Halooo.. It's 2023 already and wondering whether this Sigma is still favorable compare to newer Tamron SP 35mm F1.4. I am a Canon R6 shooter and is considering one of these two lenses, as RF 35mm is not as sharp as these. May I have your view pls.
PS. Nice little review. Do you know how we can weather protect our lens that don’t have it built in? Is there a way that you know of other than using one of those cheap all weather gloves for camera/lenses?
Thank you. I went last year to Yosemite and Sequoia NP. It was amazing. I have made a few videos on those places. I will link in this comment. I might make a video in the future on how best to use this lens, or how 35mm lenses can be used in photography. What do you think ?
Thanks mate, I'm not too sure on how to protect your non weather proof lens, but I will have a look into it. Might be an interesting video to make. Also would be handy to know in the future. Thanks again 😃
Apologies for the late reply! I would always recommend a prime as they tend to be sharper. It really depends on what your shooting because the zoom lens might be more suited to certain situations! Hope this helps!
1000£ cheaper isn’t a savings of 999£. It’s a savings of 1000£. I also liked that the lens was able to keep up with the fast paced focusing of mountains. 🤣
The canon is £1629 and the Sigma is £628. A £999 saving. But as i’m predominantly a landscape photographer I don’t have many photos that were taken in a fast paced environment, hence why I use photos that I took at Yosemite National Park. but what I will try and do in the future is take more real-world photos in different environments and situations to really test how lenses work in different situations. Thanks for your comment
you can't compare build quality with Plastic crap - Sigma builds their lenses like Canon SHOULD! Metal vs. Recycled plastic is like comparing Titanium to straw - you get the weight because you KNOW the barrel is made of good quality manufactured lens (Sigma) that can withstand a lot more than some sort of plastic.

This lens can attach to canon dslr ?? Kindly guide 👀
Dude, where can I see more of your photography containing those vistas and mountains? Seriously gorgeous pics. I want to see more!

Photography By Feaver Hell yeah, any video that is both helpful and informative to all levels of photographers is a good thing James.
Is this lens better than Sigma 18-35 F1.8 DC HSM Art lens on an aps-c body? What would you recommend between the two?

Great video mate, really useful!
Glad it was helpful!😃
What is your body used on the pics?

Photography By Feaver Cheers! I ordered the lens anyway. Should be a few days. Be safe!
It’s a great lens. You’re going to love it 😊. Thanks. Stay safe too 👍🏻
