Today I’ll show you how to make Car Freshies with vent clips! These are so fun to make and they smell great! You can get a good 4-6 weeks of scent out of these depending on the temp and humidity. These work great in closets, cars, gym lockers, or hang them in a room for a safe, flameless scent that lasts and lasts.

I started this video and got to where she adds the mica and I’m literally HOLLERING “Too much mica!!!” Then she pulled that rose out of the mold and I was like “oh...” 😳😳😳 I am definitely using sub-par mica😂😂 cuz those are gorgeous 😍
Lol thank you 😊
Great tutorial..heres a few additional tips..an old cheap iron from thrift store or hot knife works great instead of scissors that hurts your hands! Cure beads like candles if you want freshies to last long..dont bake them as soon as they are dry..they wont last long and customers complain..let them cure for a month then make freshies they last 9 months! Of course depends on scent how strong they will be some are stronger than others..
How beautiful! I don’t make freshies but my sister does so I’ve shared the video with her.
Thank you for watching and sharing!
Thank you for showing I’m just starting out making freshies
You are so welcome!
These are so cute. Love the rose.
Thanks so much 😊
Life the vent clip idea. I will have to get some. Thank you for sharing.
❤️🌈❤️ Thank you for showing it in the car! Also I have the rose mold ! Inspired.
Thank you 😊
That's so cute!! I wanna try making those!!
Thank you
Thanks😊
Welcome 😊
I love this video!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Southern girl tip: do not use a sun shade in the south with auto freshies. We live in Texas where it is very hot, My daughter did this and hers melted. I think that the sun shades actually make it hotter in the car and cause the freshie to melt.
Good to know! Thank you 😊
Hi can you leave a link for the vent clips and the oils thanks
All materials are always linked for you in the description box.
Great video...do you bake these in your regular oven or did you buy an oven/toaster oven for craft purposes? Just wondering if the scent would stay in the oven that I cook in. Thanks for the video!
The scent dissipates really quickly so I just use my regular oven
i’m curious, why do you fully melt it? i’ve seen other people only melt it just enough so that it sticks together.
Where do you get the little spoon to mix the mica with?
The stir sticks are linked in my description box.
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thank you.
That's cool. How long does the scent last?
Thank you
Which vent clips did you get that were able to go into the oven?
The ones linked in the description box.
What part of Washington are you in? Do you ever do in person classes?
Western Washington and I’m sorry, I don’t
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thank you! I’m in western Wa as well. Close to Silverdale. If you ever do in person classes I would love to attend. Thank you for your tutorials. They are very helpful.
I went through the whole process of picking stuff out, entering info, only to get to checkout and find out they dont ship outside the US...😭
Oh no!
Why don’t you color while you let the beads absorb the scent?
So I can do a lot of colors from one batch of I want to and color saturation is usually the same
Does your supplier uses peanuts in make their oil? Only asking have a child allergic to nuts and will go into anaphylactic shock
I they do not
So anyone in flower make these? I wonder how it holds up in the heat
They do fine in the heat. It will flex before it melts, it’s not like wax
Hi, just curious... about how long does the scent last on these?
4-6 weeks. Months if you use them in a closet inside
Where can i find the vent clips
It’s listed in the top of the description box
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thnx
🙌🏻
Thank you!
can any one be honest how long do the smell last
4-6 weeks. if it's super hot in the environment it won't last as long. if you keep them in the house they'll last a couple months. i don't know how much more honest that can be?? i use these all the time and that's how long mine last
It doesnt melt?
no, it's not wax, it's like a plastic
Do these ever run out of smell?
yes after about 4-6 weeks
@@FlynnSistersBoutique does that include their shelf life?
If you were to sell them how much would you charge? I want to start my own business the one thing I don't know is how to Price my items
You have to calculate the cost of your materials and then decide what you want to get paid per hour on top of that. Plus shipping materials and price.
I forgot about beads, I used to do this back in the 90’s. I don’t like doing colors.
Thank you for watching!
Can something be adhered to the back of the freshie so the color wouldn't stain anything it touches like parchment paper?
Yeah probably but there’s enough space, and if a little bit touches it’s not a big deal
Love your content and tutorials. Thanks so much for continuing to showcase your craft
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for another helpful video! But really I want to shout out how amazing your makeup looks in this!
oh, thank you!
Super great idea❣️ Using the vent clips 😱😍 Thank You SO Much for sharing and breaking up the week with yet another wonderful & informative tutorial 🥰💞
You are so welcome!
I think the rose mold looks nice with the pokey bits maybe because they have thorns
Hi great tutorials ….just wondering what to do if my aroma beads do not dry in 2 weeks is there something I’m doing wrong
I’ve had some scents that take 3 weeks or so to dry. You can add a 1-2 tablespoons of dry beads to help too
I love the vent clips!! I didnt know I could get these! Thank you
Glad you like them!
Jessica, great video. Love the vent clip idea. Also cute shirt!
Thanks so much!! Glad you liked it!
Your shirt!😍😍
Really interesting info!
LOVE these...just scored molds from JoAnn's Easter clearance...and watching this AS I'm bagging and tagging about 250 freshies for a show this weekend. LOVE Peanut...they are the ONLY place I'll order my beads from...they are AMAZING....and I have to agree with you on the True Rose...last batch I did...wow...I may keep a couple of these for myself
Thank you!! You have to keep a few for yourself!
Nice work
Thank you
U are so beautiful ❤️ thank you for the help. God bless you and your business
Thank you so much 💓
love the roses btw.
Definitely need a shirt like that. Too sweet.
I love it!
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I agree! Where do I get this shirt?
Thabk you for another great video!!!
If making for myself, would it be an option to reuse the clip after the freshie scent has evaporated? Or once baked thats it, one time use?
Yeah you probably could
I love these, they are beautiful ❤️. I live in the desert and it gets very hot in the summer. Do you think these will keep form during the high heat months?
They should as long as you use a sun shade. They’re not wax so they’re just going to soften a bit before they melt
Can these be made in your regular kitchen oven or do you need to make them in a "craft oven" ?
I make them in my regular oven. The scent dissipates really quickly
Holy cow that color is loud and I'm loving it!!!!! Again, great video Jessica
Thank you
love Stayfreshwithpeanut products
Me too 🥰
Did you make your shirt? I love it. Can you do a tutorial if you did it yourself please
No I got it from Marleylilly.com
I've watched before but love rewatching your videos ❤️
thanks for watching them!
WHERE DID U GET THE VENT CLIPS FROM. I 💖 ALL OF UR CREATIONS!
Thank you. You can find the supplies i use linked in the description box of each video. There are discount codes for you there as well.
Omg I love it would love to make these. Thank you for the share ❤️ I’m in Florida I wonder if it’s to hot 🥵
You're welcome! Give it a try!
I started in Florida and am now doing them and living in Texas. Vent clips and car tin candles sell WAYYYY better than the mirror hanging freshies down here because they don’t necessarily melt so much as they get soft enough for the elastic to break thru and let them fall onto your dash where they definitely can melt. My advice is vent clips, & buying 4oz candle tins off of Amazon and making your scents in those “car candles” cuz they come with lids and some even have the slide open lids where you never have to remove the whole lid just slide it to “open”...that way if it gets too hot one day they’re melting inside the tin; some have clear lids and I like to slap my brand sticker with the scent right over the clear part😉
I’m in FL and I have a freshie hanging in my car and haven’t had any melt or anything so far 🥴
I would have no idea what to charge for these?
Maybe check out some Etsy listings?
Where do you biy the vent clips? I bought some but they were to short and would not clip on the cents at all. What size? I do not want them to touch the plastic at all. I know some fragrances will wat plastic. Thank you for your videos.
I got these from Stay Fresh with Peanut and I don’t know the size as I think they only have be size
@@FlynnSistersBoutique Ok, Thank you so much for responding. I have bought others but they would not fit on truck vents, to short. I did try on anything else as I wanted it gir my truck. :)
So pretty!! I'm going to have to try these too!! 💖
Have Fun!
My freshies always turn out kind of soft/flexible, maybe a little more flexible than one of the big pink school erasers. Is this normal? I got all my materials except for micas from stay fresh with peanut. Thanks.
What a great idea so pretty and smell good
Thanks so much 😊
Hi! I absolutely love these...any suggestions on how to display if I don't do clips and want to offer them as home freshies?
I can't wait to order and put these in my store
They're great! Thanks for watching Rachel!
I wholesale these @islandfreshies on fb/ Instagram 🛍☺️
So pretty 🌹
Thank you! 😊
I’m not sure if anyone has asked this but where did you get your shirt from? It’s really cute. ☺️
thanks! its from MarleyLily.com
I purchased the same vent clips and when I put them in oven at same temp and times they melted together. What should I do?
you can pull them apart with a butter knife and they're fine
Why do you color them before baking wouldn’t the dye stick to your figers when it’s warmed in the car ?
No they don’t. The color is bonded and does not deposit onto your hands
@@FlynnSistersBoutique neat I’ll have to try that thx for the great content keep it up
Hey Jessica…where did you purchase the font from? I know the name but can’t find it. Thanks
Disregard that question, I found it.
Oh good! Thank you ☺️
Why not use essential oils?
They won’t be absorbed into the beads like fragrance oils and they can’t be baked the same either
