아브드라자코프는 범상한 바리톤 가운데 최고 수준의 바리톤이다. 그러나 흐보로스톱스키는 바리톤 역사에 높이 떠 있는 태양이다. 소리가 좋고 큰 바리톤은 세상에 많고도 많다. 그러나 예술적으로 품격이 높은 노래를 부르는 바리톤은 그렇게 많지 않다. 아브라자코프는 군데 군데 음정이 정확하지 못한 곳이 지적된다. 흐보로스톱스키에게는 없는 문제점이다.

One sings pretty freely and, I know from having heard live, projects well. The other looks like hard work and pushes (hardly the type of Bellini line which Chopin admired). You decide who is who!

The conducting is shit and, as a result, there are some very awkward moments vocally and instrumentally. Hvorostovksy is still the greatest baritone of his generation IMO. Abrazakov has an impressive instrument but he is definitely a bass baritione, not a bass. I prefer a bass in this role. One will see how he develops.
Unfortunately Dmitri, the best bariton ever, is long gone, what a great miss!! I agree with you though for the other one, but on the meantime he will probably have reached this bass level.
