For anyone who doesn't know. Being able to hold a note for 30 seconds, stay on note, at that volume, keeping it consistant (and metal) is really impressive. There are many professional singers who cant even hold a note for a 3rd of the length.
Very impressive man.
I can't even hold my breath that long without singing, lol. This settles it, Dan is actually a divine being and not human.
Yeah, it was always a debate years ago if Eric Adams (the original singer) was actually singing it or if it was looped. Myself as a huge fan, believed it was real, and now thanks to Dan others will understand it can be done also.

@@mistreatednothing-else-to-9443 agreed, but this was back in 1987 and I hadn't seen them live back then. Have seen them live many times since.

Actually doing this 100 150 times a year during 2 hours-shows is impossible. He did age too.
To me this note on the album is definitely done in one take. 🙂

What the crap just happened is right! Luis Mariutti's very impressive finger movements perfectly complemented your beautiful voice doing a variety of ranges and that unbelievable last scream that lasted an eternity. My mind is completely blown once again and I admit I don't even know what to do with it. What kind of lungs were installed in your body that are beyond the standard human equipment. Proof that you are supernatural and not a regular human. Sir, I remain in awe of this performance.

Mr. Mariutti has the most piercing eyes I’ve ever seen, and he’s a fantastic bassist! Dan held that last note for 32 seconds, I TIMED it! Absolutely amazing

Thank you mate, all the way from Australia. A year ago I was singing boring songs - You sir, inspired me to push my voice. To sing Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and even Manowar.
I now ( thank you again ) will take on any song - can't believe how confidently I sing Black Wind Fire and Steel and other great songs absolutely belting my voice ... never thought it was possible.

Manowar is my all-time favorite band- bar none. Few are the decent covers of their songs, but this one kicks ass. I DEFINITELY recommend more Manowar covers🤘
