Romantic, legendary waterfalls in the Gottschlägtal

- Join us on our hike in the Black Forest, this time we were at the Karlsruhe ridge. It's been on my wish list for a very long time and I've always wanted to go.
The starting point of the tour is in the center of Ottenhöfen, right at the beginning of the tour you can already discover various cafés and restaurants, a stop at the end is definitely worth it. On the first 2 km you have an ascent of 200 m, but you are rewarded by various highlights such as the statue of the Queen of Peace and the great view of Ottenhöfen.
After another 1.5 km you come to the Gottschlägbach and walk it further and further up the river to the Edelfrauengrab and the waterfalls. They are simply wonderful, the water falls down over several cascades. In many places you can also rest, hang your feet in the water, even dogs are not neglected here.
Of course, it's only going up a few meters of altitude again until you get to the ridge. Here you can choose whether to run/climb over the ridge, the path there is declared with up to T4. Or you walk around the ridge like us, these paths are then declared with T1/T2.
The Karlsruher Ridge is an approximately 400-meter-long rock ridge near Ottenhöfen in the Black Forest, over which an alpine route with a climb leads, which is also referred to as the only via ferrata of the northern Black Forest.

Hallo Ihr beiden, ja die Tour ist echt mega, wenn wir die Hunde nicht dabei gehabt hätten, wären wir über den Grat gelaufen. ja der ist echt schon, man könnte ihn auch mit dem Bosensteiner Almpfad verlängern....je nach Jahreszeit und Wetter ist halt relativ viel los dort.... liebe Grüße Werner

Hallo ihr beiden, an dem Tag war es echt heiß, dadurch dass wir aber relativ viel Schatten ging es. Und später am Bach konnten wir sogar unsere Füße im Wasser abkühlen ….. freut uns sehr das euch die Tour gefallen hat… liebe Grüße Simone und Werner
