't need to attach to other bulidings it just needs the same radius and poison that it use to have I can't think of any push that I use that dies to just the explosion damage of the bomb it's always the slow that gets me if I don't use the warden ability.
Cant the giga bomb also just proc on the blimp itself? i thought siege machines were like 25-30 housing space in the calculation so sometimes the giga bomb will just explode on the eternal tomed blimp and not hit the troops at all which i think kinda sucks
Defense feels weaker for sure. The th bomb trap should definitely be invisible maybe have like a 2 second animation to counter play. Rip eagle artillery. At least I have minis to visit it sometime.
Why people complain idk supercell still sees the stats and i can assure only 30 players feels th 17 is weak cause when you think from a irregular player perspective the loss is more disappointing over time. And removing th position makes things more versatile rather than th centric gameplay where jo matter what cones th is the strongest defense and the warden is the only defender against it now you can even think of removing warden from army previous he was the MVP or the napalm blimp
The idea of adding giant bomb to any possible building just makes the game more luck based, u would make a plan to let say make certain troops enter through one spot and boomb there is giant bomb. At that point it would just be clash of traps, bad suggestion, th17 is hard enough in hard mode and everyone who wants to be competitive be happy with that
th17 is definitely less fun to watch from an esports perspective as the stakes are very low. townhall is good on paper but very weak and the eagle is also gone.
the only advantage thrower has is the long reach that's longer than queen. some defence that were separated by empty compartment can now be taken down by just 2 thrower. it wont hurt to bring 2 thrower into your army as now you can avoid those x=bow and scattershot that were out of your army's reach chipping off your main troops. thrower can take them down, but its not meant to be sued as main army like how valkyrie goes with root rider.
Eric.. you're making the common and classic mistake of misjudging the new th updates defenses before anyone has them maxed and before base builders can adapt. 🤦♂️
We will see how things adapt over time. But you are right, the bases as a whole at higher level might be plenty strong to create a new challenge but is doesn’t change the fact that the way we approach bases that have new gigs bomb and no eagle will be fundamentally different that previous TH levels

Without the eagle which does ton of damage to witch witch became even stronger as now only worry is to protect healers from th poison effect.

That is correct, I’ve seen many people just sail a blimp over the top of it with eternal tome to trigger it then continue on to clone yeti bomb the TH
