Fun Fact: In Mario Odyssey, you *should* actually be able to do a corner wall jump with ease, but Nintendo hard-coded it so you can't. If you try, you can reach the other wall with enough height using a spin, but Mario simply won't cling to the wall until you're below the height you jumped from the other wall, meaning Nintendo actively didn't want you to do that.
I recommend to anyone who tries this mod to bind "r_drawclipbrushes" to their keyboard, as this mod doesn't seem to remove any invisible walls and it's frustrating to manuver around them without it.
Portal 2 but you have limited portals. It would be more fun for casual players or people who don't know how to do least portals, becasue it adds an extra element, making sure that you don't mess up a portal, searching for more portals, and then also planning ahead to make sure you have enough portals for the level.

Ok. I think I got a GOOD idea for a challenge, finally. The challenge is that every step you take, you get smaller, if you're too small, you can't affect button plates, reach button pedestals, or lift objects. Areal faith plates can possibly also throw you farther. But falling through portals or through the air (funnels count as falling through air) won't make you smaller. This can also mean you need to get creative when how you get things around (falling from above to catch the button on the pedestal, fitting through smaller gaps) I don't know if this could work, or if it needs some tweaks, or if it's just not that great. But I hope I'm onto something.

Portal 2 has maps as small as Triple Laser and as large as Three Gels. Besides, I've already done player resizing before. Not to this extent, but it isn't strictly original. Selling this idea is not easy.
@@ianmitchell5979 Title first, idea after. If it's interesting, it'll be intuitive. And if the title is bad, what's the point of making a mod if no one will watch it. After that, you just tweak it to play well in all of the game's scenarios. It helps to know all of the game's maps and quirks off the top of your head. Most challenges I've made are ones that I just "throw at the game" and then pace through the levels imagining how it'll play. And most challenges fail in this step. My earlier videos fail to show this too, as my quality control didn't exist back then. Really do just ask yourself if you'd care to watch a 15-20 minute video on it. If you can't answer that (as in, you're not sure what the video would entail - which seems to be the case here) then you haven't planned out the challenge enough. If it's a no, then that's obviously simply boring. If it's a yes, that still doesn't guarantee a fun mod, but it'd be good for what I do.
I know this comment is probably not going to be seen, but I’ve got an idea. What if you imported the abilities of Link from Tears of the Kingdom into Portal. That would include recall, accend, and ultrahand. You could make some really cool test chambers with these abilities in combination with portals
honestly, I think the Cappy model SHOULD be that beanie cosmetic, but with Cappy's eyes, because, looking at how Cappy actually works, that's definitely the form he would take if he joined Chell instead of Mario

tbh. The beanie looks a lot better than cappy... Just adorable and IMO more in theme with Portal... You could perhaps offer a reskin with more portal-ish designs like the beany and maybe Aperture logo instead of moons?
This may sound like a dumb idea for a Portal 2 challenge but here it goes; going through a blue portal makes you jump higher, while orange portals make you faster. I know the gimmick is not all that original but it seems interesting enough, I hope.
Do p2 with rocket launcher, bc you already did that as a mod. I do not know how it is named, one of intro ones(one after smooth jazz, as i remember) is my favourite. Future starter lead to discovering you can fire multiple rokets at ones to get INSANE boost, and trust fling as i can say is the ultimate pinnacle for me. Laser over goo was also cool
The fact that both games end on the moon is such a good way to tie this all together.

It's called a 90 degree wall jump, not a corner wall jump, this trick has been in a few Mario games (notably galaxy)
