So that's not surprising at all, and takes nothing away from your engagement flight. And it's a privilege to be able to see you enjoy enjoy all of these moments as a family. The shots of Hensley on the ground looking up at you in the balloon as you look down on your home were enough to make this cynical old lady tear up.

We had balloonist come to our town and it was amazing to see the balloons go from flat to flying . The colors in the sky . The sound of the filling it up knowing the outcome .

Why we RV? We (my wife and I) both work full time at our local/regional hospital. She’s an RN (over 30 years) and I about 15 years, currently in shipping and receiving. We both work hard; mine more physical, hers more mental and stressful as a Director. So we aren’t full time RV-ers but we RV all we can to release, revive, relax, restore, and explore this wonderful nation we are blessed to be part of. Ours is a bunkhouse in order to take our grandkids occasional.

My oldest grandson lives less than 1/2 mile from balloon site. He recently shared a facetime call showing several balloons lifting off. All I could/can say is, "WOW!"

That was ahmazing!! Wow! I want to share that my father took us kids rv ing almost every summer when I was growing up so I was so blessed to have been to every state. I’m 60 now and my best memories to this day are still from traveling our beautiful country with my family. You all are doing the BEST thing for your family. Your children are going to have lifetime memories of their childhood. I cannot wait for my husband and I to get a motorhome by the end of the yr. I live for new adventures so being in one spot for me can get so boring lol although I do love S Florida where I live. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We were able to attend this year and so happy we had the chance for such an amazing experience. Up at 4:00 A.M. and over to the balloon field to share in the fun. Staying in the RV on the landing field was the best. We had a free shuttle that picked us up close to our RV and took us back and forth to the balloon field. Awesome videos and pictures but the best way is to experience the Balloon Fiesta, put it on your epic bucket list.

Wow was just in Albuquerque last month to see my brother that I haven’t seen in more than 30 years. Best trip ever. Even saw Hot Air Balloons on the way to airport at 6am. So beautiful. I tear up with every video. We have been full timing for 3 years, but we aren’t traveling like you. My husband is on his last year of his 4 year lineman apprenticeship. Although we do move around to new places every few months, it’s only CA. There’s a huge world out there I am dying to see. full timing has made our tie even stronger we have seen things we never thought we would there have been highs and lows injuries and healing and of course grandkids lol safe travels
The Balloon fest has that Oshkosh Air Adventure flair. They are spectacular to watch. Another channel I watch regularly "Tucker Gott". He is a young adult about 26 who is a Professional Paramotor Glider Pilot. His mother is a certified Balloon Pilot. He usually flies his PPG about 1.5 hours before sunset because the thermals are not as rough. You see him up in the air flying around Balloon's every once in a while. He documents all his flights and you get a close upfront exposure to Balloon flights. The best way to experience it is the way that you all have done it on this episode. Well your experience that day was better than "Lawn Chair, Larry".
If you love this (and you seem to) you will definitely love waking up in your cave hotel in Cappadocia and seeing the balloons. Not to mention having a flight there. Less Junk More Journey - going global - oh yeah!

So inspiring! We just bought our truck. Hitch installed today. 5th Wheel Montana High Country should be here in a few weeks. The house is under contract, waiting on inspection and assessment. We are so close... Looks like we'll be on the road before Christmas if it all comes together. The adrenaline is flowing...

We travel in our Dutch Star and went to the fiesta in 2017 with the FMCA which was a great group to travel with, if you want to go with them you have to start checking with them in January because they sell out their allotment quickly. We are thinking of going again next year because it is so amazing.
Hopefully Humpty-Dumpty didn't have a great fall. Looks like fun guys. Funny thing is the 3 RV channels that I watch religiously were all together at the balloon fest. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hug for me.
Watching Marissa be overcome by this experience reminded me of standing on a bridge over the Grand Canal in Venice with tears streaming down my face. Overwhelming, unreal, bucket-list moment. Such an amazing feeling! SO cool you guys got this chance to experience this. Just going to the Fiesta is a bucket-list item...but going UP? Unreal!

Thanks for posting this video. We have RV'd in Santa Fe many time but have never seen the Festival. It's great to see the Festival from the RV perspective. Have always wondered what it looked like during the event.
We have a balloon race in St. Louis at the end of September each year. They have a balloon glow, in Forest Park, on Friday evening and the race on Saturday. Your kids would love the St. Louis attractions: Zoo (Free); Science Center (Free); Art Museum (Free); History Museum (Free); Butterfly House; Magic House; Grant’s Farm (Tram Drive-through Zoo); The City Museum (One of a kind interactive, ten-story, experience. Part art, part museum, park jungle gym, cave, 10-story slide. Kids love it.)

wow - I've seen the balloon festival from afar but have never been fortunate to ride up in one. I've been in one at a fair but it was tethered to only go up 100 feet - that was thrilling to me but I don't think that trip on my bucket list will ever be checked off. wow - I've seen the balloon festival from afar but have never been fortunate to ride up in one. I've been in one at a fair but it was tethered to only go up 100 feet - that was thrilling to me but I don't think that trip on my bucket list will ever be checked off. Ohio has some small balloon festivals - nothing compares to Albuquerque!!!! Thank you so much for including us in your Balloon Journey! ♥ ♥ ♥
