This really highlights where Wheatley's anger comes from - he is so vulnerable and at the mercy of others, as an escaping core being carried by Chell and as a cog in the Aperture machine being verbally abused by GLaDOS and then discarded (just as GLaDOS is, but her vulnerability is a little different in that she is hurt/mind-controlled almost on purpose and often by the scientists, and even now when she's subjected them all to brutal deaths she can be affected by what they've done to the mainframe, so their ghosts haunt her and pull her strings for eternity)
Well if they are ghosts, someone has to call the Ghostbusters to get it fixed, but if it isn't and it's just metaphorical because the programing was made by them and it's still a part of her to this day because it was never hacked or destroyed then the Ghostbusters don't need to be called because it's the programming that was made by the scientists that still is with her and haunts her to this day because she wants to be completely in control, but sadly the programing holds her back like the scientists telling her to not do stuff she wants to do. (Well if they scolded her in the past it would make sense, otherwise it doesn't.
But if Wheatley falls down he’ll be able to meet Chell’s parents, a freedom route, boy bands and normal boys, her family, a new portal gun, trendy shirts and trends, and a pony farm!
I remember finding these during a glitch where you could dodge the incinerator GLaDOS throws you in and you could free roam her chamber. These lines still played but no Wheatley, I got a little freaked out cause I thought it was Wheatley's ghost or something, lol. (I was like 8 when I first found these during free roam GLaDOS chamber okay please don't make fun of me) I mean, roaming around in GLaDOS' chamber was already a bit freaky, it perfectly nailed that kenopsia feeling (if you don't know what that is basically it's that feeling you get when you're alone but feel like you're not and that puts you on edge) and GLaDOS was ignoring you too, not saying a word, staring at the claw thing she used to pick you up, Obviously this was not intended to happen so Valve didn't give her lines or animations for this, and hearing someone you JUST saw get killed talking to you just added to the fear factor, but brave 8-year old me didn't quit the game. And obviously nothing happened, so I just jumped down the incinerator and continued playing normally, which yes you can do because the incinerator only closes when you get dropped in.
I actually got this line before. At the part where GLaDOS drops you into the long chute, somehow i landed on the edge of the opening and was able to walk around the environment again, so i walked over to the broken stairway and the line played and it scared me.
hot take wheatley deserved so much more . he deserves a proper redemption. it is /not/ his fault that glados's chassis drove him batty, he wasn't built to have that much power or control & his programming is literally designed to make stupid decisions. he's as much of a victim as chell and caroline are, and i am TIRED of people pretending that he was using chell and intended to betray her the entire time. peace and love, read blue sky

Considering that there is a finite amount of space to actually dig a pit, it's technically impossible for any pit to be bottomless. However in a world where portals exist, a bottomless pit is theoretically possible, in an abstract sense

Although an endless pit is not possible everything will have an end even if you die and your corpse keeps going though the pit and then eventually your bones the heat death of the universe will happen eventually. But potentially thourgh parallel universes it could continue

According to his VA, Stephen Merchant, that's what made this role very hard for him. He said that in video games, there has to be lines for every single possible situation that may occur, which means more voice lines than what you would have in animated movies, for example. Wheatley has an hour's worth of voicelines, the most out of the voiced characters in the single-player campaign.
Well if you did that, YOU would turn into a potato. Tbh, Chell would have had no chance of escaping if it weren’t for Wheatley, especially the part where he SAVES you (see what I did there?)
For everyone who knows the voice actor, What we need in Portal 3 is a section where wheatley returns, and 2 extra cores, voiced by Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington. Either have section as a break where they just talk crap for like 5 minutes, or have them come in and out throughout the entire game.

I don't think ghosts exist in the Half Life universe. Key word is think as the only thing that comes to mind really is the children's playpark in HL2.

i have played through the entire game 4 times how did i miss that
