- BeamNG Drive - Lets try to be scientific with this speedbump test ones again.
This time I have buildt a speed bump you can find around where I live
this speed bump is rated for 30km/h just like the law say. (Norway)
For a 30km/h zone the speed bump have to be 4m (meter) long, but this is only 3m long.
all speed bumps can max have a hight of 100mm (milimeter) (0.1m) but they usualy are higher 200-250mm or 0.25m
I tested the cars at speeds between 100 - 180km/h

Mk, time for another conclusion
- Use a car with good ground clearance or at least big tires if you don’t want to become a pilot.
• Unless your plan is to use the 1st bump as a ramp to fly over the 2nd one.
- Softer suspension is obviously better. _(That’s why the old cars performed better.)_
- Covets seem to perform well for some reason. _(I might want to look into that.)_
- Don’t add a couch on top of your car.
- Go straight or the next bump will send you into a barrel roll.
- *B U S*
- Don’t stop in the middle of the road or else you will get rear-ended by a TastiCola truck.

If Beam could make it so the dirt was reactive to the impact, instead of the vehicles just sliding on dusty surface. When vehicles hit dirt the ground gives way, which slows the velocity and has a force against the object. That would be a great improvement to the program.
I agree, would make for some epic rollover crashes :D
It would be awesome if the mud behaved like Mudrunner, leaving muddy trails as you drive through it, and possibly getting you stuck.

In the UK, going over most speed bumps at the legal speed for the road is asking for trouble. It is abusive to the extreme.

There's this one residential road in my town that is basically "Consecutive Normal Speed Bumps" and if you go too fast its not good for your spine or your car's spine. This is what speed bumps are supposed to be lol, if you go over one too fast _you're gonna have a bad time_ XD
Interesting seeing how cars get rekt by zooming over them though :P
I don't know why i find this satisfying. Especially when the go cars slowly or even fast over the speed bumps

My brother once did this with a van full of people. We were lucky everyone was fine including the van 😆 He always drives fast and he didn't see there was a big long speed bump/table.
Good to hear everyone was okay. I have done that 2-3 times myvself, some of them is so hard to see if they are not marked, (most of them are not)

Yes it sure can be frustrating if you have a lowered car, I have seen they drive over then diagonally to not scrap theirs car.

It’s like the cars are to light in this game cause I’ve went over a speed bump in my jeep going 60 and it isn’t like that like you catch a little air but your stay straight and all that too
I think the Jeep would have a bit more of suspension travle, and one bump is fine but 4-5 in a row, hit the next one befor the car can settle back down. Not sure how that would have ended.

In Turkey we have these bumpers in front of primary schools on both sides of the road so that people slow down in case any child would run into way and these bumpers are legal.
The only thing that makes them Illegal is they are to steep and tall, but nothing is being done about it.

How do you get your car to original spot if u spawn like new car so u dont have to drive all the way back????
I use free cam, then fly back to the start point, then spawn a new car from the menu.

In Norway, there are rules on how high and long it can/must be at different speed limits. Very few are made after the rules.

I do up the shadow to 2048 in the world editor, other then that I do some color grading in my editing software.

@@Vladraconis do you mean that the cars change lanes on the road before hitting the speedbump? That is how i set up the ai route, there used to be stuff in the road the car needed to not crash into. :)
