Harald to Ivar: 'Halfdan is gone, do you think he would visit me?' Later... Halfdan to Harald: 'Hello brother, I've come to take you to Valhalla' *feels strike*
True. But I am talking about real names, places and dates. The battle of Eddington was a defining one, so was the battle of Hastings in 1066, they defined the future of England, where they really defeated the viking armies. Most Norse people did not fight, they just assimilated into Europe. By the time of the battle of Eddington many Norse kings had adopted the Christian faith and that usually meant asking (or forcing) all their subjects to conform and also adopt the new religion

@@shakir2893 Yeeeah, Vikings left historical accuracy behind long ago, before the show even started airing the first season. Ragnar and Rollo, brothers? No. For one thing, they weren't even from the same country originally (Rollo was Norwegian, and Ragnar if he existed was supposedly Swedish or a Danish-born Swede). For another thing, they were at least half a century apart. Ragnar would have been too old to join Rollo's siege of Paris in 885, and in fact, Ragnar had been dead 20 years by then (again, if he ever existed) because the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle says that the Great Heathen Army arrived for revenge in 865. And that's only one of the historical inaccuracies just in the first few episodes alone. Six seasons later, I've learned to view the show as pure fantasy, not historical fiction. @@ms_scribbles Thanks for your comment. I have watched the Last Kingdom and will continue to watch, I believe they have a new season coming up in the near future. True regarding the Heathen army. That last battle was the battle of Eddington, I think in 878. This is one of my favorite episodes of this show. When the two tribes of peoples come together in joy and assistance. It is the most human. Yes, the rest of the episodes and seasons, the wars, the betrayals, the deaths... are all also human. But when that arrow breaks and baby Ragnar coos...Humanity. Peak humanity.
"no way".. ."there is no way" ... ."could he still be alive?" ... Floki (and that little giggle of floki) that was like a small version of Mando's Luke S scene
The Mi’kmaq definitely did not need Floki’s expertise in constructing their boats or dwellings or anything else. The indigenous peoples were incredible engineers in their own right, perfectly adapted to their environment and with more understanding of the type of wood and other materials available.
I love this episode. Loved Harald’s death scene with his brother... definitely got me emotional. Really excited to see your thoughts on the finale. I’m going to miss “Vikings” SO DAMN MUCH. ⚔️😭
Harald had to die to get a good word from Steve 😂 Don’t know man, really conflicted with how he died. Like, the way he went out, killing the guy who killed him, singing with his brother until his final breath, that was badass and fitting, and the fact his brother was happy to come and escort him to Valhalla was a happy ending for him. But the circumstances were indeed silly. For the Vikings, he’s probably the most important person on that field, even moreso than Ivar. Where are his bodyguards? Nobody thought to keep an eye on the King of Norway? He just got lost in the woods and got killed because he wasn’t looking? Don’t know, I’m really conflicted on that one.
As Vikings draws to a close, you guys really loved the show. Might i suggest the show: The Last Kingdom. I watched it while waiting for the rest of the shows of Vikings, it feels really like a Vikings spinoff and yet not a spinoff. The Last Kingdom is really, really similar to The Vikings. Please check it out. I think you will not be disappointed. It has Alfred king of Wessex and his dealings with Vikings that has settled in north part of the country.
The song Harald and his brother Halfdan sing is over a thousand years old. It is taken from a poem composed by the Icelandic warrior and skald Egill Skallagrímsson, who was a true viking of the 10th Century, and whose story is set down in one of the Icelandic sagas, Egil's Saga. While the lyrics have been somewhat modernized and set to a tune, they are still recognizable.
No need to cry ! --- The real historic Harald Finehair had a long life in Norway, he had many wifes during all the years and had, at least, 20 children ! Rejoice !
Yes, I like your comment. --Harald FineHair, King of Norway, had at least 20 children and many wifes in his long life. He died at an older age , in Norway. Why , in the Vikings TV series, this important Norse King was shown often as a '' perplexed Viking'', this is a mystery !
I had a history test right after last week's episode and the final question was "What's the place with the bald eagles?" and the only answer I could give was "Where Ubbe went" ... how could you guys leave me hanging like that???
Also, we found another tomb. A shield-maiden was buried there. Through bone analysis, a 3D image of her arm muscles was made. They are comparable to present day Olympic female rowers... So, they could indeed go on killing sprees, especially considering that the average height in the rest of Europe for men was about 160 cm due to general malnourishment, and Vikings towered at 170-175 cm, with our current average height being 182,3 cm. Lastly, I really wish you guys would react to the 2-season series Rome.
Oh my Gosh...Rome is by far one of the best series I ever seen. I thought Vikings, Breaking Bad, GoT was good. Rome is a stand alone show. Well made. All I can say is for those who never seen it, you just don't know what you've miss.

This is something I only noticed after watching this reaction even though I’ve watched the episode itself several times now. Ubbe being the one to find Floki was a good homage to back in season 4 I think it was when Floki was arrested by Bjorn and Helga helped break him free. Who was the one to find him hiding underwater? Ubbe! This might be me looking into it too much but either way I think it’s dope that Ubbe was the one to find him

Great review as always. This episode was amazingggg. Top 5 easy.
Man I wish we got a whole season of the Ubbe and Alfred storylines and no Kattegat at all. What a thing to be able to experience- new ppl, new lands, new customs. Just amazing. As I was watching that battle, I knew Steven was gonna be “ohh dayyymnnn” and Nikki was gonna be “WTF FFS” at Ivars battle tactics. Total hats off to Peter Frantzens Harald. Epic send off. And great touch bringing back Halfdan. Wow.
Can’t wait for the finale!!!

@@Nikki-sx5hp Nice. I hope Vikings Valhalla comes out soon so we can see King Cnut The Great and King Olaf The Great.
@N7Andy true LOL
@N7Andy This is The Internet.
Its just like the Boat that treehouse, "Dont you know Floki the Great Boat Builder." - Harold Finhair
Seeing Haralds ending the person (we hated the most for so long) was actually the end of the last of the "Viking" nature.
Final scene makes me cry, once again because of you 😭😍 God bless Floki ❤
This is one of my favorite episodes of this show.
When the two tribes of peoples come together in joy and assistance. It is the most human. Yes, the rest of the episodes and seasons, the wars, the betrayals, the deaths... are all also human. But when that arrow breaks and baby Ragnar coos...Humanity. Peak humanity.
"no way".. ."there is no way" ... ."could he still be alive?" ... Floki (and that little giggle of floki)
that was like a small version of Mando's Luke S scene
hvisterk going berserk is a highlight, he is a man born for war
can’t wait for ep 20, please upload soon i finished the series like a month ago i’ve wanted your reactions forever🤣
The Mi’kmaq definitely did not need Floki’s expertise in constructing their boats or dwellings or anything else. The indigenous peoples were incredible engineers in their own right, perfectly adapted to their environment and with more understanding of the type of wood and other materials available.
Well it’s a tv show. Not an accurate one at that. Just enjoy it
@@christianjohnson2275 I do enjoy it, just adding some info to their commentary. That's what these comment sections are for. Commenting.
This.
“Crazy man!” Lol I love that part.
I love this episode. Loved Harald’s death scene with his brother... definitely got me emotional. Really excited to see your thoughts on the finale. I’m going to miss “Vikings” SO DAMN MUCH. ⚔️😭
Floki is just too precious 💜 must protect at all costs lol
Hvitserk was a badass in battles this season , really looking sharp and ruthless
ahhhh!!! I'm so excited for yall to finish this AMAZING SHOW!
Had to watch your reaction to Floki twice. Love it! So happy he’s back.🤗❤️
As Vikings draws to a close, you guys really loved the show. It has Alfred king of Wessex and his dealings with Vikings that has settled in north part of the country.
always liked when halfdan and harald would sing FLOKI MY BRO i cried a LIL just a LIL lol and flok with his Laugh Tehee! lol
The first tree carving was Bjorn and the bear.
RIP to my Harald ...I cried like a baby 😩😢💔
SO HAPPY to see Floki though ❤️
No need to cry ! --- The real historic Harald Finehair had a long life in Norway, he had many wifes during all the years and had, at least, 20 children ! Rejoice !
@@RayB1656 that actually makes me really happy to know he found a wife and had a family. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Funny how Harald I had so many children and in the show he had none
Yes, I like your comment. --Harald FineHair, King of Norway, had at least 20 children and many wifes in his long life. He died at an older age , in Norway. Why , in the Vikings TV series, this important Norse King was shown often as a '' perplexed Viking'', this is a mystery !
Yes, Vikings was on the other side of the Atlantic so its true.
They discovered the land looong before Columbus
Great episode the battle unreal heralds death chills. Flokie returns loved this episode
EPISODE 20 NOW PLEASEEEEE THIS IS SO EPIC 🥺
This was such a great episode!!!
man im so glad we got to see halfdan one last time
I had a history test right after last week's episode and the final question was "What's the place with the bald eagles?" and the only answer I could give was "Where Ubbe went" ... how could you guys leave me hanging like that???
I love it when Steven says "That can't be a good sign" when Alfred sees Jesus but I say the opposite, it's the best sign. I laughed in a good way to be clear, no judging, I just found it humorous.
Harald was a Viking to the core.
Ubbe!
This might be me looking into it too much but either way I think it’s dope that Ubbe was the one to find him
I don't believe all those Saxon soldiers couldn't feel the earth changed drastically under foot. In the crippling lol
I live in the town next to Edington where they had the battle, pretty cool knowing a battle that changed the history of the country, happened down the road from me 😁
I love how similar their cultures are♥️ So hard for torvi to NOT be my favorite character
I've been waiting NINE EPISODES for that reaction!!!!!
Just wanted to say you y'all are my fav reactors. Nikki, you're hilarious AF, Steven, you are cool AF bro. i appreciate your dedication to doing these reactions and I hope you keep up the good ishhhh! Big shout out from NEW YORK! PEACES!!!
i like how they named floki as crazy man
Hvitserk always been like his uncle Rollo he fight like him too...this EP my fav in this season
Perfect timing, just got home from a looooong azz day!!! Leeeeets go!
I love how Harald and Halfdan continued to sing even after Harald's death
I loved watching your reactions over 19. Thanks!!!
There's a stone somewhere on the Newfoundland coast with Viking Runes.
Also, love or hate him, King Harald was, at his core, a romantic.
I just loved Nikkis reaction when she realized Crazy man is Floki 😍❤️
I'm proud of you Nikki. I cried like a fucking idiot when Ubbe said "Ragnar"
Floki I couldn't wait to see you react to that fact in the show
If no one has mentioned this before, just FYI, the actress that portrayed Gunhild has won a few Olympic medals for Norway in swimming. I think it's 🇳🇴
Every single time I watched a shocking part, or crazy episode, I had to run over to your channel ASAP just to see your reaction, so someone else could share the excitement with me. Lol
"Don't watch us for educational content... LOL"
Harold: Death by....fog.
Not the tale to tell in Valhalla.
GREAT episode! We deserved 15 more like this one !! But there's only one more. And then it was over, forever. Snif, snif, snif.
I just binged the series and finished it about 20 minutes ago😭😭
Oh no the last episode is gonna destroy me again...can't wait for your reaction guys!! 💙
In history it wasn't "Ubbe" who found the land. But there are remains of vikings etc so we know they did find it.
Halfdan sings so fast like he so excited and can't wait to get too valhalla with his brother.😢
If Game of Thrones ending had been anything c!ose to the level of awesome like Vikings is turning out to be, that would have been been a superb and a satisfying conclusion to that epic show. Vikings has run circles, already, around GOT's finale season, and it hasn't even aired the actual finale yet.
Am I the only one who noticed that when Ubbe and the native woman said crazy man in norse it sounded like the name Othere??
A Viking named Leif Eriksson, son of Erik the RED found North America 1000 A.D.
So everyone that says Columbus was first, think again. We discovered and changed the world! - Swedish Viking 💪🏼
In your defense guys, they were only on Newfoundland, the island, never on the actual continental north america. From what I know, no norse settlements have ever been found on the actual continent ;) But... yeah... ;)
I loved the reunion of Floki. Seeing the wood carvings of all the stories.
Floki ended up being my favorite character!❤
Like gunhild said lesser people are now ruling
Poor Kattegat is a shell of its former self. All the greats are gone from Kattegat now, so Kattegat is irrelevant, unfortunately.
