It's all in experimenting with different pieces of forge and finding the best ones of the job. Try using different parts of pieces like only the top of a block or rotate a rock on it's side. That is how you learn to find different aesthetics that you never knew you could make.

@jenniepar1979 its fairly easy to make maps. a good idea is set your rotations to 15 degrees to that the item will ALWAYS be even. And if the item are not 100% where you want them to be, use the "edit coordinates" button for the item and that too will make it like 1000% even.
modded resources maps are not going on mutliplayer if your mission is to get your maps in MP but if you want to use them for customs then thats no problem
Dear Oakly HiDef: Every time I see your maps, I am amazed at their expanse. How is this possible? Not only are you able to make HUGE structures, but are able still to focus on aesthetics. How are you able to save your resources? Do you have modded resources? Would you suggest that?

Will the weapons respawn?
for halo 4 343 will have to make more colors for the forge objects because in halo reach its just all grey it looks boring

@SquirrelStopMotion he uses inexpensive peices and i know (because i've met him) that he does not mod and will not even consider a moded map
an easier way of using the sword is mele instead of pressing the shoting button
