      @@GeorgeAustersdo the short axle “stubs” connected to the diff (the flange that the axle bolts to) just pull off? How are they removed? Thanks!

    I am having a problem with my BMW E60 I do not know if it is the driveshaft are the diff what a nice is coming from one of them

    Great video (both parts) George. What symptoms led you to refurb the differential? I have an E60 550i on 128k miles with a couple of drivetrain niggles that I'm trying to pinpoint.

    I think the diff guy was being polite saying the planet gears dont often need changing. He meant unless you boot it all the time......yes.

    On the end of video you said that now you dont have a strange noises from the diferential or from wheels.
    I have bmw f10 and I have problem with the noise in the car then I drive above 100km/h. I have the new tires, all 4. What do you think, what could be my problem?

    Have you used Mannol 75w 90 gear oil in the new differential?

    Are there any noises or vibrations with the Powerflex bushings? Can you feel some difference while driving?

      Haha mine has too. What are your symptoms? Mine makes a clunking noise everytime I change gear at low speeds- quoted £700 for a full refurb and fit near wolverhampton..

    Hey, i have the powerflex as well. But I got a howling noise at 80km/t when letting off on the gass.
    Dident hear it with the original bushings.
    Did you hear some noises from the diff when changing to powerflex?

    Hi George, as mentioned earlier - that refurbished diff look just niice. I wish I would have someone like Mike. Curently due to lack of proffesionals I think I will do it on my own and learn something new. By the way what brand of 75w90 do you use. Just to know if its the same like mine E91 325 XI. My both diffs use Ravenol 75W90 (fulfill BMW SAF-XO), transmission Ravenol 75w80 (MTF-LT2) and transfer case Ravenol TF-0870. Keep doing great man!

    I have rhythmic growling noise and some vibrations at 50-70 mph on my e90 / 116k , bmw dealer diagnosed worn out rear diff internal parts , another bmw specialist diagnosed rear wheel bearing , who do I believe ?

      BMW dealer in Bromley was wrong , issue solved with rear wheel bearing replacement at a BMW specialist garage , do not believe main dealers as they want to rip you off !!

    Well done George, told you it was a 2 man job 🤣 do you find you get a little diff whine now with the poly bushes installed when giving full throttle? I tend to get a little but from what I’ve heard on forums it’s normal with those bushes

    Shouldn't you tighten up everything more once everything is put together rather than leaving the drive shaft out. N tightening like you did
