Thank you so much for getting to this! I guess I got so focussed on adding cards that improve the gameplan that I neglected the basics! I definitely need more ramp and interaction. I love the recommended cards though Sigil of the Empty Throne was a little too late once I finally saw some value from it and I never bothered with Argothian Enchantress because I couldn't suit them up with auras. I will for sure let you know once I've made some changes!
I've said it before and say it again, thank God I started magic when I did. I couldn't afford so many of the staples that I have if I hadn't been playing so long.
I run 8 different Enchantress or enchantment matters decks. My favourite is Tuvasa which is chock full of combos, in actual fact I call it my "Enchantress combo" deck as it wins virtually exclusively by all my opponents scooping...
Enchantress is a fun archetype, I like that enchantment decks are getting more potential commanders to utilize! Thanks for the video, the tuned up deck looks great!
@@CommanderMechanic Ya I play Kestia in the main. But tons of options. Tuvasa is good too. I just think the ramp is important to keep playing cards when you're drawing lots.
Privileged position is one I run in my aura deck to prevent stuff like bounce which kills aura decks along with at least a couple of enchantment/aura tutors so I know I can get specific ones if I'm in a position where I absolutely need a certain one
Tbh it's just drawing cards. It's a value engine for sure. But it's stale and it plays the same as putting karametra at the helm apart from the fact that you just draw more. If i had the option between sythis and for example Tuvasa, i would go for tuvasa. She is a slightly worse enchantress, but she can get quite big and still adds blue for more control/combo potential.
@@afspeellijstnaruto “Just drawing cards” is a sentence I never expected to hear from any Magic player ever. I’ve been playing since 2003 and consistently hear from everyone: “Drawing cards is the most powerful thing in Magic.” Especially coming from someone advocating for a version containing Blue, the primary color of extra card draw! It boggles my mind. Sythis is incredibly more impactful than Karametra. As someone that has run the deck under both, it’s not even close. Sythis costing 3 less mana to start is nothing to scoff at, plus the fact you have a true Enchantress in the command zone to guarantee that card draw is incredible. Karametra comes out AFTER most of your creatures, unless you’re running too many. Any creature that is in the deck should be an Enchantress-like effect or have some other massive advantage to warrant a spot over an Enchantment. I’ve tried numerous variations of Enchantress over the last 5 years in commander-Pillow Fort (Karametra), Voltron (Sigarda), Control (Tuvasa), Tokens (Rhys), Untap Value (Estrid), Voltron (Galea), Control (Sythis) and now Combo (Sythis). It’s currently focused on 5 infinite combos. I’ll double check my deck list is up-to-date and share it. The combos have given me a focus rather than just trying to Pillow Fort up and grind out a win through sheer attrition. Most Voltron versions struggled in multiplayer, though Sigarda usually did okay. In the past I would have a massive board and not be able to do anything with it but now the deck has multiple on-theme wincons and some surprisingly useful boardwipes that few decks seem to run but are perfect for my deck.
@@Nekophiliac I think I have not explained myself well enough. Don't get me wrong, card draw is amazing. But for me personally, that is not really what makes a game fun. It mostly makes a game faster if you draw your combo's/answerers more quickly. For me Sythis is one for the 99 BECAUSE she is too consistent, but not very exciting. Drawing cards is what she does, and that is all. At least Tuvasa draws a card, and grows bigger, and gives you excess to blue for something like Aura Thief / enchanted evening combo. For me Sythis is just a bit boring, that is all. Totally off topic: I want to play Griselbrand :c
I love my Kestia EDH deck. Hopefully auras will get soon as much love as equipments got in the recent sets. P.S Give us more auras with totem armor pls
Y i just traded my Sanctum weaver (i pulled 2) for an Estrid and Kestia. I rly want to make a 'go wide' deck with aura's. And mainly totem armor. My mate plays Tuvasa and removed almost every card from the precon (hence why was able to get estrid + kestia from him) and he plays stax + combo with Tuvasa now. I like Kestia better because she focusses a bit more on attacking. Which i find 'wholesome' magic :P
Feel like Archaeomancer's Map is a hard sell here, as the ramp is reliant on enemies and we have green if we want ramp, and enchantress is one of the archetypes that hurts for card draw the least.
This is missing some key cards that have no business missing in this deck. -Sterling Grove ~ Shroud + enchantment tutor -Serra's Sanctum ~ You just gotta buy one.. -Academy Rector ~ Fetch any enchantment from your deck into play.. Insane if you fetch 'omniscience'. Which will basically let you play your whole deck with enchantresses. -Bruna, Light of alabaster ~Insane for Aura decks, Can't really justify not having her over some of the listed creatures.
Tuvsa works well for volition as well, my old one had squrrel nest / earthcraft combo with estrid since she allowed me to untap enchanted permanents i ran stasis the deck got too scattered so i ripped it apart! Will definitely consider rebuilding the no stasis version!

YAY Kestia

I love Estrid as my commander. She ramps so hard thus allowing you to play more enchantment and draw more cards.
I like Estrid for overall utility, but I really like Kestia as a body in the CZ. Lots of good options for Enchantress commanders!

How does modern boggles effect the price of Argothan enchantress????
Might end up building this
Privileged position is one I run in my aura deck to prevent stuff like bounce which kills aura decks along with at least a couple of enchantment/aura tutors so I know I can get specific ones if I'm in a position where I absolutely need a certain one
There are like ten ramp land enchantments in bant. I'd recommend using that instead of artifacts in your ramp suite.
Since they all trigger your enchantresses
Would be interested in whether just having Sythis as your commander would be better than including blue. She's so powerful.

I had an enchanteress deck i couldnt figure out a wincon!
That's why this one leans in to voltron, and I recommended Sigil of the Empty Throne!
