There's a part of the choreo where they "cut" their wrists & "drink", so probably is about drinking blood but in a metaphorical way. That would explain why the setting of the video is that shade of red too & why they talk about the color (deep saturation too) or the fragrance. You can see that part after they sing "We know we got the juice ya". 2:42 in this video reaction, 1:19 in the original Juice video.
SHINee were the group to introduce extremely complex, synchronized choreos to Kpop, therefore, in the beginning, they were very synchronized. Taemin, being the best and main dancer, was once asked why he didn't stand out more among his brothers with his dancing. Taemin's response was that when with his group, he needed to blend in seamlessly. His time to shine was in his solo career. However, now with this 15th anniversary comeback and starting this second part of their career together, I've noticed that during their June concert, Taemin is starting to really incorporate a more intense version of his popping/street dancing background into his SHINee performances. Both Key and Minho are also less concerned about such strict parameters and are much looser and more comfortable with their dancing as well. I think at this point, they are just happy to be back together. They have all finished their military duties (Taemin being the last and just returning in May) and will never be separated again so that's a relief for them, and the songs in this album make it clear they are going to do what they want, as well as reminiscing about their history, Jonghyun, and loving on SHAWOLs. Their diverse music and vocals is really what makes SHINee stand out and is their identity distinct from everyday Kpop. Here is a list of songs/performances which will illustrate that diversity: "Replay" MV, 2008: (original debut song): th-cam.com/video/VTASffPQGhY/w-d-xo.html (this is cited as the best debut song of any Kpop group and it's almost a requirement for each new group to cover it.) "Evil" Live, 2014: th-cam.com/video/AQ0L6lY2riM/w-d-xo.html (song debuted in 2013; this is a very DRAMATIC live) "Ring, Ding, Dong"/"Lucifer" live performance, 2016: th-cam.com/video/mtFK7FxKdLs/w-d-xo.html (the MVs for these debuted in 2009 and 2010 respectively; RDD is banned in SK during college exams season due to it being addictive; "Lucifer" started the dance practice trend in Kpop when SHINee put up their DP) "Excuse Me Miss" live performance, 2015: th-cam.com/video/jSORaqTQykk/w-d-xo.html (this song debuted in 2013; maybe the most cited live performance next to "Sherlock"; absolutely a favorite and ICONIC) "Sleepless Night" live performance @ small promo fan meeting: th-cam.com/video/h3i_yVMsAiY/w-d-xo.html (A beautiful ballad) "Juliette" MV, 2009: th-cam.com/video/XwkP3qfwqs8/w-d-xo.html (first song lyrics written by Jonghyun; a fan favorite) "Sherlock" live performance, 2015: th-cam.com/video/M4pINahBoRY/w-d-xo.html (This song debuted in 2012; was the first-ever hybrid song in Kpop. SHINee smashed together two of their independent songs, "Clue" and "Note" and we got this still favorite hit; most expensive choreo in SM history. Ironically, this type of hybridization would be done again by SuperM, of which Taemin is the central figure, as he was the first to be asked by Lee Soo Man to join this new super group. Their song is called "One" which joined together "Monster" & "Infinity". Not sure it gained the iconic status of "Sherlock", but it's a good song. "Woof, "Woof" live performance, 2015: th-cam.com/video/o_SZm2C5Fvw/w-d-xo.html (musical theater at its best) "Everybody" live performance, 2015: th-cam.com/video/P_VJ_flgEVo/w-d-xo.html (song debuted in2013; introduced Dubstep to Kpop; at that time it became the most difficult choreo in Kpop; no one covered it until 2020 with ONF on Road to Kingdom) "View" MV, 2015: th-cam.com/video/M4pINahBoRY/w-d-xo.html (introduced Deep/Tropical House to Kpop; lyrics written by Jonghyun; still a hit today) "Don't Call Me" Performance video, 2021: th-cam.com/video/N3103Su_-cM/w-d-xo.html (First time SHINee used a predominantly Hip-Hop song as a title track, although they had done Hip-Hop before. However, this song also has elements of R&B and musical theater thrown in. SHINee worked on the composition of this song A LOT, just like they did with "Hard". "Atlantis", live performance, 2021: th-cam.com/video/pe1yuQteO1g/w-d-xo.html (Quintessential SHINee!) As if that's not enough, here's a bonus treat where SHINee is singing an acoustic melody of some of their earliest songs: th-cam.com/video/h3i_yVMsAiY/w-d-xo.html I really hope you will do an album reaction for "Hard" as it's quite an eclectic mix. Have fun!
In SHINee's "Juice" performance video, I think the "sun" is supposed to remind you of a giant orange. The song is called "Juice," so I think the orange sphere might be designed to represent the theme of the song. We also see it turn into a red sphere and a silver crystal-like ball. LOL. I think the "sun" is changing colors and becoming more powerful to go along with how the song is getting more fierce. (And as you may have noticed, in the beginning they showed an eclipse, which could potentially be connected to SM's storyline, but I'm not really convinced yet.) I interpret the lyrics of the song as a big flex about how they are at the top of the game and they have that special "juice" that makes everyone want them and fall in love with them, etc. ("Juice" is a western slang term that, in this case, I think means "the it factor," i.e. the thing that makes you attracted to me, etc.) Fun fact: The phrase, "Incoming!!!", the laughing, and the phrase "Let's get it" in the background, as well as the phrase "Let's change the scenery, shall we" in the middle of the song, are the signature style and voice of Dem Jointz, who is one of the producers of this track, along with Kenzie. All the backup dancers fell down at the end because the only ones who could "survive" by the end of that performance were the SHINee members. The three still standing were Key, Minho and Taemin. As you are starting to discover, SHINee are some of the best dancers in the whole industry. They started the synchronized dance trend. And they made the industry realize that if anyone else wanted to compete they needed to up their game. Just think, when Taemin (the one with the blond highlights) joined SM as a trainee at 11, he didn't even have any dance training -- up until then, all his skills were self-taught by watching dancers on TV shows -- and by the time he debuted less than 3 years later in 2008, he was already showing everyone that his skill level was on par with, or even surpassed, many professional dancers who had been dancing for years. That is why Taemin is now considered one of the top two BEST dancers in all of Kpop. It's why he is most idols idol and a legend even among legends. And the fact that the other SHINee members have no problem keeping up with Taemin, just shows why SHINee are one of the top groups. That's just SHINee's natural talent. Plus, Key (the one with the black hair) actually was chosen to become an SM trainee because of his skills as a dancer. He is the SHINee member who is fastest at memorizing choreography. He has a photographic memory, so he only needs to see a dance once and he can replicate it on the spot almost better than the original. He literally knows everyone's choreography in the Kpop industry. He can fill in as a member of almost any group because he knows their song and choreography just as well, or better, than the actual members. And although, Minho (the one with the goggles) is the main rapper of the group, in fan meetings and concerts when he has a solo stage, he often does dance covers or dance performances because he is also a really good dancer. However, what sets SHINee apart even more as a group, is they also are recognized as some of the best vocalists in the industry. SHINee are referred to as CDINee or CD-eaters, because they sound even better live then their album versions. Even as rookies, SHINee's main vocalists -- Onew and Jonghyun -- were mentors and vocal coaches to a lot of other singers and trainees, including several members of EXO. (EXO may be considered "Vocal Kings," but SHINee are the original Vocal Kings. Which just goes to show you why they are both SM groups.) In their "Juice" performance video Onew -- SHINee's leader and one of the top vocalists in the industry -- was unable to participate in this performance, so the other members covered his parts in the song. However, if you listen to the song on the album, you will hear Onew's voice in the song and he creates an even richer feel. That's just SHINee for you, even when one of their main vocalists is missing, the other members can step in and cover for them and they still manage to sound and look flawless. Although each of their voices adds their own district color to their songs that can't be replaced -- to be fair, all their songs are much better with all 5 of them -- but the other members are so good, that they never look or sound like they are lacking, no matter who is covering each part of the song. The ONLY thing SHINee is not good at is lip syncing, so they have specifically trained since their debut, to build stamina and endurance, in order to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight, all while performing these intense choreographies. When you watch a live performance you may be shocked, because they sound so perfect live even though they are dancing so intensely, but that is why they are so highly respected by everyone. It's a running joke between fans and the members that you can tell when SHINee are lip syncing because they are so bad at it, that is why they avoid it at all costs. Therefore, when you hear SHINee sing, 95% of the time it will be live. Yes, over the years they have become better at lip syncing then they used to be, but now they have gained the reputation as the group that always sings live, so unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, what you will hear is live vocals. Other Idols and audio sound technicians, etc. who have witnessed SHINee performing live are always blown away, because in the parts of the song where most singers would take a break and rely on the backing track vocals to cover their voices so they can catch their breath and recover, this is where the SHINee members actually ramp it up and become their most powerful. Therefore, in their live performance of "Juice" SHINee sounds even better than in the recorded version, all while dancing full out. What make SHINee so great is that even if they are singing a cappella while performing this high energy choreography, they sound just as flawless. That's why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive. When SHINee debuted, they were the first group to demonstrate how it was possible to sing live while performing complex choreography and still maintain stable vocals. Before SHINee, the thought within the industry was that it wasn't possible to sing live and also perform high intensity choreography at the same time. At that time, most groups would either sing live and have simple choreography, or they would have crazy cool choreography, but lip sync to their recorded vocals. SHINee completely changed the Kpop industry and upped the standard of what it meant to be an idol singer. SHINee live is unmatched. It's literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard that all other groups strive to reach, and SHINee are the vocalists that all other artists try to emulate. SM really hit gold when they formed this group, and I don't think it can ever be duplicated in the same way again. To understand just how influential SHINee is, I recommend a video called, "SHINee's Impact in Music is BIGGER Than You Think. {{Deep Dive}} [15th Anniversary Tribute]," th-cam.com/video/9trZ7XFOL5w/w-d-xo.html. There's been a lot of debate whether "Hard" or "Juice" should be the lead/title track on SHINee''s Hard album -- SM wanted "Juice," to be the lead track, but the SHINee members insisting on "Hard." At this point, I think we all just need to trust SHINee knows what they are doing. Over the past 15 years, we have seen the SHINee members prove time and time again, that they know how to be one step ahead of the trend. For example, Jonghyun (SHINee's main vocalist, who passed away in 2017) wanted his song "Deja Boo" to be his solo debut song, but SM insisted on his song "Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)." And in the end, Jonghyun was right. "Deja Boo" became so popular as a b-side track that it had SM scrambling to find ways to showcase the song, proving Jonghyun knew what he was doing. And, "View" -- which is one of SHINee's most popular songs -- wasn't even a contender for SHINee's Odd album, until Jonghyun rewrote the lyrics and the members pushed SM to make it their lead track. In their recent "SHINee's - 15m Roadtrip comeback show", Key, Minho and Taemin revealed that they spent a lot of extra time making sure everything felt right with their Hard album. They wanted to release the album on May 25, the day of their 15th anniversary, but things needed work. For example, there was a section in "Hard" that needed some tweaking. So, instead of just rushing to get it done, they took the time to make it perfect. Key said, that when they heard the final version of "Hard" -- which was sent to them while they were in Japan filming "The Feeling" MV -- his legs went numb and he knew "Hard" had to be their title track. LOL I think the members chose wisely. Although I love "Juice" because it does a really good job of showing exactly what makes SHINee one of the best of the best, and no one can perform the way they do. However, "Hard" has a much more universally marketable/catchy sound when it comes to appealing to the mainstream public, and the choreography lends itself to being much easier to use for things like tiktok challenges, etc. than "Juice" would have been.
I agree. I ever keep them. THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INFORMATION !!! 🥰💖🙏🇺🇸♥️♥️🌹🌹🌹I would like to know how long you have known Shinee and where you get your information. I have been reading them for over 2 years
@@dianamarzano8445 Thanks, you're sweet. I've been a Kpop fan since 2006, so I've been a Shawol from day one. My info is my opinions coupled with facts I have accumulated over years and years of following SHINee and Kpop in general.
I think the song is talking about how the artist and the audience are mutually intoxicated/consumed with one another. There's vampire imagery in the choreo. Thank you for reacting and enjoying Shinee! I've really liked all your reactions to them so far.
Yea SHINee ❤ they r the first experimental group of SM, suggest you react to their old songs e.g. Atlantis, View, why so serious, married to the music, Sherlock , don’t call me, everybody. Live stage such as Ring Ding Ding + Lucifer remix from SWC5 concert, Why so serious from the same concert, please don’t go, dear name @IU palette, selene 6.23 @sea of hope etc😊
Haha, well, before the album came out all we had was the tracklist, and the first three song titles were HARD, JUICE, and 10x. Because everyone on the internet is an immature middle schooler at heart, there were certain inevitable jokes being made. But then it turned out that 10x really is kind of a sexy song, so... I'm preeetty sure SHINee's in on the joke. (Check out a lyrics video for it!) JUICE is up for interpretation, but I guess it can be anything from a metaphor for self-assurance to having a good time. Would definitely love to see you do a guide! And I 100% recommend live performances over MVs because live vocals and dance is where SHINee shines, though if you have the time doing both in a reaction could be fun.
There's a part of the choreo where they "cut" their wrists & "drink", so probably is about drinking blood but in a metaphorical way. That would explain why the setting of the video is that shade of red too.
TAEMIN IS MY BIAS WHEN THE OTHER 3 WERE IN THE ARMY TAEMIN WAS PART OF SUPPERM SM ACTUALLY OFFERED TAEMIN LEADER AND MAIN DANCER HE DAID NO THANK YOU TO LEADER AND KEPT MAIN DANCER SUPPERM IS MAID OF OTHER MENBERS OF SM MALE GROUPS THEY ARE AMAZING YOU SHOULD LOOK INTO THEM
Actually if you watch Knowing Bros, Kai took the Main Dancer Position, Taemin is Maemul in SuperM.. Main Multi.. means he's all of it, Main Vocals, Dancer, Visual, Center... Just all of it❤❤
As you said SM makes goated groups (SM treat your idols with respect!); SM water has something special for real lol. Maybe the other group you were thinking about was NCT, they have 2 killing voices, I believe you would like them aswell. NCT is a lot but totally worth it. SHINee kings of kpop. SHINee trent setters. Replay National Anthem.
I love a good performance video-ESPECIALLY from SHINee. I imagine there’s not a single soul who, after watching JUICE, could honestly say they didn’t end up THIRSTY-whether that’s for our Five incredibly handsome and talented men themselves OR their impeccable vocals, rapping skills, dancing abilities, fashion sense/styling, and/or performance abilities. Would you believe Kibum/Key has had a wrist injury the entire comeback which required him to wear a brace? Bet you couldn’t tell from the performance MV or any other appearance or concert because he made that brace a fricken fashion statement! The Princes are BACK for GOOD! I’m so proud of them. Honestly, Kibum, Minho, & Taemin are doing Jinki & Jjong proud…they’re *killing* it. I pray Jinki knows how much he is loved and that he gets well soon. ♥️ SHINee came back in true SHINee fashion-setting the Standard and breaking boundaries! SHINee’s BACK BACK BACK BACK BACK!!!!!!! Additionally, I’ve looked to see the other songs you’ve reacted to and I’m surprised to find you haven’t yet reacted to K-pop’s introduction to EDM, since you’re an EDM producer. Care to guess which experimental group brought that genre over to KPOP? 😂 Of course, it’s SHINee!!! I think you’ll freak over “Everybody”. The MV is seriously cool, but I’d love if you’d do a double-reaction and include their Tokyo Dome performance as it’s easily regarded as one of the best performances of the song by our guys, according to practically every other Shawol I know. I’ll drop the links for you! Everybody MV: th-cam.com/video/hKbNV-4b_g8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UmZgAX6l6N9U0tAr Tokyo Dome SWCIV: th-cam.com/video/P_VJ_flgEVo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cEp01YcZ2WOdDFrO
Btw, SuperM includes SHINee’s Golden Maknae, Taemin, as the center and one who helped “assemble” the other Avengers of KPOP. 😉 There are many who argue who the Kings or Gods of KPOP are, but I’ve never heard any arguments about who the Princes of KPOP are: SHINee. They’re known for their princely demeanors, their kindness, humbleness, and how everyone ***loves*** working with them. I’ve never heard a bad word from anyone who’s worked with them. They are universally respected across the entire industry, no matter the company. I could not be more proud to be Shawol.
really loved it when you said their voices are what makes them shinee regardless of genres cause that's what i've been feeling. if i may suggest something, please react to '1 of 1' next to continue on the genre hopping journey ^^ link to mv: th-cam.com/video/WJua7KEP_oE/w-d-xo.html
This performance video is sooo good and I'm glad they gave Juice the attention it deserves as an awesome song! Onew isn't in this video because he has been taking some time off for his health. We all wish him well
PLEASE react to more spectacular SHINee, and the next please "10X" which is the next track on this new album HARD, and it is something REALLY different from HARD and Juice, it is something jazzy and catchy like h"... Here is the link to 10X from their live performance from their anniversary show 15M Roadtrip: Enjoy: th-cam.com/video/VbczGPPZmUo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=SHINee
The veterans are getting it done and doing so spectacularly. They look fine, fantastic choreo, vocals and styling. Yeah, they have got it ALL.
You are right they are soo diverse ....this performance hits this hard even though they are 2 members down here....but 3 of them can hold the power
Kings of K-pop, they are the best,.

You're doing great. SHINee is the most talented group I know and many other groups and idols admire them and some became idols because of them.
I am in for a SHINee guide and Live performances.
This album is sooo good, 100% NO SKIPS!!!!!

Have fun!
they are the ppl that can pull of any type of performance and it feels like they've done it all their lives
This is the high class performance of the 15 year old group
SHINee is THE LEGEND forever
TAEMIN's footwork is no joke. THE KING of kings

LOL
I think the members chose wisely.
I always love your thoughtful interpretations.
I've really liked all your reactions to them so far.
kings of kpop 💚
Yea SHINee ❤ they r the first experimental group of SM, suggest you react to their old songs e.g. Atlantis, View, why so serious, married to the music, Sherlock , don’t call me, everybody. Live stage such as Ring Ding Ding + Lucifer remix from SWC5 concert, Why so serious from the same concert, please don’t go, dear name @IU palette, selene 6.23 @sea of hope etc😊
Shinee เป็นกลุ่ม KPOP ที่สมบูรณ์แบบที่สุด
In my opinion, it means you got the gist now. If you read the lyrics, it technically says now you know how I feel. So you get the gist.
2:42 min in this video. 1:19 in the original one. After they sing "We know we got the juice ya".
@@jerifisshu I've read that theory! I guess it could be about possession, too.

Btw, SuperM includes SHINee’s Golden Maknae, Taemin, as the center and one who helped “assemble” the other Avengers of KPOP. 😉
There are many who argue who the Kings or Gods of KPOP are, but I’ve never heard any arguments about who the Princes of KPOP are: SHINee. They’re known for their princely demeanors, their kindness, humbleness, and how everyone ***loves*** working with them. I’ve never heard a bad word from anyone who’s worked with them. They are universally respected across the entire industry, no matter the company. I could not be more proud to be Shawol.
really loved it when you said their voices are what makes them shinee regardless of genres cause that's what i've been feeling. if i may suggest something, please react to '1 of 1' next to continue on the genre hopping journey ^^

Here is the link to 10X from their live performance from their anniversary show 15M Roadtrip: Enjoy:
