If he cut and ran after two months of his first marriage he doesn't understand what marriage is about and did not take his vows seriously. Basically his words mean nothing and you'll find that he does not commit to anyone or anything for the long term. Becca is fooling herself if she thinks he's the best for her. There are many more suitable men for her. I think the problem with her is that she feels she's getting on in age and wants to settle down and have a family. Is it me or do all the bachelor/bachelorette dates seem awkward, if not staged to a degree? And when they talk it's really nothing more than idle chit-chat. There is nothing of any depth. Great comments and observations. I have reason to believe that they are more "staged" and it is more "acting" vs. real conversation, real love growing, etc. Alcohol certainly adds to it, exacerbating situations, good, bad & otherwise. As an aside, I had real hopes for Taylor + Derek making it all the way to a marriage. Sadly, that ended and went bust. I am hopeful to a point for Raven and Adam from last year's BIP. We'll wait and see what happens for them both henceforth. Maybe Adam and Raven did things right and held off on getting to an engagement for the time being. Real love takes time to grow. Maybe this is the year for them to move forward to becoming engaged. We'll see.

If you think about it, there is about 10 camera men and crew around them while they are having this conversation. With that said, they are still expected not to look at the camera, and have these tough conversations while 10+ people are around them. So they are always surrounded by an audience, even while having the toughest of conversations. That alone is crazy to think about. Or to have a camera man constantly following you, shining light in your face and never having that alone time.

Engagements are basically the same thing, albeit it is pre-marriage but still a commitment and a covenant. As an aside, Peter Kraus was basically right, all in all, in his views and values: engagement is a marriage or words close to that. Actually, engagement is a formal agreement and a commitment to a real marriage. At that time, he wasn't truly ready to propose to Rachel at that time and needed more time to decide. It is understandable. IMHO, it takes > 2-3 months to know someone well enough to consider for potential marriage. I am hopeful that Becca K. makes the best and most sensible decisions, after what she went through in recent months. Just saying.
He sounds like he's describing my mom, and my mom and dads relationship. I honestly don't know how they are even still together, they wanted to make it work, but nothing has changed. Thanks for the reply and the link too. I concur that Garett doesn't really seem to know what commitment is. It is something to be taken very seriously and NOT randomly or haphazardly. An engagement is a very serious commitment as is a marriage and a work relationship or contract. Values and ethics appear to remain AWOL. Garett erred in marrying his first wife, if she really was manipulative, abusive, etc. He may have reciprocated too, though no information or fact to that. There are two sides to every situation and story for sure. IMHO, Arie seriously erred. He very seriously mishandled matters earlier this year, even while being in love w/ two women. I think Arie 'fell in love' with both Lauren and Becca because he slept with both women on his overnight dates. Therefore there were two soul ties established with both Lauren and Becca. He didn't realize that Becca was God's will and so went with Lauren. I think he's trying to love Lauren and keep up appearances but deep down he knows he made a mistake.

Something about his story sounds a little bit rehearsed, but maybe not in a bad way. It almost sounds like he’s thought about it for a while to figure out the best way to state it concisely, almost as if he is in a counseling session and they ask him why he’s there. Like, there wasn’t much emotion in it, but it may be beause he’s just had to explain it a bunch of times and at this point it just feels like he’s telling another story. Also, I don’t like the way that Becca automaically questioned him instead of comforted him. Garett erred in marrying his first wife, if she really was manipulative, abusive, etc. He may have reciprocated too, though no information or fact to that. There are two sides to every situation and story for sure. IMHO,
Arie seriously erred. He very seriously mishandled matters earlier this year, even while being in love w/ two women. Thanks for agreeing with my comments and viewpoints. Hopefully, more will learn from the past and that Becca doesn't err or fall in same traps as others, like Arie, did. Whether all works out remains to be seen.
My gut sense tells me that Blake may have a fairly good run or shot at becoming potential "winner". We'll see.
I think Arie 'fell in love' with both Lauren and Becca because he slept with both women on his overnight dates. Therefore there were two soul ties established with both Lauren and Becca. He didn't realize that Becca was God's will and so went with Lauren. I think he's trying to love Lauren and keep up appearances but deep down he knows he made a mistake.

Something about his story sounds a little bit rehearsed, but maybe not in a bad way. It almost sounds like he’s thought about it for a while to figure out the best way to state it concisely, almost as if he is in a counseling session and they ask him why he’s there. Like, there wasn’t much emotion in it, but it may be beause he’s just had to explain it a bunch of times and at this point it just feels like he’s telling another story. Also, I don’t like the way that Becca automaically questioned him instead of comforted him. Like, I do believe there is much room for questioning, but if the tables were turned and she or a woman contestant had said she was emotionally abused in her marriage, I don’t think immediate questioning would go over well. Does that make sense?
