- Start Capturing Remote Control Buttons, To Then Replay Them Back, Controlling The Fan; Here's How To Do It! Thank You For Sharing The Video; Portapack Provides Touchscreen, Dial And Button Access For The HackRF, Adding sdcard Storage
HackRFHackRF: Already An Amazing Radio Device. Add In Portapack, And You Have A Portable SIGINT / Wireless Ethical Pentest Station.
Whether interested in a handheld radio, an avid Ham operator, a developer working on new wireless protocols, or want to try ethical pentesting on your car, the HackRF provides nearly all the Flipper zero offers, with added capabilities
Warning: HackRF is considered an advanced device - this may not be the right 'toy' for everyone.
If looking to try SDR, my recommendation is going with an RTL-SDR Blog V3 / V4. The rtl-sdr is a perfect place to start, and can listen to nearly as much range as HackRF, with greater clarity.
If the goal is listening to shortwave radio, an rtl-sdr is the right option.
If a cybersecurity / SIGINT professional, hackRF could be a nice option, for your next device purchase
The HackRF is something I mostly recommend to experienced linux users - it's not "beginner friendly" - unless you buy a completed kit with firmware ready to use. Even then, familiarity with Linux commandline is strongly encouraged.
With the Portapack / HackRF, you have countless options for playing with the spectrum. From 1 MHz, all the way up to 6 GHz.
Share the video to educate, spread awareness, and help strengthen the networks upon which transparency / journalism depend.
We have seen various stories over the years, millions and millions of dollars invested into trying to break the privacy / security / anonymity of innocent people around the world.

Thank you for this content!
LOVE hearing that. Thank you for sharing feedback and appreciate you subscribing to the channel!
Hackrf is a fun toy! Might get another for some ideas. 😆
Do you label the remote codes you record?
Do a demo on gps spoofing.
cool gadget ,
very interesting demo
many thing can be done 🔥
amazing potential, and portable. It's really great. 🤩
Great video. I like how you touched on the Canadian governments nonsense. Lol
Gotta dispute the non-sense so fear-banning doesn't prevail 😉
Fear is the mind killer
this is VERY educational video.. THANKS... SO: How can i open my cars door with this device, please educate ME... ;)
hahaa, might do a demo on that eventually. Have some things planned ahead, but it's definitely a possible video.
Please DO :))@@RTPTechTips
Thanks for the hack rf videos 👍🏼
Absolutely! And Thank you for sharing feedback - planning more hackrf videos in future.
Would really like to see some TEMPEST type tests with this device.
Hey me too! I haven't had time to play with that yet - but certainly planning to try TempestSDR or similar. 🙂
i cant change the preset mode they only manuel as an option what can i do?
Sounds like you are missing the sdcard files.
Formatting / download file for extracting to sdcard info found here: github.com/portapack-mayhem/mayhem-firmware/releases/tag/v2.0.1
There is one option with maps, and one without (for adsb for example).
That file contains the presets and all.
Once you reboot the radio, it will load (as long as formatted right).
i'v got a questions that i really want you to take 2 minutes from your time to answer ❤❤
is tor bridges trackable ?
is it ok to use the same bridges you requested over and over ?
what are the thinks i should take in consideration whene using tor bridges ?
by the way i watched your tor bridges video but i want even more detailed information 💙💙
Are bridges trackable? That's a complex question. The important part is, most denaonymization risk comes down to user behavior. That's what it ALWAYS has historically come down to: user choices.
So many other things should be taken into account before looking at bridge anonymity.
Overall, bridges provide a more of a private way to use Tor IMHO - no one knows the full extent of systems behind the screens with regards to attacking Tor, and so it isn't a direct answer kind of question.
I do not consider them risky at all unless someone were unlucky enough to hit the exact same owner controlling bridge and exit node, in same circuit, at same time.
Unfortunately given the complexity and unknowns, "are bridges trackable", is not something that can be directly answered in yes or no.
They represent unlisted entry into Tor network - making them less trackable than publicly listed nodes.
Are they safe? Absolutely IMHO. And can be more safe, by following some basic user guidelines. Some tips here: th-cam.com/video/83o4oaXqHQc/w-d-xo.html
And sure you could use the same bridge over and over - but if goal is max safety, changing never hurts.
Also encourage trying out I2P. It has the added benefit of all users becoming routers, and I think you may enjoy it. Have several videos on getting started, and benefits on network.
@@RTPTechTips I really appreciate your time answering 💙💙 thanks for the informations it will help me a lot
Sure. And good luck on your adventures!
Its capture time
My favorite time outside replay time 😎 🖨️ 📡 🛰️
How do u edit it?
What about scanning for the frequency? Like the flipper can do. Reading the frequency and cloning it?
There are other apps on the portapack - will talk about them, including a useful one for finding frequency. Flipper is nice too though!
Nice 😊
Thank You !
Can you tell me why my preset is stuck on manual?
You likely don't have a fat32 formatted SDCARD inserted with the files from mayhem firmware page. ;)
Awesome.
Very much!
Do you label the remote codes?
You can save things, and name things for later loading - I haven't done too much of that, as I've been working on some other things recently, but definitely will be pulling out the portapack H2 again soon. :)
Thanks for your comment!
My capture doest work csn u help me same model
If not seeing it, you probably have wrong frequency there - check the back of your remote, usually printed on this. Different models / brands may use entirely different freq.
Cars since 1990's won't work unless using combo of devices (in case this was what you were looking at).
open the door on a hyper car lol
Had to look this car model up... would not mind at all. 🤩
Nice video 💀🥲
On a unrelated note why does the official TH-cam app not have app compat support💀
Hey thanks! :)
Hmmm didn't even know that - I use my laptop pretty much for everything.
@@RTPTechTips fr💀
Why don't you use your phone tho💀
I do love my phone. Just type / work faster on laptop. I find typing on the tiny touchscreen painful. Especially trying to communicate. But I probably just need practice (since I use it much less often)! Was mostly a Pinephone user last few years - android keyboard not quite the same.
