4 years later, and the closest we have to an HG Gundam MK-III is the Seltsam, a kit based on the MK-III. edit: ...and the upcoming Tertium, which is basically the "good" version of the Seltsam.
This guy looks really cool, and it's great that obscure or giant mobile suits are getting released in this line, so they're affordable, unlike MGs. And for those that are complaining about not getting MGs of these, coughcoughthatoneguythatsoneverybodysreviewsandisconstantlycomplainingaboutmgsyouknowwhoyouarecoughcough, that's not the point. These are meant to be more affordable, so the few fans of these obscure ones can get a 1/100 scale release without Bandai doing more work for a MG.
Well that's the point of the RE/100 line, they take MSes that aren't likely to get an MG and make a 1/100 scale that requires less engineering and such.
I was on the roof for this kit due to the lack of video reviews and the design not being all that appealing to me. Well congrats you just killed my wallet alongside Amazon for putting MG Sazabi Ver. Ka on sale (I'm gonna immediately build this once it arrives cause Sazabi can wait)
@@Amatsaru29 MSV stuff is not Non-Canon. In fact, some of them have gone on to appear in animations (see the Battle of Torrington in Gundam Unicorn). Only time something is non-canon is if it's directly contradicted in an anime.
I think the shield would maybe look better if held in front of the mobile suit, so you can't see how far off the arm it is. Though then that'd only look good if you don't have a beam saber out. Either way, I kind of dig this kit, it stands out to me.
I think the main practical advantage of an inner frame is that it minimizes seam lines. You don't necessarily need it for good articulation or balance.
I assume that the Nightingale came first because it is already popular as far as obscure designs go. Even if this is a better representation of the line, the Nightingale was going to get more attention. I'm convinced now: I'm definitely getting one of these kits. I'm not sure which one though, they're at the back of a long list. Also: they MUST make a RE100 Efreet!
***** is the RD Aries (I like the Aries) worth buying at 33.37 USD (and Japanese based sites aren't an option because of the way google wallet works) or should I get an RD strike dagger for a lower price of 26.33 USD (inc. shipping)? EDIT: now that I think about it im just gonna buy the Aries as its a better value (easy transformation, 3 weapons) than even a cheap dagger and I already have plenty of GM type MS anyways in gunpla form (including two as of writing unbuilt HGUC GM customs and a basic HGUC RGM-79)

Man, i love it, is the perfect combination of Hyaku Shiki (MS That i love) and Zeta Gundam (My second favorite MS, first is MK III ) and a little bit of Gundam MK II (I love that suit, is classic and looks good) im serious, i love this Bad and Big Boi

Love this suit. My first RE kit, I love it. The GP04 was great too!

The V crown on the head was kind of anyoing, didn't stick very well unless you glue it.
