Great reaction. There is nothing else like this song, it is iconic as is the band. I still love Brian's guitar solos in this song and I have heard it since it first was aired in the US which is over 45 years ago. I could listen to this every day and never get tired of it. I love the ambient noises that Queen put into their music back in their early years. On this one, there is a bell for (shivers down my spine) and a sound that is supposed to be wind blowing the first time they say " any way the wind blows." Queen was so inventive with all of their music. You can do any Queen song and I would be very happy but one of their most outstanding songs instrumentally, in my opinion is White Queen the live version at Odeon, Hammersmith. Freddie and Brian totally tear it up.

Amazing fact about Queens' lead guitarist Brian May. He was actually working on getting his Ph.D in astrophysics when Queen was formed. Music meant so much to him so he put his doctorate on the back burner. After Freddie Mercury died, Queen disbanded. Even while still part of the group Brian and his father designed and built a new kind of guitar. Brian's IQ has been measured in the 160's. That's even beyond Big Bang Theory smart. So he was a real genius on top of being a musical genius. after Queen disbanded, Brian went back to working toward his doctorate. He finally got it in 2006 or 7. He's now Dr. Brian May Ph.D. He's also written about 6 books on the subject of astrophysics. He's even worked with NASA periodically.

You'd be surprised! I'm retired but work p/t in a store and a lot of the kids are in their 20's. Never heard Queen, The Who, CCR, Bob Dylan....none of them. But....that would be like me knowing Glen Miller songs as a kid. So it's all relevant, if you think about it!

Youanis - cool for getting your boys into this - it is something special (now, I'm old and had the privilege to see Queen a few times in my youth) - I so love it when younger people get to realize the amazing talent and uniqueness of the group - and one more thing: y'all wore HEADPHONES - which is super-important to hear Queen at their best -- look forward to more reactions - (BTW, I obviously liked & subscribed)

Queen live, specifically "Somebody to Love" Montreal 1981. If you want to see how iconic Bohemian Rhaposdy is watch the Green Day video of them playing it as their intermission song to warm the crowd up. Freddy sitting on his cloud enjoying his fans.

You could do the 1985 Live Aid performance. It is about 20 minutes of Queen playing several of their songs, live.

👏👏👏👏 I’m envious that you two are watching Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time!! When I first saw this video in 1975 I couldn’t take my eyes off Freddie! Mesmerizing! But couldn’t figure out what Queen was about! They are THE GREATEST live band of all time!! Their live performances are outstanding!! Now do the live version at Montreal 1981 & SOMEBODY TO LOVE from same concert! You should definitely do UNDER PRESSURE & ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST live at Wembley 1986. Are you guys too young for Wayne’s World??? Hahaha!!!

He asks them to be quiet all through the song and then sings and hums along, Moves to the music, touching, shoving, etc. Should work both ways!

Bohemian Rhapsody came off the A Night at the Opera album. The Prophet’s Song off the same album, it’s just as epic with its multi change ups, but always overshadowed by Bo Rhap. Give it a go
