    Bought a 68' GTO 1 month after my 17th B Day in 1992 for $4500. Still have it. Looks better than ever.

    I was visiting my uncle, and he has an 04 viper, right as he pulls outta the garage I hear a big V8 fire up drowning out the viper. Ended up being a gto judge, and we raced it afterwards. Fucking classic man, fucking classic car.

    1:05 68 Cutlass is one of the underrated car in the looks ..i mean people didn't noticed how badazz it looks from front and back...i superloved its slim taillights just how stacked between bumper and body..

    This is the longest car commercial I’ve ever seen.
    Or just another episode of gta but I’m real life

    Everyone talks about the judge. I remember the 04.. I was in 5th grade when this movie came out and all I wanted In the world was an 04 GTO. A few years ago I ended up buying an 06 6 speed GTO. It was a great car. But life happened

  • @DC322
    @DC322 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I remember this movie. It was like a promo for that 2004 GTO when it came out. Shame that the Judge was destroyed for the fun of it. SMH.

    I'm gonna go ahead and assume that that was a clone. Or at least tell myself that, so that I'm not tempted to hunt down and kill the director of this terrible film.

    • @thelasthallow
      @thelasthallow 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      i was going to say, it seemed to start out strong with the judge but then when it flashes forwards like what 40 years? the story looks utter dog shit on a stick, and i am guessing its a clone but i bet the budget was stupidly small as well because it seems they are doing everything they can to not damage the cars.

    • @Sheehy223
      @Sheehy223 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      thelasthallow If you think this is Shit, you should see some of the other utter garbage on this Channel. Mainly retarded 80's movies where they destroyed Muscle cars for no other reason than because they were cheap.

    • @thelasthallow
      @thelasthallow 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      MaxTheKanuck yeah i watched a few others after this, how many shitty driving movies did they make in the fucking 80s anyways?

    Not too sad the '70 Challenger in Vanishing Point turned into a Camaro as it hit the bulldozers at the end. But even though I'm a Mopar fan, I don't like to see any classic car destroyed, but you have to think, these cars were a dime a dozen back in the day.

    • @CaptainFALKEN
      @CaptainFALKEN 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Right. These kids don't get it. The origin of even drifting and all motorsports was American muscle. Far more movies in the 60s and 70s of muscle cars being crashed than films today even having sportscars. Sportscars were never scarce in the 70s and were always about on the streets. Today, you'd be lucky to see any kind of classic car at all on a regular day driving past you down the road.

    • @MaNu-pp1em
      @MaNu-pp1em 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      True. The Dukes smashed dozens of Chargers back then they were buyable for 2000$ and there were thousands of em. But if a Movie is produced.today or like ten years ago its fucked up to use a classic. Even when its a wreck there were some salvageable parts on it

    • @DC322
      @DC322 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chrysler didn't want the Challenger to be destroyed during the final scene of Vanishing Point. It was brand new when they were filming.

    Oddly enough the later model GTO, when they customise it, ALL of the custom parts are from its HSV cousin. In Australia, the basic V8 model is known as the Monaro CV8. Holden's turner wing HSV had two versions, the GTO coupe and the Coupe 4. The latter is an AWD version. Both look a lot more aggressive than the stock Pontiac GTO, and it truly surprises me that Pontiac didn't ask Holden for permission to use the HSV body kits, as they would have sold a lot more of them

    • @mrheyfuckoff1
      @mrheyfuckoff1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      None of the parts are HSV parts. Although the bumper does appear to be a V8 Supercar Holden VY Commodore bumper modified to look more Pontiac-ish

    And in this movie how many 69 GTO jumped over cliff and gone to trash or crusher???

  • @rsscarr
    @rsscarr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I really hate the fact that everyone says "oh I hope it was just a clone" I don't even hope for that. I don't care if it's a clone or not. They just took a piece of American car history and threw it off a cliff for nothing. Like anyone cares about this two bit piece of crap movie

    • @CarChaseWonderland
      @CarChaseWonderland  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Or maybe they bought a Le Mans at a salvage yard for 200 bucks before a shredder would have destroyed it, painted it Orbit Orange and thru that off a cliff. But that would make to much sense.

    • @steveferguson6809
      @steveferguson6809 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it's carousel red

    • @rsscarr
      @rsscarr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Steve Ferguson yeah nobody really understands the gto colors for some reason. They didn't even use orbit orange until the 70 gto. This car is, like you said, carousel red.
      Orbit orange= yellowy orange(school bus color kinda)
      Carousel red= pretty much the same as hugger orange

    • @rsscarr
      @rsscarr 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya wanna see orbit orange then look at my videos. I used to have one and I still have an old video of it in my garage

    • @Mechknight73
      @Mechknight73 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yet it also demonstrated that Pontiac should have asked Holden to use their HSV body kit in America. The custom body panels are all standard on the Australian HSV GTO. HSV is the tuner wing of Holden

      From what my Dad said they use to do in the 60's was make the performance car look like a lesser model to trick people into racing them. They switched badges between my dads 67 malibu 327 and his friends 67 SS malibu 396 so people thought they were racing the 327.
