I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.
True, I mostly just buy and hold stocks, but my portfolio has been mostly in the red for quite awhile now. Unfortunately to be able to make good gains, you’ll need to be consistent and restructure your portfolio frequently.

I agree on most points but surprised no one mentioned: suppliments. I take them as part of alternative treatment for a medical condition to STAY AWAY from doctors and being on prescription train of taking lots of drugs with terrible side effects. It's effective for me and to get enough of the certain vitamins I would need to eat a ridiculous amount of foods (plus would make me sick), and notice when I do run out how badly I feel.

Congratulations on 100k subcribers bro! You have consistently work yourself to this point, openly talked about this goal and I bet I'm not the only one very proud of you. Keep up the good work! What's your opinion about seasonal jobs that are reality for so many? Quite often many seasonal jobs can give you a possibility to work your ass off and get a lot of money with relative ease and short peeiod of time but since it's seasonal, you easily end up using all that saved money for simply living expences during the period outside of the season. And back to starting point. No money left for any vacation either. Kinda double edged sword and you easily end up to this vicious circle where all the earned money are there for just making through the beginning of the next season...
I pay EUR 550 ALL RISK including road assistance 24hr. PER YEAR. In expensive Netherlands ....bye. I pay EUR 0.00 per month for my Toyota that I bought cash as all around here normally do. Car loans are considered for xtreme losers....bye.
It is like the irony that you have to spend money to make money. You cannot merely save money. A lot of financial experts talk about it and it is not wrong, but if you don't have a good -enough job so as to earn money to save then saving money is just not doable.
Or one needs to live under the right circumstances if they don't make much money. But your right yet they don't talk about that issue because they know they might loose viewers if they do!!!
Can't save money because $100 is the only number everyone knows, everything costs $100 or more, so you can only do 3-4 things per check before it money runs out
Just wanted to dive more deeply into steps to purchasing a used car. If you do not currently know of a MASTER MECHANIC (before you shop), ask friends for a referall and give the mechanic a quick call and advise them you are shopping for a used vehicle and confirm they do PRE-PURCHASE inspections, etc. MAKE SURE you have the Master Mechanic look the vehicle over and make the vehicle purchase contingent on the Master Mechanic's OK (EVEN if it's from a dealer and EVEN if it's under warranty and EVEN if it's "CERTIFIED"...Money WELL SPENT!). If the seller will not accomodate this, tell them "take a long walk off a short pier..." I don't necessarily agree that you should only buy from a dealer, but realize if a dealer lies about anything in writing, you can make them sweat. The critical thing is having a very experienced mechanic (not your nephew with 6 months experience who is 19 years old and works in a shop).
Two of the best cars I've ever had came dirt cheap ($4,000 and $2,500) from private individuals. One of them got me from Georgia to Pennsylvania and back ( in the winter) without the first hint of a problem. I also drove a used truck from a dealership ($6,000). I still have that 29 year old truck and it still runs. The WORST cars I have ever bought came from a dealership. Just gotta give it a good test drive and look under the hood before you go forking over the cash, whoever you buy it from.
Unlucky for life...can also be who and what you surround yourself. It may be the support/not group even if it just affects your confidence and/or outlook on life. Don't get rid of them or fight with them, they are quite comfy with this...find new friends, outlets. Maybe the sour apples will learn from your having "Enough!". You do not have to say anything to them actually.
I started saving, but ended up taking from saving to compensate for bills and purchases. Right now car broke and dont have money to buy another one, hardly to fix it, if fixable 🤞
Its vommunal. Americans are mal adjusted and anti-social because we dont know how to community or live together harmoniously. I love having roommates. Just got to get a good fit and know yourself.

@@Gooontz if you live happy and with good people, congratulations, but you are an exception. Most of the people are obliged to live with disgusting people just because of economic reasons. Men in finance give a lot of useful and helpful advice but yes, as ladies we need to sift through it carefully find what works best for us :)
As women period... So vulnerable to have crazies living in your own sanctuary.
Maybe a friend you could share with? Doesn't have to be stramgers
Make amends with the kids Dad and have him move in .
@@nvmcrider8475 this is how dv cases start 🙄
Very relatable. You always keep it real in a nice way!!! 😂.
It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.
My partner’s been considering going the same route, could you share more info please on the advisor that guides you?
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Aileen Gertrude Tippy’’ for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I needed this myself, I looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Woot woot!! Congrats Austin for the 100K
You are right about the people that can least afford it spending money on stupid things. Lottery, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.
While Lottery tickets are basically a tax on stupid people, it gives them a false hope which is better than no hope at all and money well spent.
yeahhh , but those " grab it"...... bye.
kiana rachel was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from kiana rachel.
success 200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 24k in last month 2024
You trade ?? Wow that's huge, how do you make that much monthly?
rachel approaches trading in a completely unique way. I'm puzzled by her methods. She just seems to have an innate understanding of this trading world
she's mostly on Telegrams, using the user name.

@kiana745...that is it.
100k subscribers, well deserved❤️💯
Congratulations on 100K 🎊
Thank you so much 😀
Congratulations on 100k subscribers! 🎉
LOL favorite line of this episode "Get Yo Shit together"
I have to disagree with you on dealerships. When buying cars, they can be just as slimy as a private seller trying to scam you.
True and after 2 decades of no car payments/ my 26yo car that I drive was bought outright. When I have to replace that car, I will dread using a dealership. I don't want a new new car either.
Some, not all. Get recommendations from people you know
Everyone should plan their whys in the same layout you did and give it a quick look every day to be always reminded
Congratulations for 100,000 🎉 well deserved.
Why ?
Agree completely with the vices! Exactly.
Here in the USA it is very very difficult to save! They don't increase income at all! It's a big problem!
Easiest way is to get a better paying job. I had a job once for 4 years I did NOT get a raise
@@JAM2USA2018 that is somewhat true but people have to change careers and/or get into more debt by getting higher degrees just to get a "better paying job" which is only a couple dollars more.
As a Dutch tourist , some 7 years ago , I felt things I take for granted cost TWICE as much in ze lent ov ze free.... remember travel to Sweden , before EU roaming came into force , a Swedish sim card with phone balance incl. installing was less than 10 EUR. There is structurally LESS competition in Merrycuh than popular belief , so trapped in delusion...
Congratulations on 100K, Austin! 💪
Thank you! And thanks for sticking around and commenting on all the videos!!!!!!! No pressure to keep watching and commenting, but when I do see your consistent comments each post I do think I must do something right to have someone come back every time!
Bad luck....it's not always the person's fault. My husband died at 30 and he was unlucky, and so was I!
Definitely not always!
Question, how much Life Insurance did your husband have? During the 1990's, when I was age 30 and, my salary was $48,000, my Life Insurance policies (both personal and from my employer) total about $300,000.
You were lucky. When my husband got cancer he was just let go of his job. It was a very difficult time@@transitengineer
So sorry.
Are you getting Social Security survivor benefit?
Wow, I agree with your 10-top reasons 100 percent. Also, the "why", in my life was to save and invest for my future retirement which, I started at age 30, day one on my second job after college. Now in my early 60's, I retired last year ... Life is sweet (smile ... smile).
Thank you for this very thorough and common sense video.
I have listened to other videos like this. But you are the first person that I ever heard that said you can save more if you “increase “your income. Other videos don’t seem to say that like . 😮
. I never understood that. So I think you are right on !!!!!
Congratulations on 100k!🎉
You have a lovely plant collection happening now…looks great…
Thanks! I need to look at an order video to see their growth!
I liked the part where the guy after buying a $ 5000 car says “ El Agustin would be proud.. “ 😊😂❤

Congratulations on 100000 subscribers. I know how hard you have worked to get here. I love what you are doing. I think your videos are just the right length as I often feel put off if a video is longer than 13 minutes xx
Congrats on 100K!!

My mom and I have been learning the frugal lifestyle for the past 3 years or so and getting better! Your videos are like common knowledge to us. But it's so wonderful to see we aren't the only ones doing this and making it work. We watched so many of your videos to stay inspired and continue to do so! I paid off my car in the beginning of January .. thank god. I have extra money now to put towards savings and build a nest egg. Those car payments were such a pain 😖
My brother is chronically unlucky. My parents keep saying things just happen to him. I think his choices have made a lot of problems for him. Creating a situation where he looks chronically unlucky.
It takes some luck to do well... WTF even if people do everything right they need luck to keep doing ok....
Great episode! I really like your take on luck. We all feel unlucky sometimes, but this puts the whole thing into perspective. Thanks!
I agree with you I'm on low income and I do better than people that have a job with my savings people don't know how to live within there means

Congratulations! on 100k subscribers. Big fan from Japan. ありがとう。(Arigtaou = Thank you)
Congratulations on 100k subcribers bro!
& thank you Austin for making very thoughtful, useful videos. From a loyal listener and subscriber.
This video is very solid ❤ ...... Thanks Austin
Love your pot plants good job
Congrats on 100k! Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Thanks!
The average monthly payment of a new car is over $1,000 per month not to mention several hundreds on insurance.
I pay EUR 550 ALL RISK including road assistance 24hr. PER YEAR. In expensive Netherlands ....bye. I pay EUR 0.00 per month for my Toyota that I bought cash as all around here normally do. Car loans are considered for xtreme losers....bye.
Congratulations on the 100k subscribers
CONGRATULATIONS!!! 1OOOOO SUBSCRIBERS!!!
You have the mindset that most people don't...... Keep thinking that way....
Um...I've never been benefited financially by having another person living with me.
Sounds like you are or were with was leeching off you
It is like the irony that you have to spend money to make money.
This is a good video for toddlers. Love it!😍
Thank you 🤗
Most adults have a toddler understanding of finances
Can't save money because $100 is the only number everyone knows, everything costs $100 or more, so you can only do 3-4 things per check before it money runs out
Maybe if ypu lived in Bermuda
Yep and people like Austin want to blame the individuals not the income being too low for their expenses which they can't control.
Congrats on the 100k subscribers from Australia 😊
Hey chocoderos, listen up, the man is talking big sense. Massive respect !
Yay- 100,000 subscribers!!!🎊🎊🎉🎈🎈
Awesome video!
Bought a Toyota Camry 76000 miles even though older 2007 for 6000 from a dealer❤❤
This is GOLD 🎉
Unlucky for life...can also be who and what you surround yourself. It may be the support/not group even if it just affects your confidence and/or outlook on life. Don't get rid of them or fight with them, they are quite comfy with this...find new friends, outlets. Maybe the sour apples will learn from your having "Enough!". You do not have to say anything to them actually.
I started saving, but ended up taking from saving to compensate for bills and purchases. Right now car broke and dont have money to buy another one, hardly to fix it, if fixable 🤞
Thanks for sharing.
Subscribed. Thanks. 👍
Could you make a list of the brand names?
Year Mera to bahut bura effect hua he past 1 yr I don't have any earning source.
Right now as a batchelor its so difficult to survive
I received a notification on my bank website which said I was eligible for up to £900 per month on a car lease!!!! 😮
lol, they're giving out loans like candy at the parade!
@@ElAgustin 🤣 yeah
...on another car LEASH.....bye.
I set savings goals every year, but I always seem to fall short.
It could be a few things. Maybe you're not tracking your spending closely enough. Until you know where your money is going, it's hard to cut back.
You can buy a small suv..
Living with other people is just disgusting, its a consequence of poorness.
Its vommunal. Americans are mal adjusted and anti-social because we dont know how to community or live together harmoniously.
I love having roommates. Just got to get a good fit and know yourself.
What an ignorant look on life
I house hack by choice and have had good tenants 90% of the time. Just make sure the tenant/roommate interviews go over your biggest pain points or pet peeves. House hacking is a great way to lower your expenses, get extra income, and socialize with others.
I think your comment is disgusting, btw
@@Gooontz if you live happy and with good people, congratulations, but you are an exception.
Most of the people are obliged to live with disgusting people just because of economic reasons. That is just horrible.
My case, i lived with people just to save money until i couldn't handle it anymore, then i bought a house.
Now people say that I'm silly because I don't rent 3 free rooms that I have in my house (very big house). But that money doesn't worth the uncomfortablility, okay live without working the whole life by handling random absurd people at home, it's a very big risk
@@timmy-dubs either you are lucky or you are very clever choosing people. Not my case when i was obliged to share but I didn't have too much options since the coming person was me,
There is something true, if you were the owner of the house and you were having a fix income enough to live according to your country you wouldn't rent your rooms so sharing is again a consequence of not having enough money to live thus...
A very wise young man 💋
really enjoy your videos 😀
Ok just signed up for Mint - from ATT - 🤞
Another excellent video
Your friend that worked at a gas station is right on the money. zI worked at a gas station and witnessed this first hand. People nickle and dime themselves into the poor house at gas stations. If you want to.save money. don't buy anything at a gas station except gas.
I filled up at the gas station a few days ago. I picked up a tin of peppermint Altoids at the counter. They now want 4.75 for peppermints?? No thank you!
well but only buying gas means no more gas station.... They need people buying other items: food, drinks, other snacks, tobacco.... Nope only buying gas means the stations will be more likely to close.
What an accomplishment! All your dedication, consistency, and passion took you there to the big 100,000-wow! I hope you share the unboxing of your play button plaque.
I **USED** to spend $720 a month on coffee and cigarettes.
