That's exactly what I thought if it's the case that would be a nice addition to this genre, surprisingly seemed like it was pretty realistic and reminded me of the clip from last year of the Ukrainian T-72 ambushing a Russian armored column and the armored column laying down suppressive fire in the direction they assumed they were being ambushed from (not the actual direction)
I've always disliked how, if a unit isn't "spotted," your units can't attack them and just sit there taking hits until they arbitrarily "see" the enemy. I like this where, even if you can't "see" the enemy, your guys will fire at where they think they are in an effort to suppress them until they confirm their location. Much more realistic.
Between the very impressive graphics and audio (don't forget the audio!) and the story-building, I'm also definitely getting major World in Conflict vibes.
1) All the tactical aids are now delivered by assets (planes, artillery, MFing drones!) that the player controls himself, so I don't think its' quite right to say that they are 'missing' from Broken Arrow 2) Terrain destruction in WiC was and remains the best in its class but I'm not certain that it greatly affected gameplay; it was notably absent in the single-player campaign. Building destruction, however, is alive and as good as ever in Broken Arrow
This is what I've been waiting for since World in Conflict... an actual RTS game with large major command and control but also small-scale micro-battles in the battlefield that you can control. This is really something special indeed.
Yeah that's what I want full command and control of the whole entire army. Hope they let us use more units and do away with the point system, plus the micro managing is awesome, imagine if you can first person view from I infantry and vehicles
I just hope they release modding tools unlike all other types of of RTS like this (WarGame, Warno, etc etc) mods not only keep the game alive, they can attract all sorts of other players to make the player base bigger.
I’ve been in love with the RTS game genre ever since I started playing C&C generals years ago when I was a kid. This game right here is by far one of the most in-depth RTS games I have seen in a while and can’t wait to see more units and factions added to it!
I used to play the hell out of CnC Generals back in the day, been looking for a modern RTS and this looks like a lot of fun, will definitely pick this game up once it comes out
The hype is definitely real with this game, and from the looks of it we finally have a game that is worth the hype! This looks like its gonna blow WARNO & Regiments out of the water, and both of those games are good games as well.
That is cool. When I served in Lithuanian armed forces I was stationed near Kaliningrad where the first mission took place. Nice to see devs include that area.
Hope there's a mix of smaller scale missions like this one along with larger scale. Sometimes eugen games get very unit spammy and I really long for a smaller scale tactical fight like this one from time to time.
This may possibly be my dream game. I absolutely loved world in conflict, and this is possibly a better version of it from what I’ve seen. In the amount of vehicles and units at the start is very impressive. Not including the fact that DLC‘s will come out and possibly even morning. Good God I’m excited!
if modders come out with a sandbox mode where you can create a country and have a full on political/military simulator.....this game would be the Goat of rpg/rts games.
I had a lot of fun playing the demo mission. The game seems to handle combined arms very well. It's a very beautiful game graphically. Definitely will be spending the money and picking this up when it launches. Glad to see a modern RTS that isn't garbage.
I'm relieved to see how promising the game seems. Like, idk just lately it's nice to actually have a demo for a game that is so far is keeping its word. Slower RTS games are definitely more my thing/ this looks like it would be great to play with some friends

Loved the video @DevildogGamer! Can't wait for the next video man! Broken Arrow definitely has Plenty of Promise as a Series on Any RTS Wargaming Channel on TH-cam! Some Lessons can be drawn here from the video, the main one being a Strategy that has been somewhat developed in Wargame: Red Dragon being that when you are in an Urban Environment sometimes the Best Option is to simply Find an Area to Establish a Perimeter and then Slowly move up ensuring that the Enemy will come to you but you can still keep moving while not necessarily endangering the Safety of your Troops. Also, as with any war or conflict, Supply will be the bane of every Commander's Existence. If the Trucks are going to be Moving as slow as the first truck you called in, your best Option is to have them come in as soon as your troops have started to form a Perimeter. Hope you like the Idea man and I'll catch you in your next video!
Devildog, about a month ago I went airsofting. Forgetting I had an obsidian arrowhead on a necklace. Obsidian is meant to be a form of spiritual protection according to my friend. Well, the first shot to hit me, was from someone shooting way hot. Breaking skin every time. But the first shot hit the arrowhead and broke it into 3 pieces. So it protected me as much as you can reasonably expect. And resulted in a kind of broken arrow. I respawned, drew both 1911's, and went ham. I got 3 speedsofters in one rush (recorded). So it was definitely fitting as a way to lose a piece of it. So fitting that I can't be upset very much. And immediately after I started seeing stuff about Broken Arrow, lol
I'm excited for this. Looks like its taken all of the best things from Wargame, WARNO and World in Conflict and combined but also improved them all. I hope they add more countries with DLC. Maybe other NATO countries and China and Japan.

I just wish a game could have instead of a vehicle always exploding and disappearing it could stay and be used as cover and not disappear. I would also like even a basic comm use instead of motivated jargon but overall the game looks great and fun
By the looks of it, the infantry movement between buildings needs to be slowed down to prevent teleporting units. But the time to kill infantry in cover looks good. I am also not a fan of the unit counter where it only limits how many you have on the field at one time. I honestly enjoy Wargame's system where you build your deck and only have a certain number of troops period. But maybe I'll warm up to it. But for the rest, keep up the good work Steel Balalika. Your gem looks good.
I love how infantry-centric this game is and how vulnerable the vehicles are if not positioned properly. They should improve building capturing tho, it should take 8 to 10 seconds for infantry to clear a building instead of capturing it instantly.
