Kyle Shanahan is a clever headcase who brain locks when it's all on the line, likely because he's a control freak who insists on being the soul author of his self destruction.
Yup. I'll only add a few things. 1) This describes _most_ NFL play-callers. When stressed, _EVERYONE'S_ mind goes into fight or flight mode. If one can't confront the source of their stress directly, our reactions turn our minds inwards & looks for Familiar Things. Only Familiar Things can calm a mind in turmoil. (Comfort Food anyone)? 2) The entire Mike Shanahan Tree seems to contain coaches who All Would Benefit From writing down their late-game plans & Plan Bs in advance but none of 'em do it. I think Mike instilled int them all a fear of doing so likely because once his scribblings got stolen & put into another team's hands or something & he's been paranoid about it ever since. 3) Kyle has his Own Unique Twist on all of this. It doesn't matter if he's winning or losing, 6 minutes into the 2nd half of Every Game he suddenly switches to a Completely New Play-set. & like an automaton, he can't mentally switch out of it, back or forwards. Somehow, he locks himself in & acts as if he has No Choice but to stick to this new set. You know what's funny? I didn't watch the NFL from about '14 until '22. I didn't know he was the OC on the Falcons when suddenly & mysteriously he Changed The Play-Calls early in the 3rd quarter. It's like a sickness he suffers from or something weirder. It doesn't mean he throws away games, it just means that if the plays fail & _can_ lose him the game, he'll stick to them even if it means losing the game. & he's _STILL better_ than Sean McDermott & Mike McCarthy. ... are all NFL HCs Irish...?
He actually has his Own Twist on this. McCarthy & McDermott both are _WAY worse_ when stressed. Shanahan does the Same Thing at the Same Time in all games regardless of whether it's tight or an easy win. Watch out for this. About 5 minutes into the 2nd half of Every Game he simply switches _ALL_ the offensive play-calls. & like an automaton, for some reason he stays ,locked in to the new play-set as if hypnotized. No Matter What the game situation he _will change_ the play-set early into the 3rd quarter & Will Stick to the New Set No Matter What. You can't un-see it.

Kyle is a good coach, but in big moments, he gets in his own way and doesn't stick to what got him there
Players get him there. He's an embarrassment. His ego is NOT justified at all...

Yes please god yes!!
Please fire Kyle. I would love for him to be the head coach of my football team.
I keep telling over emotional erratic fans if he leave we will regret it niners. we're a dumpster fire before hiring him
Please, take him. He's absolutely garbage and his players are noticing

Talk Your Talk! 🗣🗣🗣
Niners winning it all next year
Kyle is a great coach. He simply hasn't found his franchise QB. Once he does, he'll win multiple Super Bowls.
This guy is Andy Reid part 2.
That's absurd. Brock Purdy will be QB1 long after Shanahan gets sent packing
It's the reffs because they never call holding on the Chiefs
Shad up
Quit crying about the refs. The whiners sukk. This guy gives you the main reasons right here. Did you even listen.😅
😢
It's Kyle, because he never runs the ball with the lead... stupid af, fake "coach"
