- Every popular TH-camr starts the same. Little to no viewership, barely any money, mostly genuine, and a big dream. But as they start to get more popular, a lot of them lose themselves to the fame and the money and their ego tends to grow larger than their fanbase. I don't want fans, I don't want an ego. This video is my declaration that I will always stay genuine and I will do my best to stay the same person despite how ever many subscribers I end up having in the future
Thanks for making this. I think your message is really well explained. I don't really know where to start but I guess I'll just write. I was born near Tinker Air Force base in Oklahoma City back in 2006, due to my dad going to boot camp there. He eventually got a dishonorable discharge because he was so fucked up on drugs during that time. My grandparents came and got me at some point. There's a lot that happened in between the ages of 5-15 that I won't share because it is honestly just way too much to explain and involves a lot of trauma. I moved back and forth between my grandparents house and dad's a lot. Even though my mom was and still is absent in my life, I can really relate to her right now. She was always described as "lost" by my family. And that describes exactly how I feel.
I have a few interests that could lead to jobs, like I really love cars and computers, but trying to find an opportunity in this small bumfuck town I live in is hard. (less than 2,000 people) There's a little mechanic's shop here but they aren't accepting applicants. I even went and met the owners a few months back and it basically boiled down to "Well we can't hire you but you can come and watch us do some stuff". So I did, and even though I gained some knowledge, I still didn't know what to do. I also had volunteer job at our local food bank for a while and made really good money through a internship but I don't volunteer there anymore. At this point I'm just doing nothing everyday and it feels terrible.
Thinking about it clearly, I really only have about 4 options:
- Find something exclusively online, because we live far from even bigger stores
- Work at the local grocery store, where most of the people who work there are miserable and if you don't have a big family name they treat you like shit.
- Ask the local car collector guy if he's hiring anybody, even a shop sweeper or something would be cool
- Work at the local elementary school as a substitute food service worker or janitor, which wouldn't be often but I guess better than nothing
I'm just at such a loss because I want to better myself, both physically and mentally, but I have yet to make that step and actually do it. I don't know. I think I'm just rambling at this point 🤣 I'm sure I'll figure it all out eventually, it just feels good to actually type it out rather than keep it in my head. bro, im from 2006 too. listen up bro, the local grocery shop isnt the answer. you shall try it online. you know that this is the only way out of the situation (becoming financally independent) they are ways with no starting capital so no risk at all. its difficult but i believe in u brother never give up.

I agree. Especially if it is a job that you don't plan on working for a long time. The more relationships you build at a work place the harder it will be for you to move on from that job.
