If I'm not mistaken, they were replaced about a year ago, just before we purchased the bus. I'll have to double check though. I'm hoping not to have to replace them, however. I should avoid looking. 🤣
Some of your autumn colors are amazing such as that one leaf you positioned in your hand that was yellow orange to what appeared to be purple. Your overnight temps have dropped quite a bit and the air is damp so I'm on Lenny's side, I wouldn't want to start up either just because you wanted to. Congratulations to you for having the how-to knowledge and adapted wiring to pare down the lithium electrics to a compatible voltage and share it with the lead-acid to bring Lenny's predominate electrics to sufficient level. Sam and Colt sure love their outings and are so energetic, dry or wet. Especially Sam, wherever that ball goes she's going for it! If it were me on a cold morning; "You threw it out there, you dive in and go get it". I do hope Colt's ear is fine in a few days. I hated earaches as a child, not the same as Colt's malady but the same atomic area affected. I'm sure you've already gone through the steps to verify condition of the lead-acid pair and serviced them but is it now prudent for you to have one of those stand alone emergency battery boosters on hand for an emergency? Carry it in the Ram when traveling with the trailer in the future.
Isn't it beautiful? And no joke, he's mad about the cold. 😂 Thanks! I'm very glad it was just that easy, pop on a few cables and then order a few more pieces to make it easier in the future. I have no clue how these dogs don't mind the cold the way that I do. I understand the fur is nice and insulating, but sheesh! Sam will be ecstatic to play while also shivering from the cold. 🥶 I'll show my solution for this issue once it arrives!
If Sam still has an open wound I would keep that girl out of ponds and streams as you never know what might be growing in there. Nice dogs, fun video. That is one great park too. Where do you plan on keeping the bus after you get your new rig?
Oh yeah, no open wounds on Sam! It's a great park indeed and they have a surprising amount of wonderful volunteers to keep it so lovely. I suspect we will send the bus to a storage lot for a period of time until we have a better alternative!
What did they go up to once the bus started? Since it would have started charging and sending power back into the lithium batteries. Also if you can get a small/skinny panel you could have a dedicated solar panel for maintain the starter batteries.
Oooh that's scarey to lose battery power. Does your vehicle insurance cover roadside assistance (mine is 15.00 add on amount for six months compared to outrageous triple A fees)? I just added for tire changing/etc roadside for the Scamp as well, since it was hardly anything costwise. Because I'm not sure I want to deal with that by the side of the road the way people drive now, and I'm not a great "tinkerer fix-it" type like you are. Great to see the doggies!! For a second I didn't realize you were doing the bathing, since you didn't have your hat and glasses on!! LOL!
I know our truck insurance does, I don't believe our bus coverage will since the bus is more than 15 years old... That would be good to triple check though! You just reminded me of those adorable little Scamp tires. The first time I saw those in Walmart - rims and all - I cracked up laughing! The entire wheel can be replaced for less than a regular vehicle tire. 😂
No heater not even a little off the shelf space heater on level 1 so like 600 watts or something. I know you have that 3k inverter and enough batteries at least as an emergency supplement for below 40f temps(or something like that)
Happy dogs 🐶 🐾happy days! The change of seasons in the PNW are always beautiful - Spring and Fall are my favorites!
🐹 🚙
Good morning ! Looks like the pups enjoyed their spa day 😂 Glad Sam is feeling better too. Great video ! 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
Everyone but Colt enjoyed it 😂 I think he's coming around, slowly but surely. Thanks!! 🤘🇺🇸
Diesel cold starts are so incomparable to anything else!! How old are your batteries?
I didn't even think of that.

@@CozyLivingMachine I’d check on that date. And also the CCA of them 👍🏼
Ya might know already but the CCA reduces as the battery is aging and cycling. Probably not entirely an issue since you mentioned they’re a year old

Trees look so nice, the ones in my yard have not started to change yet.
Interesting! Normally by now almost all of our leaves would be gone, but it's been quite warm later into the year. I don't mind it one bit!
That was a nice dog washing station. Very cool.
Sure was! How did your 400 towing experience go?!
@@CozyLivingMachine I made it! Did a one day trip. Thanks for asking.

Lenny just needed some love and attention just like the dogs did.
Poor guy, he's probably felt a bit neglected 😂

I believe they were sitting around 13.0V once started, though that was using the vague meter on the dash, so it's tough to say for sure!

We could probably do a tiny heater, though I figure we could use the heat pump in the A/C, that seems to work decently well also!
@@CozyLivingMachine forgot about that, but its good to have
Were you ever tempted to rip off a little piece of that Duck Jerky for yourself? I'm not saying I would... I'm not saying I wouldn't either.
😂😂 if it's good enough for my dogs...
Was anyone else concerned after not hearing from Joel & Emma for a couple days?
We're alive!! 😎🤘
