    I'm in awe of the photos of the 'Bad Lands'. All I can think of are perceptions from old cowboy movies and the thought of how our forefathers crossed through such an area or how Indians or any human survived in such an environment. Thanks for sharing your journey. .

    Yes, please return to Ashland so we can see more😁 No crowds, small towns & bakeries - ahhh all my favourite things! US side of Lake Superior is on our list. Loved the north side and would like a do-over. Hope you’re enjoying the return leg of your trip and thanks for tour of Badlands NP!

    Debbie, thanks so much for sharing your shoe cup holder, it brought back wonderful memories of my childhood. When I was small, our family traveled a lot and of course there were many toll roads. So we took a shoe and filled it with change and set it on the hump on the floor and then we were always prepared for the toll roads. We called it the money shoe! Loved the video as always!

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi to the travelers! It was great to see you traveling thru Superior and Iron River WI. I grew up with the view you had of the Whaleback ship (although it wasn't there then) and our cabin is just south of Iron River. As mentioned earlier a trip up north of Highway 2 on Hwy 13 to Bayfield, Cornucopia and back to Superior is a highlight.
    If you get to the Canadian Sault there is a Seaplane Museum that is a must see. I thought my wife would last an hour and we ended up leaving when they closed.
    We have several 30 amp outlets on Lake Superior, Iron River and Duluth if you are ever wanting to pause for an evening.
    I don't know if you can contact us from this post but I will try to watch for a response if you can.
    Safe travels and keep up the great work, Bigfoot Dave

    Sure enjoyed the Badlands footage: really beautiful! We caught George's post walk through video on your van. You've inspired us to move toward a custom build with only things we need, versus what manufacturers "think" you need. Speaking of, what is your plan for the omnia oven, since you wont have propane? We've enjoyed using ours. Keep the adventuring going. We look forward to you films each Sunday.

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      We'll probably continue to carry our small propane cooktop. It's great for using outside in the summer and it will allow me to continue cooking in the Omnia Oven. Our new van will not have an oven or microwave. If you are thinking of a custom van, try to attend one of the Adventure Van Expos. There are probably 10 or so throughout the year.

    Hi my parents and I were watching you today and you mentioned that in this episode that the mosquitoes were really bad. Well I am not sponsored nor affiliated with this product that I thought might help with the mosquitoes in the van and outdoors when you are in the outdoors sitting around. It is THERMACELL Mosquito Repellent rechargeable device. A friend of mine has one and they used it while enjoying the outdoors camping and such. She like me agreed that this really worked great and helped alot. I am not sure of the cost for the rechargeable device or refills but I dont think the refills are real expensive. Just a thought. We love watching y'all very much.

    Marty Feldman from Young Frankenstein, what a character. I spotted him in Hollywood one day many years ago. I'll try and spot Ed and Ann this Summer at the Vistors Center and say hi. Loved seeing all those places where you can bike ride, next year I'm hoping to go more north and east. Looks like you found good food, good shopping, nice camp stops and those no good pesky mosquitos. Going try a recommendation from a lady in Mont., some Neutregena sesame skin oil, she said she never gets bit. Happy Travels!

    Yes you need, and would really enjoy, a 'real camera'. You have a fantastic sense of composition and subject matter, so you would enjoy the hobby of photography even more with a conventional camera in addition to a smartphone. There are of course many options available, but I would suggest looking into a small camera (Sony, Olympus/OM systems for example) which are much more conducive to actually having a camera with you more often than not. And of course YT is a wealth of information when you start pursuing it further.

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      The USFS wants to restrict parking on the rim side of the road and reduce it to 70 vehicle spots. So I'm guessing they will designate spots as they have now done in the Alabama Hills. I have no idea when it might go into effect. Apparently a vehicle went over the cliff and that's why this has been proposed.
