    I’m very very confused. For a load of 30 to 35 pounds which pack is most comfortable? Deuter aircontact , act lite or the futura vario? I’m going on a trek to the Himalayas . Nice review .

      The Aircontact Lite might be your best bet. Its lighter than the standard Aircontact and the Futura Vario packs, but it still has great suspension and comfort features. What it won't have is a zippered access to the main body of the pack (you can still access the sleeping bag compartment and from the top opening). FYI - "Aircontact" is Deuter's new name for the former ACT series.
      Smaller capacities are available if you don't need all that volume (one of our folks hiked the Annapurna circuit with

    Any problems with the velcro coming loose for the strap adjustment? How does it compare to the osprey atmos for comfort and durability?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The velcro is really solid, so no issues there. Durability will be comparable, but this pack is an older model with a different style backpanel than the atmos. Comfort will depend a lot on user preference. Happy Trails!

    How would you compare this one to the Gregory Baltoro 65

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Gabriel. thanks for asking. The Deuter ACT Lite is suited for lighter weight loads compared to the Gregory Baltoro. If your pack weight is over 35+ pounds, we'd recommend the Baltoro. The weight capacity of the ACT LIte is 42 pounds and the weight capacity of the Baltoro is 50 pounds.

    I found this backpack but it's not internal frame and looks slightly different- Deuter ACT Lite 65+10. Is this an old model? Is it similar? Should I definitely keep searching to find an internal frame version?

      Deuter has released a new model of this backpack, but both have internal frames. A pack this size will carry weight better if it has a frame!

    whats the difference between ACT LITE and Aircontact please, tq

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Aircontact is what Deuter calls the newer versions of the ACT line, so it's essentially just the updated model. Happy Trails!

      The Deuter Aircontact Lite model in NZ weighs 1.99kg. The standard Aircontact weighs 2.45kg and has a front zip for those that like main compartment "suitcase" access. NZ trampers tend to use an internal heavy waterproof plastic bag instead of a rain cover, so the pack is used as one large compartment, accessed from the top. This ensures gear stays dry in rain and deeper river crossings. The 65+10 Lite is a sturdy pack capable of carrying bulky and or heavy loads, despite its light weight.
