I am 59 years old and a life long Sooner fan fortunate enough to have been raised in the great state of Oklahoma. If I know anything I know this… Oklahoma will get over this hump. We are in the conference we need to be in to be successful and we will compete. Our defense is where we need to be and our offense will get better. We knew O Line was an issue. We have best O line coach in America and great recruits. We will get there Sooner fans!! BV is a great coach and has the right character and wisdom to win championships at Oklahoma. He will get us there!!!

Really. How does our online get so bad. We have always had that the best. I remember er in 87 we had 2 all Americans. I think Riley realized that he had picked the wrong guys so he couldn't have such a offense he had with the players he inherited so he left. But them guys are all big so how can bedenbough not teach these guys to play like he has in the past. I don't understand. I hate seth got fired. I thought it should have been bedenbough and whoever it is keeps running barnes at rb1 I think he has had plenty of time to prove his body of work and it's at the bottom of the rankings in cfb and I don't think the dude can improve. He's been running into the back of our lineman since day one I don't understand why they don't give anyone at least the chance to compete. Do like in the NFL where most teams give each of there running backs usually a series at a time to keep them fresh

I totally disagree we're on the cusp unfortunately of turning into the John Blake Gary Gibbs Howard Schellenberg teams unless things radically change.

Thank you coach V for everything you do for our program and the players and the coaches. I know and have faith you will turn it around by hiring very good people. Boomer!😊

The transfer portal and NIL will negatively affect any program. I strongly feel that if they transfer- they sit out a year. This will stop the Oregon , Texass, and other heavily funded programs such as Ole Miss and Missouri to stop poaching quality players in a program. First year players out of High School should get a minimum NIL.

I was thinking they don't have to sit for a year, but have to stay at least 2 seasons before they can take the portal again.

One thing I have learned from this season is how quickly we are to turn on, not only our own that someone who came in took over a terrible program after everyone left being a first time head coach, and everyone puts the blame on him not every single coach you come across is going to Take things over and immediately go to a national championship like Bob Stoops or Nick Saban Dabo Sweeney urban Meyer do you honestly think that Oklahoma would be in trouble like this if we had retained Jeff Lebby? Absolutely not because Libby is a proven offensive coordinator. That knows how to move the football coached under great head coaches like Gus Malzon at UCF and Lane Kiffin!! Tell me what significant name did Seth Latrell learn under, and who can remember if there was ever an offensive coordinator that was a fullback in college a fullback un baffled I’ve never heard of such a thing how is a fullback supposed to teach a quarterback, anything literally his entire career he was with his back to the quarterbackblocking Venables goes out this off-season and he brings in an offensive coordinator that knows how to move the ball. This team will be extremely dangerous.

Will stein or james coley would be at the top of my list. I'm sure we'll get someone exciting in there, no matter what.

I don’t understand how people can sit there and blame Brent Venables OK I get it. He made the higher of Seth Latrell, but he also fired him. That’s not an easy thing to do especially whenever you’ve coached and played and grew up around the program and know each other like that is doing a fine job as a first time head coach now remember that guys first time head coach he was not handed the best program. Yes we had a great year last year but that was the big 12 and there is a huge difference in playing Tennessee Ole Miss, Alabama LSU, compared to Kansas, Texas Tech UCF Oklahoma State the best way I can explain it is look at how respected and sought after Kaylan DeBoer was as a head coach one of the winningest coaches in the timeframe that he’s been a coach of all time he was handed Alabama who has been a top-tier program for 15 years. Guess what guess what Bama does not look that great that just shows, how hard it is to coach in the SEC

Sad for Seth as he was promoted above his abilities then thrown under a Schooner with three broken wheels. I’m also sad for JA as he’s lost both Lebby and Seth. OU will roll along but there are casualties… Joe Jon may be next. This is why nepotism is a bad idea, if it works it’s great but if not it burns bridges
