Courier company in the Hunter Valley has these with 350 to 450 000 km apparently on there Utube promo they didn't look to rusted out to me. I guess if you flog the thing around the salt on Fraser we'll I guess it could turn into a rust flake. But then anything prob will😂. I always said I would never buy a second 4x4 from south-east Qld never😂
Roothy, granted, its a lovely piece of concealed jewelry, a thing of beauty and a joy forever........ Do we have some dyno numbers? I'm not an expert, pretty ordinary shade tree mechanic, but, I like me some science, have we got some solid numbers? I know the butt dyno can be swayed by desire for improvement rather than hard and fast numbers. Lovely piece of work though, almost as lovely as all the staintunes that have flowed through my hands over the years.
Yes - and no. I've run it on the dyno since with snorkel and playing with the ecu as well as this pipe and we have some numbers from before so it's not a fair comparison, but it's pretty generally accepted that getting the exhaust gases out of a diesel (or 4 stroke petrol) as easily as possible is the forst step. You can't do better than this style of flow through pipe in my opinion. I'll get hold of the numbers we have and do something on the dyno soon.
Did you just say, you don't suggest running one of these diesel engines with no Def engine bc it won't be good for the engine bc it was designed to run with def?
The current utes don't have def systems, the new auto will apparently. The dpf seems to run fairly well, I have yet to see any messages at all in 4,000km of driving, although I have smelt it a few times when I have stopped after a short highway run, stonking hot stainless steel smell.
problem so i hear with the curry cruisers is most of the parts can only be gotten threw dealerships, there isn't even an after market brake pad let alone disks and the third "big" service the dealerships don't even change air filters and the service is near on $1000.... mahindra needs a kick in the arse, this kind of thing turns people off, it has done with me..........
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY it was said more so for others to take into account, others that have them and reviewed them aren't impressed by these issues, frankly the limited parts and only being able to get them threw dealerships is a turn off to me .....
Nah, the after market just hasn't updated the catalogues yet. filters are Bosch, Mahle, fleetguard. shocks are the same as early couriers bt50's, universals are standard 1350's fitted to almost everything in Australia, torsion bars are supposed to be early Hilux. Bearings are standard sizes, tyres are standard size 16 inch. Brake pads are Bosch, not a common fitment in Australia but there are after market available, I think it's a Mercedes Vito part, could be wrong on that one. The air pre filters are cleanable, the main should get replaced at 25,000km

His wife says very comfortable to ride in also. He has 4 X Toyota 79 series, he now prefers to drive his Mahindra and leave 79s at home. I was amazed. Sort of defies what you suggest, ha.
Yes, although if I looked for comments I'd be worried about almost everything. I'll stick to trying it out, gave the first one a real flogging for a year, and let you know how it goes. Definitely not many people know much about them here yet - you have to find your experts.
Which 4x4 do you propose buying that is built in Japan. Because there’s about three on the market that are still made there and they’re double the price at least.
You may want to check todays media, Toyota has just been hit with a class action law suite over 500,000 vehicles fitted with emissions cheat software. Oh what a feeling! Guess the remarkable resale just took a trip down the s bend.

I live in Belize and the Mahindra PikUp they sell here has no DPF. Am I correct that this exhaust would not work for a PikUp with no DPF?
Looks great cobber. Whens the 'audio' test?
It's not much louder at all thanks to the dpf, but there's a throatiness that says it's straight through. I'll record it for the test clip - here soon
