I see splash zones more like the ones where you just get soaked by standing in a certain place and the crowd reacting. You got that a lot in the Soaked expansion of RCT3, where guests would respond to being drenched (and you had loads of opportunities to do so, like certain rides that had water cannons or having paths next to water rides that would splash onto the guests). I always loved the fact the guests reacted to that. Or maybe it's both that and what you mentioned!
the cannonball loop joke sent me. Fun fact, after too many people said they got concussions on it, they put extra padding, but riders would come out with lacerations. when they opened it took look, there was a buncha teeth lodged in the padding
I didn't want to do a drop slide, I specifically said no drop slides... But I saw a lovely water chute slide at the back of the volcano in Volcano Bay and decided to go for it.... Several thousand steps later I arrived at the second highest slides in the park and found, to my horror, that they were both drop slides.. Still struggling to catch my breath, I looked back at the mountain of steps and decided to go with the slide instead. Still digging my trunks from my nethers.
It would be amazing to have: 1. Two platform management with an alternating switch track between parallel platforms allowing for double throughput. 2. Separate loading / unloading zone 3. Unloading finishes before all passengers exit through the one small gate. For example mirror the entrance gates to the other side to speed up dispatch. 4. Allow us to treat coasters as transport rides with multiple stations on the loop. It would be a separate ride mode. 5. Good track smoothing that keeps the heartline of the track. 6. Dynamic ride ops: Brings more trains on the track when the que gets long. There could be trigger markers on the que to bring on extra trains from the depot. 7. Coaster depot / maintenance building. 8. Custom drop, swing, roll, switch track. Could have a track position 1 and 2 and the sim animates between them in any axis or orientation. 9. Better track support modeling (it should not just disappear if there is an obstruction, it should find a path around it or link to other supports. 10. Bring planet zoo into planet coaster. We could have a hybrid coaster park / zoo. Or coasters going through exhibits. Comment if you agree!
Just planco with slides and expansions( Food trucks, new coasters, etc.) Just an update. Not saying its not going to be good, jus sayin it feels a little too similar.
My two main wishlist items that haven’t been confirmed yet are popcorn and churro stands. Especially since we have the kiosks now it would be so cool to make popcorn carts like the ones at Disney. Maybe in a dlc?
I want the ability to create parades. Like maybe have a gate and you plop on one end and create a route to another gate that would be the end of the parade and you add floats and performers
lol absolutely my first thought with the drop tracks thing was they just thought the question was about dive coasters but we shall see. at least i’ll be pleasantly surprised if i’m wrong 😅
One of the things I noticed was the Shadows and AO. IF, my keen eye is correct, and the engine is using RTX......... We could be making Dark Rides without having to bury them in 20 foot of Soil!. Theres more, but I have to do some digging before I open my Yap.
I cannot WAIT to see what you build in this game!! I did miss most of these, and the more I see the more I think it really does look like this is going to be one brilliant game. (So that's me not leaving the house til next Spring then .... 😆)
i keep saying this and getting attacked for it, but from what we've been shown PC2 looks to be heavily water-park centered. which is great if that's what you want, but then why release it as a PC game and not a separate IP like Planet WaterSlide or something? yes obv there's coasters in the game, we see them in the teaser and screen shots. but the main focus has been the waterslides. even the themes are all Water Park related: Tropical, Resort, Aquatic, etc. Are these all in addition to the original themes like fantasy, future, cowboy, spooky (which imo are mandatory for any theme park sim) or are these the only themes that will come with the base game? Obviously time will tell and assuming it doesn't get postponed, it should be released in the next few months.
No attacking here. I think it's a legitimate concern. I assume (hope) that water parks are just the big selling point, so are taking up most of the initial announcement, but we'll still see a healthy roster of Rides/Coasters. Heck, it's in the name still
The optimist in me is inclined to agree with this assessment. We have limited information to go off, and waterpark support is definitely the most marketable selling point. We do know coasters aren't bring ignored (e.g. Surf Coaster) and QOL features have been shown with likely more yet to be seen. Losing scenery themes would be a bummer, but waterparks and engine improvements alone justify a new release imo.
I LOVE that there's a vegan stall! I wish that guests would be fussier with food and drink stalls. The guests in Planet Zoo seem perfectly happy with nothing but coffee and hotdogs - they should have preferences I think, and get a happiness boost when their cravings are satisfied.
I think it's definitely an iterative expansion. Similar to how RCT2 built on RCT. But that's ok with me. PlanCo is looking OLD now, I'm happy for them to start over with a newer engine build
There's a food truck blueprint in Planet Zoo, so it's likely that is one as well. They added it when they introduced "counter-only" kiosks.
NOICE
Can we normalise this style and speed of "reveal" stuff? This is also perfect, to the point, engaging... You sir, get a like. haha
I'd just finished editing this when I saw your 2 minutes custom coaster vid. Let's start a movement! Lol
@@Geekism sign me up. Short content that doesn't milk our audiences. Winning!

This is probably more likely... a man can dream though!
I LoVeD the RCT3 water cannons!
I think that if drop tracks are added, Switch tracks are likely gonna be added as well
You'd think so... let's hope!

Insane that it ever existed...
they brought the verticle loop back but this time you had to ride inside a box that looked like a coffin.
Bruh
@@Geekisminsane that action park existed at all. Pretty much that whole place was a death trap 😅

Very much feels like PlanCo 1.5, but honestly I'm ok with thay
5:29 YES. YES PLEASE. This alone would hook me into the game for days on end
Right!?
My two main wishlist items that haven’t been confirmed yet are popcorn and churro stands. Especially since we have the kiosks now it would be so cool to make popcorn carts like the ones at Disney. Maybe in a dlc?
Oh yeah! We did get popcorn machines and Churro stalls in PC1 DLC, so finger's crossed they come over!
I want the ability to create parades. Like maybe have a gate and you plop on one end and create a route to another gate that would be the end of the parade and you add floats and performers
I think with scenery attaching to rides it's 'doable', we'll see!
I hope they make the management/simulation aspect better, like the first RCT games and the first theme park game.
I wouldn't hold your breath. Frontier make pretty games. I'd strongly recommend Parkitect!
This will get you to 100 k
Again! lol
greAT UPDATE!
Thanks!
I'd love it if you could do some tutorials again once the game is out and you've worked out all the mechanics! :)
That's the plan!
Semi-scripted content like this really shows off your charisma and comedic sense Jonti :)
Thank you! Had a lot of positive feedback over it, may look at adding some more to my other stuff :)
Frontier take note. You have made him so excited that Jonti “cannot word.”
game make me not word good
I love this game, all these years later still love the creativity and come back to it regularly
I've really enjoyed being back in it. Can't wait for the sequel!

I'm excited for drop tracks, give me Planet Coaster Th13teen
i am eating up every single PC2 video right now, on the edge of my seat waiting for new announcements lol i can’t wait!
Not long now!
I imagine that Misere Flat Ride from RCT3 might appear in Planet Coaster 2 in one of the new DLC Packs.
You're on top form today Jonti! Fantastic video!
Thanks Moomin! Been binging some of your stuff recently, loving it!
I really hope that Frontier will integrate PC-2 and PZ-2 together somehow.

I’m happy that the lifeguards won’t be lifeless like on RCT3
I think they are doing stuff with intermin cause in the key art is the water coaster with the lift that's at energylandia in poland.
Nice spot!
@@Geekism I hope it carries over to the launched log flume and the rapids.
