DUTERTE CITY: A DAVAO CITY FOODTRIP

- Davao City is one of the gems of Mindanao where plenty of unexplored adventures and places to visit awaits. Known as the Duterte city, it’s been dubbed as the safest city in the Philippines because of President Rodrigo Duterte’s tight management of the place when he was still a mayor of Davao. To this day, Davao has been known to have the most disciplined people with warm smiles, accommodating and hospital culture that also adds up to its rustic and laid back culture.
We spent a few days in Davao exploring the local food scene and immersed ourselves in the local lifestyle. Our trip takes us to the downtown area of Davao where we walked around and tried some local streetfoods. We visited Dencia’s, a known local restaurant that serves the best Goto/Lugaw in town, we also looked at how the Davao food scene is like, and enjoyed Durian as our dessert.
(Some pricing I mentioned on our meals are wrongly converted to US dollars, my apologies for the wrong math. My brain isn't working! :D )

Great video! Really liked the way you described the food. We were in Davao City in July and loved it. So much to eat and explore! Also filmed a video at Sana’s Kabawan. Only regret not spending more time, but will be back!

P 750.00 in 2018 should only be around $15.00. Unless you didn't mean US Dollars.

Doon pag season ng durian, nagkalat yan sa buong kahabaan sa kalye ng San Pedro at doon na namin kinakain sa San Pedro Street at para mawala ang amoy sa kamay mo ay doon ka maghuhugas ng kamay mo sa balat ng durian, at nangangamoy durian ang buong paligid. Ganon din kung season ang rambutan, lanzones at mangga. Noon yun mga 80s, ewan ko lang ngayon
