I'm assuming there's at least a similar system to that in this mod. Anyway to do this, shift click on the division training button on your feild Marshall (it works on individual generals too if you want to do one at a time), and your troops will excersise to their max level and then stop so you don't waste extra equipment training them. While the WRRF was the red army and their generals (which is why Tukhachevsky and Zhukov were the potential leaders) and the actual soviet political cabinet is spread out across Russia. Yagoda is perhaps the most legitimate successor of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, because his government is led by the remains of Bukharin's NKVD cabinet. Though most of the soviet political cabinet have fled to Komi.
You should play the Second west Russian war submod for added flavours and scripted events and also you should check the description it's say your playing Kaiserreich instead of TNO overall. I have fun watching this.

At the end of the campaign you unlock "arcade mode" basically some special Decisions you can pick free of charge that alter the game in a non cannon way, such as starting ww3 or deactivating the thermonuclear war event.

As an expert in TNO lore/gameplay, I feel like I should help clarify a couple of things for you. The difference between Tuckachevsky and Zhukov is that while both want to see the USSR return they want to do it differently: Zhukov wants the USSR to stop doing "war communism", a system where all the money and resources are spent to the military with little going to the civilians. Tukhachevsky disagrees with this as he sees massive military spending as a necessity in order to destroy the Germans, while damning the civilians to poverty. This explains why you weren't able to unify with Yagoda, Tuckachevsky is just that insane in the eyes of every other Soviet unifer. Secondly, it's actually Irkust that's the most legitimate claim to the USSR, as that's where the Soviet government fled when they lost WW2, its even one of their national spirits. The reason why you could only core Kazakstan and not any of the rest of Central Asia, is because in OG TNO you could incade and annex Kazakstan, but sometime down the line they removed it. If you want more content for Russia after reunification I'd suggest the Second West Russian War Mod as it adds the ability to regain the Reichkomiseriats from Gemrany. If you do choose to do this I'd firstly play as Novosibirsk led by Vasily Shukshin, as he's cirrently the only with a focus tree.
I suppose now is a bad time to mention that you're supposed to work through that first regional tree before you jump to the super-regional tree you had to sit on for like 6-ish years?
well to be honest the west russian revolutionary front is the easiest country to play as, because of its strong economy and stupidly strong buffs late game, so united warlords of siberia stand no chance anyway
once you get hold of how the russian warlords work, try siberian warlords, such as, in my opinion the best ones, the black league or the siberian black army, they have a good challenge altho i never beaten WRRF because of the overpowered buffs and economy three times the size of mine
oh and yeah, this game wants you to be a bit patient, as you see with the siberian free territory, you could declare war, and everything went as the game wanted it to, but it isnt as quick to start
