I love the dark academia aesthetics of all of these items and they're so perfect to incorporate into a Halloween fall design. If you don't want to go full on Halloween, it's just dark and elegant. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much. I am def a Halloween fan and love scary movies, but not so much in decor. I don't really decorate for Halloween, but I love dark decor and like you said it could be incorporated into Halloween!
First time watching you. Really enjoyed it. Yes absolutely add in papercraft and any other skills you can demonstrate. The more skills you have the more options you have. Like one of the previous commenters , very happy to see techniques other than distressed white chalk paint,
Your projects turned out fantastic! It's so good seeing something besides white paint everywhere. My scrapbooking obsession turned into a mixed media one 20 yrs. ago and it's still going strong, especially with my love of all things Tim Holtz!
Oh Tim Holtz....he is definitely an inspiration! I love his vibe so much! Thank you so much for the comment and yes white can be very beautiful but soul sucking when creating. Thank you for watching and the comment!
This video is exactky what I have been searching for!!! Just fun diy, mixed media to thrift flip all sorts of things to make them look gow you want! Looove your vibe and style!
Hi Sharon, I very much like all these projects you created!! Such talent and I enjoy watching and learning how you create. Keep going with dark and grungy--it's so wonderful 😉😊
I love Halloween and I thrift vases, candlesticks, frames, bowls and of course anything already Halloween themed that catches my eye. It is what I do as a type of retail therapy that is not retail. It is a addiction and the thrill of the hunt and a great find are my reward. Also envisioning what I can do with my finds gets my creative juices flowing.
Loved the picture frame finds and their beautiful transition. Loved the mini drawers/cabinet too but perhaps in a different style. Now I'll be on the look out for a frame like that for my own dark and moody project. Thanks for the tips and ideas.
My little two year old granddaughter painted a bunch of paint colors on one of those thin 8 X 10 mat’s yesterday while sitting in my lap. All I did was squirt several dots of colors one at a time out on a paper plate. She used two different paper brushes. We used acrylic paints. She had so much fun. It took her about an hour to cover the whole canvas with paint. She did great. She got very little paint on her and me. A baby wipe got it off her hands easily and mine two. This morning when I got up and looked at the painting, all the colors mixed together and not expecting nothing but a mixture of paint, well, there was a mixture of paint; you could see the outline of a mushroom tipped over to the right with a long skinny stem. To the right of the mushroom you could see a faint capital letter “A”. That the is the letter of her first name. I was stunned,
Hello from Western Australia, loved what you did today. Thought I'd let you know that little black and white bird is native to Australia and called a Willy Wagtail. They are my favourite bird. They wag their tail feathers and it stirs up the insects for them.
Sista!!! Box obsession...check, we can be friends, lol. Thank you for the comment. I would love to see some of your boxes. If you want you can go to the Cozy Junk Studio business page and post your photos on it.
Wonderful ideas and execution. Well paced detailed instruction. Much prefer to listen to you narrate and explain your process rather than distracting music and unnecessary graphics. New sub here.
I love this style! I’m transitioning my bedroom from cottage farmhouse to dark forest moody. I appreciate the tips on alcohols. I’ve only used the spray but now I’m learning there are even more options. Tfs!
You're the third crafter I've heard say 'smoosh' lately. It's true, though...we smoosh things! I dig your originality and you really do some good work. Keep it up. 🥂
I'm searching all over Amazon for a cheap bird book now! 😂 Your projects are always so stunning... Wish I had your talent. I try, but never could I reach your skill or talent ❤❤❤
I absolutely love your box, but I feel like you covered all the other colors with the green. I love it even more with the green, so it doesn't bother me one bit! Your talent just amazes me and I wish you had more videos to watch, because I'm addicted 😊😊😊
Awe thank you and yes I loved that bird but that start white paper was killing it for me. I found my bird books at a thrift store but there are also some good cheap ones on Abe Books and Ebay, thank you for the comment!
I have found that when I lay the glass over the bird pic instead of the cardboard backing, I can see the pic through the glass. It helps me center the pic, just the way I want it to appear in the frame. 😊
Great ideas ! Just wished you would have gone a little bit more into detail on the close ups at the end of your segment. But, overall they're beautiful! Just like to seen them close up.
Lovely! I know that the original Mona Lisa was stolen at one point and then returned. So clearly, this is the true Mona Lisa, shrunk down to a smaller size via an unholy potion created by an undead mad chemist/art thief to hide its identity. He cleverly replaced it years ago with the almost perfect, normal sized replica shown in the Louvre today, but keeps this one, the scaled down original da Vinci, next to his apothecary chest and other priceless dark treasures. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I really enjoyed the video and your inspiring dark creations. Subscribed!
Thank you @joniallen6880 for replying, and yes they are Jamie Ray Vintage Stencils. If Aunt Bea's Attic doesn't have them you can go to Jamie's website and purchase them directly.
Where did you get the boxes of Tim Holts inks? This is why I love viewing other crafters channels. Get new ideas and techniques. You are my new best friend and I am going to subscribe to your channel. Love your diversity in crafting. I am so glad I checked out the Dark Academia that Indie posted on her channel. I am learning so much from different creators. New techniques and ideas. Thank you. 08/18/2023 Edit: Where are you located? State/City if you don’t mind. I am from Laurel, Mississippi. I just like to know where my friends are from so I can pray for them. Like the storm heading to California. Fire in Hawaii. We all need pray for rain due to the heat and dry spell. Sending prayers for everyone and their health.
I purchased the Inks from Joann's I think. I think you can get them on Amazon and the container is a Tim Holtz container. You can get them on Amazon. I am in North Carolina! Welcome and thank you for the comment!
Personally I watch flip videos the most because that’s what I use. I would not watch paper crafting just because I have no use for it. I really like all these flips, they are great.
I JUST discovered your channel... 🤯 in short, I'm a new subscriber now🙋🏽♀️ Also, where did you get the stencils you used on that cabinet? And, as a side note, a lot of the links you shared don't actually work. 🤷🏽♀️
Great question, I don't have one...Haha, but that is a great idea. I just grabbed what I have, but I do need to get one, thank you for the reminder and thank you for watching!
It depends, sometimes I use Matte Rustoleum Clear coat that I purchased from Amazon. If I want a shiny finish I use some left over Polycrylic Gloss because I have a lot of it from a home project. If it is going to be used for outside then I make sure it is a weather proof clear coat. If you want a brand name one from Aunt Bea's Attic that I love there are two; DIY Clear Liquid Patina and Fusion Matte Tough Top Coat. Hope this helps! Thank you for the question.
Almost everything in the US comes from China for sure thanks to our government, but when you buy from Temu, you are completely bypassing any US retailers trying to survive in our current inflation state.
Trust me I still spend plenty of money in the US and buy local and handmade as much as possible. China is a necessity for the US. I have no issues purchasing from other countries❤️. I also have no judgement for those who purchase US only. I understand and encourage everyone to do what they feel is best for them. Thank you for the comment …cheers!
So you are ok with everything being made in China and sold to American wholesalers on the cheap. But, you have a problem with non-wholesaler Americans purchasing the same products on the cheap from TEMU? I don’t understand.
She does support small businesses that’s why she shares an affiliate link to Aunt Beas, good grief I wonder how much you get that’s not American made you don’t even know trolling negatively is just as bad
I love the dark academia aesthetics of all of these items and they're so perfect to incorporate into a Halloween fall design. If you don't want to go full on Halloween, it's just dark and elegant. Thanks for sharing
Love her channel, reminds me of your Dark Academia ❤hope u have been well & hopefully staying cool ❤Connie
Thank you so much. I am def a Halloween fan and love scary movies, but not so much in decor. I don't really decorate for Halloween, but I love dark decor and like you said it could be incorporated into Halloween!

Why didn’t we get a close up of the box? Glad to watch something different than white chalk paint plus distress like so many other channels do.
Amen to that!!
Yes and iod tranfers
Ditto
Thank you so very much and I didn't realize there was no close up. I will be more mindful in the future!!!
Yes 💯%!
I love the process as much as the outcome. You dazzle me with your blur of blending and smooshing. Absolutely gorgeous, I can't pick a favorite.
Awe, thank you so much!!!

Thank you, me too!!!
You’d never ever know how that little cabinet started out❣️. Very cool🖤🖤🖤🖤🐈⬛

Girl....the back and forth with colors on the little drawers was making me dizzy, but you nailed it in the end. Beautiful piece.
Yes, to get the cool effects of layers it takes lots of experimenting and what I call fun!!! Thank you.
Beautiful work!
Thank you very much!

Hi There I live in NewZealand where did you get the apothecary stencils from please 🙂As I would love to purchase
Hello! I got them at this website Jami Ray Vintage; here is the link:jamirayvintage.com/products/apothecary-labels-2-stencil
How fun!❤
I JUST discovered your channel... 🤯 in short, I'm a new subscriber now🙋🏽♀️
Also, where did you get the stencils you used on that cabinet? And, as a side note, a lot of the links you shared don't actually work. 🤷🏽♀️
Thank you so much for subbing and I will re-check the links, thank you for mentioning that! Welcome!!!
Where did you get the picture frame
Thrift store, but I saw some similar at TJ Maxi and they weren't super expensive!
I apologize if I missed this but where did the stencils used on the box come from?
Jami Ray Vintage, she has her own website, they are called Apothecary Label Stencils. Thank you for watching and asking that question!
Why not have used a sea sponge rather than a brush when grudging?
Great question, I don't have one...Haha, but that is a great idea. I just grabbed what I have, but I do need to get one, thank you for the reminder and thank you for watching!
What do you use to seal your projects?

Thank you for the comment it really helps my channel.
