that map looks totally awesome
Many catapult designs have that as well. The main reason the trebuchet exists is to fling bigger and more rocks at castle walls as a sort of flak.

why is it that when i searched youtube for awesome forge maps these never came up I only found them because someone I subscribed to liked one
for the catapults i edited were they weren't phased i placed a fusion coil under it so it launched them
there were no catapults in Helms Deep, at least not in the movie. i haven't read the books...yet. Awsome map Oakly!!!
Well to be more exact, the word "Melee" comes from Medieval France. A "Melee" was a large (in today's terms) team deathmatch between knights in a competition. These matches usually consisted of close quarters combat with swords, maces, etc. Melee was eventually adopted by the English, in which it gained the definition of hitting a target. Melee is still pronounced "May-lay", and it has not been Anglicized.

@xDarkxAssasinx yeah I was gonna try and make the big ballista/ crossbow engines they had in the movie but that was pretty impractical so we went with the catapult/ trebuchet approach

@xDarkxAssasinx yeah sure that would be cool. AJYusi and I are done with our next LOTR map which will be osgiliath and after that we may do another map. Maybe we could work with you guys to add your map to the series. We are trying to use the same gametype for all of the maps

@adeckofcards77 Duel commentaries is something we've had in mind for awhile actually. Until recently has that actually became possible. So sure, expect a duel commentary in the near future.

Actually that is a catapult. Trebuchet's are built more like spire's with a counter balance on the bottom and then the launcher in the air. Also they're a lot bigger.
pay attention, the thing has a counterbalance. Its more of a trebuchet in the middle of firing.

When was this made because I made something very similar to this called Castle Battle and Castle Battle 2. Needle rifle for archer and sword for well sword but I had horses (mongoose) and a chariot (warthog).

Lols. Do you not get it. This is one of Gimli's lines in Lord of the Rings. I believe its when the bridge in the Mines of Moria is breaking apart. Shortly followed by Gimli's line "Not the beard!!"
i have a other lotr scene that you can make is minis terith sorry if i spelled it wrong, but anyway and make it a invasion map where in like phase 2 you have the invading people climb up huge ladders and invade it from the top and also invade it from the bottom
u sould really make a forge tips and tricks for the catipults for sure
They should replace the catapult with Wraiths, uncapable to move from their spot. That would give a better realism!

They need to make it so taht there's a version of forge that thae stuff you build can work (like the catapults actually shoot)

if you guys do the battle of minas tirith then give the attackers a banshee (representing the dragon and if possible make it unable to shoot and only kill people by splattering them) and during the third phase, half the defenders should spawn far away, but should have enhanced speed and power (representing the ghosts)

according to google it's more like meh-lee. but it did mention things like may-lay, may-lee, meh-lee, etc. personally, i think it's an opinion kind of thing.

its kinda of a opinion word where different cultures or places say in differently like some places in the world when they say the word say the word american it sounds like americon or american and the can part sounds like cane and others say it normally it just depends
