Love your reviews Steven !!! You do a great service to us all, with your reviews. When your at the tail end of your draw cycle, you don't seem comfortable with the bow. You are usually smooth as glass, but this bow seems like it may be missing something. Thanks for sharing so much, with so many !!! Your a kind person. :)
I agree all lives matter. I feel for all those people who lost their life in that helicopter accident. My heart goes out to their families and everyone who was affected. Such a tragedy. I saw these Bear bows at Lancaster Archery. They look awesome! Love the copper/ bronze colored cams! They also had a silver/ mercury colored cam color too. Really sharp looking bows!
That bow makes a loud creaking noise when you draw it. I think it's that cable guard pivot. Not good on a quiet morning in a whitetail woods treestand.
Great review. I have this bow and absolutely recommend it for hunting. Once tuned properly it is quiet and vibration is eliminated. Like any bow you have to fit it to you.
Bear is a man's bow. With some tuning it smooths out. I own Hoyt, Elite, Xpedition, and Bear. Initial tune from Bear is sometimes off but once properly tuned its as good as anything out there. Xpedition cams for their 2020 bows are the bomb, feels much lighter than actual draw weight and fast. Why wouldn't you adjust draw length before reviewing the bow?
Hello Mr. Henn, I have had looked a lot of your reviews and i understand you want to sell the bows. But in my eyes it looks to me, the more you shoot, the more you are looking concerned and a little bit anxious while drawing back. Concerned because of the creaking noise and anxious because of the "biting" bow at full draw. But at the end a very good review as always. Thank you very much.
For a 6.5” brace height this bow seems to be picky on grip and not very forgiving. I’ve had a few 6” brace bows and even my FX30 with 5 5/8” brace and it never bit me. For some reason this Divergent EKO likes to bite. A lot.
I started Compound Shooting with an Bear Cruzer G2 and switched to an Bear Approach HC. Both Bows do a great job for the price. But you need to change the Cableslide to a Roller. I changes to a PSE Rollerguard and after this it was a completely different bow, Drawcycle was much smoother and much more accuracy. I will go for the Bear Status ECO next. Its a much better bow then the Divergent, and i thing it is worth the 200 extra Dollar. If you are on a budget , go for the Paradox because you can change a bit on the bow like Rollerguard installation, and if you get the HC LD Paradox you get an not so bad Micro adjustable 5 PIN Trophyridge Sight and other stuff like quiver for 600Dollar US. Oh and the bow is 32“ ATA. At the end i can say thet my Approach got the same Limbs as the Divergent ECO but if i turn my bolts 6 times iam at 54 pounds on 70pound model, not sure why there ist such en high difference at the Divergent thet you tryed :-) Btw nice channel and good work, it needs more Product testers like you for archery. Geetings from germany
it might be related to draw length. ive seen with some bows they will go to lower draw weights at lower draw lengths. my bear paradox 2020 single cam 55-70lb goes up to 73lb and down to 52lb with the limb bolts out 6 turns at 29.5 inch draw. i was happy getting a bit more max lb and adjustability than advertised.
How does this compare to the diamond deploy sb or bowtech carbon icon? Trying to decide between these 3.. I’ll be using it mostly for treestand whitetail hunting…
I have the Bear Moment. The cable guard is smooth and I think better than the Turmoil RZ. The Obsession is a tack driver though and I really enjoy it for target. Still using the Scott Ascent, any feedback?
Can you educate me on how you calculated what you were expecting by working off of the FPS reported in the product materials. I have a Divergent EKO (rated at 70#, 28"dl and an 85% letoff). What should i expect, and how do I calculate the IBO expectation.
It will depend on your arrow setup. If you really want to know your true speed buy a chronograph or visit a shop that has one. With this bow at 73 lbs, 29.5 draw and nearly 500 gr. Arrow setup I am running 299-303 fps. Really good for a heavy arrow.
Can you please do a review of the those 55lb steel cable bows made by poelang? I already have a bow but am considering a finger shooter compound bow and wondering if they are any good for that with their long axle to axle and old style design. Thanks
Curious why this particular bow would be a choice for hunters with the huge selection of available bows in this short camo compound category ? Is it price ?
Draw length adjustment without a press, lots of draw weight adjustment. Bear have a solid reputation for building solid bows. The speed is fine for hunting. The weight is 4.1 which is light and ideal in my view for most hunters. The Elite Kure with rotating modules is more, PSE is more, Hoyt more. Bear really target the hunting market. 2 Piece quiver is good.
@@mikecredeur7941 I have to agreee with you. I own both the Kuma 30 and the Divergent EKO, and while both are great bows, I find the Divergent superior. Just my opinion though.
I have the 2020 bear paradox. I put on the trophy ridge hitman stabilizer and a qad ultrarest drop away. Ibo is 330 fps. I like it alot its 32 inches ata. And a trophy ridge REACT pro 5 site. And Apex side mount Trophy ridge hitman rear stabilizer custom strings Trupeep sight and a kisser button. 70 pound model.
its a b***h to tune if you have to shim the cams, and more than likely you will .. because you have to break the whole bow down to take the eclips and axle out, but once you finally get it tuned. its a good bow
This review of the bow sounds like they paid you to glorify it... tons of bad noise while pulling it so just based on that I wouldn't buy it, SPOOKE the game while you are pulling it....looks like it vibrates a lot and wants to jump out of your hand at the end of the shoot....I wouldn't suggest this bow for the $$$... much better bows for the $$$$ out there
His draw is set too long. I own the same bow and looked exactly the same until I dropped the draw to 28. At 70 lbs it grouped well and was pretty quiet. Takes some fine tuning but is definitely worth the money.
I acutally did. I had a lady who's son died while having a show, I said all life matters and any lose has an impact on those around and people who you dont even know. I said be thankful for everyday we have and make the most of it. But people who work hard for what they want - could be a great mum or dad is cool in my eyes.
You make loud noises just like this bow does about a basketball player who you idolize for some strange reason. You want someone to look up to then ask a cop,, nurse, paramedic or any first responder. Don't idolize some multi millionaire athlete that has done NOTHING for the world. How about sticking to what you supposedly know. Bow reviews. If I wanted your diatribe on anyone's personal life. I will ask you. Obviously you are regurgitating things you heard the media say because my bet is you've never even met this guy but yet you're willing to tell lies about how great he was. Hmmm. Makes me question your bow reviews as well.
He is giving a review and his own personal opinion. Heaven forbid the guy talks.. would you rather the review be. Heres the Bear Divergent EKO. * takes 3 shots* shoots good. Id use it. See you next time.
I dont like thee sound or how it let off. Not very snappy. Alot of vibration.I can tell all this and I've never shot it. I respect Bear. But Bear to me have always been bigger , heavier, clunkier, and slower , my whole life. I've never shot one and liked it. Idk. They just do not fill any parameter for me. Martin, Hoyt , even P.S.E , feel better to me.
Literally the best bow reviews available. Thank you for doing this.

Steven, can you please do a video on how to setup and do a basic tune on a compound bow?
im in Orlando, FL. bear is in Basspro here. Also, Bear headquarters is about an hour away
The bear status is their new flagship. Not the divergent but great review.

Hay Steve, thank you for all your great videos! would you prefer this over a PSE Drive 3B when looking for a hunting bow? Thank you a ton!
I would like to know that too
Can you do a video on the 2020 bowmadness bows?
Still waiting on the kure review.
Im waiting on a 60# The 70# won't go down to 60#. Elite said they are shipping mid Feb.

May I get your opinion on the Bear Divergent vs PSE Drive? Both are around around the same price here in the States. TY!
You should do a review on the Nock 2 It carter release
Wow looks like it's nearly pulling your hand off on release.

@@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale This bow sells for $699 in the US. The Kuma 30 is a much better shooting bow for $899.

When do you have time to golf?
They were my dads bags, well his old ones. But I use to go to a driving range in Canberra. But not since I have been in Adelaide.
Kobe Bryant was worth 600 million - goes to show when it's your time to go, money can't buy you more time.
It's one of the cheapest top hunting bows in the U.S.A. at $699.00 compared to other top end bows at over $1000

video would be better if you spent more time talking about the bow and less time talking about Kobe Bryant. Lets not forget he got away with rape
Bear strings are junk
