She brings the message, that is her sublime strength. And you believe her, no way around. Even if you don't understand the language. Few singers can do that.

Never heard this version before, the orchestra certainly puts a nice, different spin on it. Happy Friday and thank you as always for the video and commentary

Emma sings from her heart, sincerely and openly. Various technical highlights are also presented in terms of singing. The emotions you hear from Emma are real, while from other singers it quickly comes across as "manufactured" or over the top. Although it's not the best recording quality, I highly recommend looking up Emma's cover of Father. She sang it at the annual commemoration of the fallen American soldiers during WWII. If you zoom in on her face you can see how she empathizes with a song. th-cam.com/video/y554GsqMHj8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KArm5JNmy5sxBNf8😅h

First. thanks for your thoughts on one of the four songs that Emma was involved with for Christmas, they are all incredibly good, and show just how much she is already maturing, and responding to the gentle and powerful encouragement that Andre Rieu is giving her, and that is only going to get better as she starts the world tour with him in the next few days.
To give you some additional ideas, she's done two songs recently with Andre, both getting huge view numbers on TH-cam.
The first is 'White Christmas', and Andre gives her the freedom to walk on stage, and sing the first verse a capella, with no introduction or guidance note, and it's so soft and gentle. yet powerful, you could have heard a pin drop in that huge audience. Then they build it, and at the end, Emma winds it back down again so wonderfully, a sublime performance.

The other song that's also so good, 'All I want for Christmas is you', everybody in, the official version is quite short, but good quality, there are longer versions on TH-cam, but they tend to be audience recordings, with variable audio and video quality.

If you're interested, Emma also did a duet version of Voia with a German singer, Helene Fischer, and probably as a result of having sung it a few times now, Emma changed things a little, even stronger performance, and singing duet with one of her idols. who's nearly 25 years older than her, Emma more than rose to the task, she did as she has previously, she absolutely LIVES Voila. and makes it her own, she is so in to that song because of the meaning for her, and the response from the audience is so strong, it's already heading to close on 2 Million views in a matter of days.

I will close with one plea to everyone that reads this page,
Please, if you can, join me in making a (regular) donation to Emma's foundation, gastrostars.nl
They are a possible source of treatment or even a cure for people like Emma, it would be a tragedy if Emma had to stop singing because her gastroparesis had become worse, and her foundation may be the way that new treatments or a cure can be found, one of the key members of the team is a surgeon who worked at the Maastricht hospital, she also has gastroparesis herself, and she has been forced to give up her work at the hospital because of a deterioration of her health, so her focus now is the foundation, and with her knowledge and experience, her input will be vital.
It would be so good to hear that they have made some breakthrough that will enable Emma to be free to do what she is so good at, it would mean that her other dream might also become reality, with all she's been through in her short life, for her to at last be free from the two feeding pumps that she's tied to for 22 hours a day, that would be more than a good result.

Hey man. Check out the Hallelujah version Emma did with only a piano at her house. For me that version is more intens. Even now by only thinking about that version gives me chills.
And thanks for the nice reaction on our angel from the Netherlands
Keep up the good reactions 👊🏼

Emma is OK she is a small person does not have the power and quality of singing voice why I prefer the Version Lucy Thomas did that you reacted to, Lucy is more powerful, more music in her singing, stronger and More vibrado and more melodious singing !!! and they were about the same age when each sang the song !!!

You forget about her terrible illness. She needs more strength than others to sing such a beautiful version with a paralyzed stomach. She doesn't have all the strength that many people get from their stomach or abdomen, which makes it all the more of a performance. The fact that she is smaller than other 15 year olds is also due to the disease and 30% less life expectancy. All the more I admire her strength and fortitude and her will to find with everything she has with so much soul.

@@udohalfkann7660 BUT in the end she is NOT a powerful or excellent singer !!! That is the end result !!!

The audiomix is quite bad. I've used Spectralayers to separate the singing from the orchestra and added a bit more volume to Emma and then the whole performance is a lot stronger.

Lucy Thomas is a good singer and she performed nice version of Hallelujah. However, it was totally conventional and without innovation, or anything special frankly.
Emma has performed a far more nuanced and technical interpretation, and with far more emotional impact.
I hear this critique of 'lack of power' all the time. It is annoying and not true. Singing delicately is not a lack of power. Emma can belt with the best of them. Ever heard of Brenda Lee or Theresa Brewer? Both were diminutive female vocalist with big, powerful voices like Emma.

That is very true and I would have mentioned it, but did not want to appear to be making an excuse@@berretje71
