- This is 2 hours of footage condensed down to 4 minutes of the cats in a sunspot. I slowed down the video to normal speed on two occasions. Once to show you an interaction between Cleo and Abby and secondly to show you an interaction between Cleo and Athena. I hope you enjoy this different kind of video today.

Mais pour consolation Athena qui l'accepte et lui fait des câlins 😽 c'est tellement adorable !! What I've learned from this is that your door needs a bigger window.

@@koenven7012 Exactly. And until we get those 3 windows installed, kitties at least need a couple of comfy cushions set up in the sunspots. That floor is no bueno for maximum kitty comfort!
@@tothelighthouse9843 Honestly, I'd think the cool flat floor surface combined with the solar heat from the sunspot creates a fairly optimal condition for the cats. But I'm not a cat, so I can't say for sure.
She need separate large size windows altogether
I did learn anything new, but this reinforces my belief that all cats should be allowed to go outdoors freely.
Cats were solar powered way before cars.

I feel like during the timelapse segments it looks like the cats start to realize the sunspot is moving away from them and they're indignant about it. Best timelapse I've ever seen.

In 1989, my father finally splurged on the $1000 VCR tape camcorder he'd been coveting. Being the weirdo he is, he decided to set the camera to record one full second every 30 seconds.... and focused in on our cat lying in a patch of sun against the back fence. In the foreground is our parrot in its cage.
When the earthquake, during the world series, hit, dad got 2 full seconds. (or three) before the power went out. He got the cat cleaning itself, nonchalant, NOT predicting an earthquake. Songbirds in the background were, also, nonchalant. The parrot as well. Then we get the first microseconds of the quake, bird falls with a squawk to the bottom of the cage, cat looks with suspicion at the fence that suddenly thwacked it on the buttocks, and you can hear (A) the roar of the earth grinding, (B) the sounds of human screams, (C) Shattering glass, and finally (D) the sound of crumbling brick structures.
If you can ever get that video into digital, do yourself a favor and post it. That’s a one in a million shot! 😮

Cleo seems like such a nice cat. Even when she had the sunspot all to herself, she didn't hog it. I'm glad she got her time in the sun!
Oh, to be a cat. I wish I could be content just sitting in a sun spot, pondering my existence while washing my face, and then repositioning myself at it moves.
Ah, you got one thing wrong. A cat doesn't ponder its existence. there is why the cat is happy: it isn't pondering anything in particular, especially while they're enjoying the sunshine :3

That is so adorable how they all wanted to lay in the sunshine. Cleo was so darling, walking in stealth mode, but poor thing got slapped by Abby. I’m glad Athena snuggled with Cleo and bathed her. That’s so sweet. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

They are such adorable cats! Also, I love to see time-lapse videos that show the movement of the sun. Based on the fact that the vertical movement is much more pronounced than the horizontal, it’s obvious to me that this video was taken at a relatively low latitude.
