Great videos. I have probably watched nearly every BW video on TH-cam, and the information you provide is fantastic, thank you! Please keep making these, BW or otherwise.

Thank you so much for your comment. Funny: I probably cut 15 minutes off this video because I was afraid it was toooooo dang long. Good to learn there’s guys out there who really want to hear the good, bad AND ugly about this wonderful car.

Dan, as far as the “little things” don’t forget the complimentary V-Academy as an original Blackwing owner.

Booked. I’ll be there in a few weeks. This will be my 3rd such event: First was Skip Barber’s school at the VIR when I bought my SRT. Next was Chin TrackDay at Summit Point with my NSX. Now I’m off to Nevada!! I say it’s my 3rd…but that’s just in cars; I’ve done EIGHT race schools with the legendary Keith Code and his California Superbike School. Two were at Laguna Seca and two were at Willow Springs.

Nice! I have a ‘24 manual as well, but haven’t done Spring Mountain yet. On my to-do list for ‘25. Great videos btw…keep it up.

More of what they don’t tell you: You only have 1 year from date of delivery EVEN IF THE SCHOOL IS FULLY BOOKED UP and they can’t take you. You can still attend IF (1) you send your VIN to Cadillac, and (2) they approve of your attendance. They don’t have to approve it. I don’t know the approval rate, but I wouldn’t push it too far beyond the 1 year.

Thanks for the info. I assumed I had at least a year. Just bought mine late September, but I’ll be sure not to waste any more time reserving a spot.

Happy Holidays Dan! Sorry to hear about your broken arm. I wish you a fast recovery. Thank you for the detailed blackwing video! I now want a manual blackwing myself. Have you ever had thoughts of modifying your blackwing? I recently watched John Hennessey shop tour and John referred it as the four door exorcist with their hp1000 package.

May I recommend to you Matt Farah’s “The Smoking Tire” video on the Hennessy Blackwing? Please watch it before considering a Hennessy Blackwing. If you’re like me - a fan of the manual (and it sounds like you are), then his video is an eye-opening experience. But to answer your question directly: If I keep the Blackwing, then I am pretty sure I’ll install (1) a Magnuson TVS2650R 3-liter supercharger, (2) kooks headers, and (3) an ECU flash…probably from FabSpeed (I’m a repeat customer. They’re awesome, and trust-worthy). I won’t achieve Hennessy-level HP figures. But I’ll get 60-70% there, at less than 30% of the cost. THANK YOU for your comment!!

My GR Corolla lets me set a distance in cruise control. 😮

Really? In a manual? If you didn’t intervene, would it allow itself to bog down if the traffic ahead came to a crawl?

@. Yes, in manual. It’s adaptive and you could shift gears without canceling the speed and distance you set until it goes under 30mph. It’s pretty good.
