The phrase about following the money is indeed said by both Daniels and Freamon, but to me the interesting about it is how different the tone is between one and the other. Freamon is excited, Daniels sounded scared of the hornets nest he was about to kick.
Also, the scene between Avon and the referee is possibly the most important in the whole show in terms of understanding his character.
He a man today is all I will say. God I am excited to see her journey, and she gets it so this will be fun
There are God only knows how many more action packed police procedurals out there but the step by step process of detective work The Wire takes You through will always be my personal favourite. Loving Your reactions and takes to this show.
Youre one of the only people I've seen have a big reaction to Avon's finger wag moment lol. Loved it.
I really enjoyed your reaction and thoughts and hope you' ll stay with the Wire, this series is just at the beginning of is journey and it is only going to get better
Baby Michael B Jordan as Wallace breaks my heart.
This episode shows why Avon is truly the king. He knows that a do-over would disrupt the natural flow of order within the game (not just basketball); and he chastises the ref because as a referee, you must have authority over the game, and by proposing a do-over, you’re relinquishing your authority and disrespecting the game. Avon does not respect anyone who cannot stand up for themselves, and you’ll come to see that theme throughout the course of the show. Great moment of who Avon really is too.
Avon Barksdale. His character gets better in my eyes everytime I rewatch the show
@@karabomasibi2331 As evil as he may be assumed to be, he’s one of the purest antagonists in TV history.
I have been loving The Wire reactions thus far. Being from B’More, I’m a lil biased. 😅 I do hope you continue the remainder of the series. It’s soooo good and gets better & better.
Enjoying these reactions.
Great job 👏
No spoilers no comments, but love seeing your reaction. Thanks
Danke!
Thank you!! I hope you enjoy 😊
You should also do the mini series... The Corner. You'll love it I promise. It's pretty much like a prequel to the wire. Same West Baltimore area, same issues, except The Corner is more focused on the addicts point of view
Really enjoy your reaction but on this particular video it seems like the audio from The Wire clip is a little too low. Your audio seems fine, it's just The Wire part.
This show is mostly about metaphors but I suggest you don’t look for them. They usually come naturally after the 3rd watch
21:24 “You talking about a do-over” says Avon while the camera pans to D’Angelo. Dee knows he was born into this life and there’s no way he can escape and put time back on the clock.
I am so sorry Jan, for placing judgement on you. You understand a lot more than most people. Your catching on to the flow of the show. But you might find relief at times, But there are no rainbows and long happiness in this life in the inner cities. But keep
Going, excuse my language, but I'm really starting to F@#k with you keep going.😊
Do you know that Wallace is a young Micheal B. Jordan of Creed?
Whole show is great but season 4 is so special to me. Hope you make it that far
i’m hoping she makes it to the final episode 5x10
Oh yes. The whole show is fantastic (yes, even seasons 2 and 5) -- but season 4 in particular is arguably still the greatest season of TV ever created.
@@Kadaspala 2 is phenomenal. Don’t understand the hate it gets
To see how interested you are in all of the intricate details of the show is fascinating and the real action and complexity that the show is known for hasn't really even started yet.
I think this was the episode I realized "Oh shit, this is like the last episode of M.A.S.H., but every episode" or some other silly parallel that made sense at the time. It's over the top but at the same time you really start to recognize that the writers have a plan and it's a good plan.
P.S: I hope your Thanksgiving cooking stream turned out o.k. in the end. Mine was great! KUTGW.
Jan, where is my episode reaction of The WIRE?
Like the content, but you need to check your audio levels before you upload. Some of the episodes are perfectly fine, others, including this one, are extremely quiet. Had to up my volume to 100 and it's still not loud enough.
Check out "We Own This City" if you want to see what Herc and Carver would really be like. Great, smart reaction.
Hey Jan, no more guesswork, and maybez.
Let the story play out, I have 2 request: first let the dialogue in a scene play out then add your comments. 2 please play more attention to The WIRE and your WIRE fans. Please put aside a couple of those other shows for this show, you should know now like every one else, This is Thee Greatest Series on TV, thank you have a good one.👍🏾
I agree, she does like one Wire episode a month. At this rate, we'll be here for like 6 years! 🙄🙄🙄
Alright Jan, We love you, in the hood all we know is tuff love so don't take my words personal. It's just to help with insight to this street stuff help you navigate the mindset. Please get back to The WIRE soon🫶🏿
