That was very entertaining to watch. Well edited, and very well narrated. outstanding Video David! Hope you go racing again soon so we get more of this!
Great Coverage!! I had a very similar weekend to yours. I drove the 14T. I will post the link when I get my footage uploaded. Pretty much an advertisement for Red Bull. lol
Great stuff David! I got chills at moments throughout the video! This was really a joy to watch. I am proud of you for going and living a dream you have had! You were wheeling that thing on the final lap! Heck of a job!
David, I think that if anybody deserved a chance to race at Indy like this, It would be you. I will be looking forward to any other race you participate in and any of your other videos! I will be at the NASCAR races at Indy in September and I would love to meet you.
You did really well for your first ever race. I've driven a go-kart that's similar to the kart you drove, and they are not easy at all to drive well and competitively. Awesome job my dude!
I couldn't pause this video, watched straight thru, you had me all in. Wonderful job documenting ur experience, and I was with you from the beginning. Stellar job. Thank for sharing it with us!!!!
It was a pleasure to meet you. You did a great job for your first race. If you ever get the chance, New Castle would be a good proving ground to learn more about sprint racing
That was fantastic David. I think every fan of your channel & motorsports in general sat back and watched that in envy. & as you've said, you're part of an elite club who's first race EVER was at the Brickyard. Side note, found your channel about a month ago and have been binge watching ever since. Whether it be NH2, Project Cars, or the Red Pill, I've enjoyed it all. I'd say keep it up, but I already know you will.
So cool to see you get a chance to race in real life, especially after all these years I've watched you on TH-cam. Congrats on your opportunity and I look forward to seeing you race next year if you get the chance!
I race Briggs 206 in the ignite class and I was there at Indy. The key to getting out of the corner is to get on the gas as soon as can because the 206 engines bog especially with low gearing. In corners like the hairpin you have to get on the gas before you get off the brake to keep the rpm's up. I recommend going to Margay Racing's website for future races because they have an arrive and drive program where you can rent a kart and race in the ignite spec series which is hands down the most competitive and closest racing. Under the Margay tent there's a lot of very experienced people willing to help.
I've ran the half marathon at Indy twice! We enter the speedway at the entrance on Georgetown and enter the track in the back straight. I've been to the race 3 times, being on the track is very different, being on the track with 35 000 runners is something you can only experience. Looks like I have a new event to try to get into at the Brickyard!
I raced at the 2016 Battle at the Brickyard in Quartermidgets. It's so cool. The QM cars are pretty similar, except they are coil-based suspension with a roll-cage for ovals. USAC puts on some kick-ass shows. Keep at it David!! Also, my former car owner was teching cars on the oval side of the event, and said it was stupid hot. Probably not the best first go at it.
great vlog! and great driving for your first time! you should try and test drive a rotax max senior kart when you have some more experience. they are way more fun to drive and crazy fast!
Man, David! I did a 125cc Racing Day at Michigan International Speedway in May. Bet it wasn't as fun as this though. I brought a cart my friend and his dad made and raced in a little kart track in the infield and then went on the raceway for a Junior 13 Under Race.
Don't be down on yourself dude! You will soon be at the top of the field and take those experiences and use them to improve more than you could possibly imagine and you will succeed!👍
Awesome race man, that race was some good experience for you. Could you do a video on how you met your team and the logistical aspects to deal with for getting into carting?
My two best friends were in the 60 and 94 in your class. 60 was the one that gave you that monster push then ended up with a kart on top of him. Other than all the issues I'm glad you had a good time. If you ever get the chance, come out and race with us in the OVKA at G&J kartway. Hopefully we will see you again next year at the Battle.
Man david im super jealous man. Sure ive jever my driven anything like you did in this video, i only went on like little ones at the fair and stuff. The slow ones. Man wish i wanted to race when i was young. 100% a dream. Haven't finished the video yet, but good job either way
Good job on ya first race you should race more! I’ve always wanted to do Go Kart racing like that but I don’t know anything about leagues and go carts lol
Will you be racing this again next year? if so I might have to come out to this race. I used to race with the Cuthbertson's in Circleville, a small track in Ohio. I have been racing nationals for the past few years but it would be great to experiance this track
That shit was dope. This was a good style of video. I enjoyed the commentary homie. I am curious though, how did the other cuthbertson racer finish? Keep on keeping killer.
This is such good coverage and just as good commentary. The problem with clutch might have been from having your foot on the accelerator and the break at the same time - that wears out the clutch. Or it could just be an old/duff clutch, but just thought I’d say. Are you allowed a helmet cam too? They proved some sick views. Also with this series are you allows to modify your engines? Like skim the heads, debaffle the exhaust etc?
My engineer said it was most likely faulty from the factory and unfortunately helmet cams are banned, but I might move the onboard to the front fairing for the next race.
Says Iracing is too expensive but goes out and does the real thing, fantastic lol.
in iRacing you have a better chance of surviving though...
This should be a movie
“Land of dreams”
DL 14 i would watch it
Going for the Jacques Villeneuve fit on those overalls.
That's literally what I said lmao
That was very entertaining to watch. Well edited, and very well narrated.
outstanding Video David! Hope you go racing again soon so we get more of this!
Damn David, you've come a long way from being Mr. NASCAR Authentics Reviewer lol
Great Coverage!! I had a very similar weekend to yours. I drove the 14T. I will post the link when I get my footage uploaded. Pretty much an advertisement for Red Bull. lol

Fantastic, glad to be a part of this. Wanna see you out there again! Great video
You did really well for your first ever race. I've driven a go-kart that's similar to the kart you drove, and they are not easy at all to drive well and competitively. Awesome job my dude!
Great video! It was a blast to race with you during the weekend.
Shake n bake!
That was a great vlog David!

I couldn't pause this video, watched straight thru, you had me all in. Wonderful job documenting ur experience, and I was with you from the beginning. Stellar job. Thank for sharing it with us!!!!
David what's your thoughts on IndyCar going back to laguna seca?
#W
All I have to say is the corkscrew
It was a pleasure to meet you. You did a great job for your first race. If you ever get the chance, New Castle would be a good proving ground to learn more about sprint racing
very cool to do your first ever race at Indy will we be seeing you at elkhart? or possibly The Rock?
Trying to get a budget together for the Rock
David Land I'll see ya there!
Great Job David! Glad I was able to help you out to get you there to something you have wanted to do your whole life!
That was fantastic David. I think every fan of your channel & motorsports in general sat back and watched that in envy. & as you've said, you're part of an elite club who's first race EVER was at the Brickyard.

18:40 is the guy that flipped ok?
Skittles Master777 If he was seriously hurt they probably would have ended the race
Hurt his shoulder, but is fine otherwise from what I heard.
David Land thats good to hear hes ok
Holtz Films how would you know
Oh.
That "Back Home Again in Indiana..."
Well, let's just say it wasn't what I'm used to.
Awesome job at Indianapolis remember this is the start of bigger things to come for you keep on racing. I would love to race karts there one day.
Great video!! What an awesome experience to have!! Hope you continue to race!

1:56.
Careful. If you drink too much of that, you’ll lose your Red Bull sponsorship.
SovietOnion cause it’s western lol
Way to go David. That was awesome. I can’t wait for the next installment
The "oh my god its david land!" Probably made you feel really good. Congrats.
Well I mean it was my mom... But yeah lol
Oh HAHAHAHAH
Congratulations, David!! So happy for you!
So cool to see you get a chance to race in real life, especially after all these years I've watched you on TH-cam. Congrats on your opportunity and I look forward to seeing you race next year if you get the chance!
Great video, felt like I was there watching it. Glad you got this experience.

Congrats on doing your first race David!
This is awesome, so happy you had a good race! Wow I need to try gokarting more! They even sang back home again, that got me emotional too
So cool! Thank for sharing with us. We are ALL jealous.
I raced at the 2016 Battle at the Brickyard in Quartermidgets. It's so cool. The QM cars are pretty similar, except they are coil-based suspension with a roll-cage for ovals. USAC puts on some kick-ass shows. Keep at it David!!

This was awesome to watch David! Hopefully we get to see more of these!
That is truly AWSOME congrats!
Finally!
I am a fan
You very clearly enjoyed this, David.
It shows, and it made the video a joy to watch.
Awesome job David! Can't wait to see next year's race! You'll do better!
Great work for your first race, every race you learn something to help in the next so keep at it!
Thanks Alan, hopefully we will be seeing you at the front one of these days!
great vlog! and great driving for your first time! you should try and test drive a rotax max senior kart when you have some more experience. they are way more fun to drive and crazy fast!
Been waiting for this to come out! Congrats on one heck of a first go.
Man, David! I did a 125cc Racing Day at Michigan International Speedway in May. Bet it wasn't as fun as this though. I brought a cart my friend and his dad made and raced in a little kart track in the infield and then went on the raceway for a Junior 13 Under Race.
You got to race at Indy, that's just so damn badass! Great video btw, love this style!
Don't be down on yourself dude! You will soon be at the top of the field and take those experiences and use them to improve more than you could possibly imagine and you will succeed!👍
Watching this video reminds me how much i love racing.
Awesome race man, that race was some good experience for you. Could you do a video on how you met your team and the logistical aspects to deal with for getting into carting?
Yes.
Sweet man, look forward to it!
"it's Dale" "he lives" had me dying . 😂😂😂😂😂
Come up to Canada next weekend David. Big Briggs race at Mosport.
I hope they'll give you another ride in the future, David! Congrats at your first start of racing for reals! :P
How many laps of the race and what was the length of the course?
14 laps, 1 mile track
That wreck avoidance was all skill ;)
Watching you here from Brazil, I love your gameplays!
I also had the chance to race at indy motor speedway. I drove an electric go kart which was super fun.
We live here in NZ racing LO206, definitely going to come over and give this a go one day
David Land a key to setup for karts is having them get faster as the race goes on. You always want your last lap to be the fastest
This is probably the best put together video I've seen from you. Love the narration. I can only hope I can have such an opportunity one day.
Good job! Hell of an event to make your debut. I wish this could have happened 10 years ago
You coming back out for the 4th of July? I’m going to be racing there for the first time too but with a bit more karting experience
Well David Land I would love to see you at Pocono next Saturday for the Truck series and maybe see each other
Sounds like a story. Narration is awesome.
I love this video so much, how much do those karts cost and how much is the entry fee
Dude, so friggin' proud of you.
So are you running again this year? Registration just went live.
KUDO, David!! For your INDY race aswell as for the video about it!
Tell 60 thank you. That was badass!
I was there, proud of you David!
lol you look like an American Sebastian Bourdais
Man that must have felt awesome dodging those big wrecks
WOW
Hey David what position did you finish in?
This is my dream race to do in the quarter midget ranks, hoping to do it next year
I race a bandelaro in and I remember the first time I drove its really nerve wrecking
This is so cool man. Great video.
Man david im super jealous man. Sure ive jever my driven anything like you did in this video, i only went on like little ones at the fair and stuff. The slow ones. Man wish i wanted to race when i was young. 100% a dream. Haven't finished the video yet, but good job either way
Are you racing Brickyard this year and if so what class?
Project Cars 2 prepared you for turn 1 pile up and Crashes 😂
Yeee boii, I love these sort of videos. Would love to see more
Good job on ya first race you should race more! I’ve always wanted to do Go Kart racing like that but I don’t know anything about leagues and go carts lol
That was one big violent wreck
Will you be racing this again next year? if so I might have to come out to this race. I used to race with the Cuthbertson's in Circleville, a small track in Ohio. I have been racing nationals for the past few years but it would be great to experiance this track
Yes. Planning to. Hoping to run for a championship somewhere next year.
Was pumped when I saw this in my sub box. #Landspeednation
This is what I want to do this is awesome u get to share this with us very interesting keep up the great video's
I race go karts, but not on asphalt road courses, I race dirt ovals. You should try it!
The dopest vid on this channel
This was awesome.
You should do it next year too experience will of course help you did really well
David will this IMS go kart track be on project cars 2
Brady Nascar88 No, it's only a small race, why would they make a track out of it?
Just recently started racing go-karts to but the dirt ones
Caden Bishop Me too :)
Are does 206 or 212 cc Motors?
So *THIS* was how Project 91 began! 👀
That shit was dope. This was a good style of video. I enjoyed the commentary homie. I am curious though, how did the other cuthbertson racer finish? Keep on keeping killer.
David will you be racing any other cart races this year
Yes. Stay tuned
David Land Cool looking forward to it but just a recommendation if you could ever get it but together to a dirt track kart that would be cool to see
Being aware of what's happening around you also helped avoid the big crash
That’s awesome!do you hope to be a nascar driver?
This feels like a documentary
Hey, you finished the race. And that ain’t bad for a first start
This is such good coverage and just as good commentary. The problem with clutch might have been from having your foot on the accelerator and the break at the same time - that wears out the clutch. Or it could just be an old/duff clutch, but just thought I’d say.
